Why are people guessing Ruins of Surmia? First I’ve heard that they have anything going on in WvW.
They had quite a lot of transfers recently, since they were free.

I find it interesting that some people are putting SFR in front of Vizunah. Sure SFR got the superior skills but Vizunah can literally create a red blanket wherever they go. Unless SFR ups their game and bring at least 3 or so 80 man zergs, they got nothing.
Silver League EU: definitely not UW.
Underworld is in the wrong league imo. They are getting rocked.

I’m skeptical about RoS. They have the highest number now, but they are also going against two definitely-still-tier-2 servers. We’ll have to see how they do against the top 3.

We have to face them in week 3 and 4. Will be interesting to see how they play against Dzagonur and RoF first. If RoS looses one of these matchups the bronze league would be decided short after start.
Hopefully the queues will be better soon. Had nearly queues all the time on all maps and had to wait hours to get in the game. And that in bronze league -_- do not wanna know how it is in gold league

But achievement-/reward-hunters have a lot more impact than I expected: Vizu seems to have better organization and use for these players, Piken seems not to be effected that much.

Well, I’m from SFR, and I hope, we will not win, so all the ppl, that came here, because they thought they will get an easy win and the crap-finisher, will just go back where they came from.
I could enjoy WvW on SFR even in Primetime… now it’s just hilarious. I like the community and I have my friends here, but when sitting in queue for like 3hours + I sometimes wish I would be on a T3 server.

Yes, SFR is loosing because Vizunah and Piken has an alliance. Of course. That has to be the reason, there’s just no other way.
If you think this is bad, wait until the Riverside-Piken alliance is upon you. Piken got the open field melee trains, Riverside got arrowcarts and half the server waiting inside keeps. All bases covered.

doesnt matter, Vizunah gonna win gold league anyway. No other server comes close to the brute manpower and large scale organisation. Viz, in terms of skill, is pathetic, but their determination and manpower is aweinspiring.

Baruch is a powerhouse too. I think they might surprise people. It’s actually why I like EU, so many servers with some really strong players.

(I don’t know what kind of points you get by winning (like 3pts as 1st, 2pts as 2cd…) but with that matchupplan 2cd and 3rd place are’t set yet)
From what I have seen Deso was swamped by PVE players the first 3 days. Us regulars who did need leave have found their feet and adapted to what we have left.
Abaddon can blob around BL maps 2 to 3 times our number.The problem is when you do that,you cannot cover all your bases at once.
Vizunah Square will no doubt win. They have people from two continents playing, so they can be in there 24/7. Right now they have 290k points, Piken Square has 222k and Seafarer’s Rest has 214k.
If they maintain a gap like that in all other matches then they are more or less untouchable. I hope that Piken Square will be second in the season though!
Not directly related to the final winners, but looking at the scores it’s really interesting how many of the 2nd and 3rd places have switched in the last day. Our group was set all week, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and then just today 2nd (RoF) and 3rd (Dzago) swapped places. 2nd and 3rd were not particularly close at this time yesterday, not sure how exactly Dzago made up the difference. Did the entire server pull an all-nighter?
Viz “wins”, jade is second and BB third.
Silver looks very interesting after the first week of matches. Deso is definitely looking the favourite. I think Gandara and AM might be a little disappointed at how far off they finished behind Deso but I think both servers will improve and run Deso closer in match 7.
AG have had a strong first week, winning their match handier than I expected. We will know more of their strength after week 2. I thought GH would be closer to AG, it seems they still have some coverage issues (great primetime). Miller’s are pretty solid in coverage but lack something.
FSP will be buoyed by a great comeback in week 1 and will be looking to carry that momentum into week 2. Week 2 will give a strong indication of where we stand. FR will be a challenge for anyone with their night team, but they definitely slackened off during day and prime time hours as week 1 wore on. UW have had to start from scratch, but have shown some promising signs. Still a long way off challenging over the course of an entire match, but took the lead at times in PPT and have grown as week 1 wore on. Still promises to be a cracker.
Rumors said that were was some sort of alliance between UW and FSP. Not to mention FSP EU crew stayed up 2 days in a row just to win this matchup.
Do we think the league is over after week 1 of 7?

It’s not a real competitive league since wins are determined 100% by coverage, more a fun thing for casuals to feel good about.
The whole wvw is like playing football with cap of 11 players, but some teams can’t bring 11 players for 90mins.
