6pm Server Time (PST) on BGBL (Green) down by the South Camp

Sorry, I forgot we had to change the open invite policy after last week…so as soon as Ellie is on I’ll tell her people are looking for invites.

The parade is at 10PM EST ie 7PM Server Time. We will be meeting behind the south camp of BGBL in the dueling spot/parade gathering ground to the west of the mill a half hour beforehand. Please bring tonics with you if possible to cut down on sending tonics out by mail. You can get free tonics from the guild bank on either BG or TC – KN doesn’t have a finished one yet from what I understand. also, please come in town clothes and stow all pets to avoid auto-attacking.

You guys cost me 20Gold.

I can neither confirm nor deny the naked zerg storm of Bay, photo evidence would indeed be interesting to say the least ;/

everything was great during the dolyak parade, until, of course ICoa had to ruin it for people.

Though I am positive they were not the only ones.

Blackgate has always, and I fully believe, will continue to show me that this is who they are. Ever since we first faced them many tiers ago.

Aw I saw a bunch of iCoa peacefully prancing with the rest of us .. here’s my screenies from tonight’s parade .. was a blast! Was nice to see some Kaineng folks out for it, next time bring more

I didn’t get screenies, but I did get the scare of my life when HB ran up behind us at the DOLY parade, then proceeded to NOT kill anyone Thanks for the scare, guys!

Had a great time at the parade! Just some pics if I can figure it out….

Did anyone get a screenshot of HB rushing the parade?

I find it funny that events like yak parades are more fun and get more participants from all servers in a tier like T2, which is presumed to be a hardcore tier.

Regardless of the score and coverage gaps and frustrations, I respect the hell out of both our opponents for realizing when it is time to fight and when it is time for some fun and appreciate what we’re trying to achieve here (even if these events end badly, most of it seems to have gone smooth and everyone seems to have had a great time).

I think we will hold a Yak Parade in Tier 1 someday.

Kudos to you guys who set up this parade, I enjoyed myself.

I would just like to say that the people in ICoa that were attacking was a mistake and they stopped abruptly when asked by me and told it was a parade, so please dont make it sound like we ruined the entire parade as it went on after that incindent.
Other then that comment about us, it was a lot of fun

I’d love to be part of it someday… I always missed parades due to time differences and I end up at work when the parade is on. If one day we make it to T1 and we hold a parade, I’ll take sick leave just to be part of it lol.

I equate the yak parade as kind of like running with the bulls…. The first time you do it, at least for me, your heart is pounding like a jackrabbit because you’re running in a sea of red. its a leap of faith in a way. After its over you see your opponents in a new light …. It humanizes us I think.

Well that’s the point isn’t it? In the end, we all have to realize that each red pixels have a human behind it (unless its a bot of course) and appreciate the work they have put in for their home server throughout the week, and that’s exactly what these parades aim to achieve. I /bow down to appledainty for the idea and for being committed to holding these events on a weekly basis.

That parade was a blast! I think coming together to have fun is what the game was made for in the first place so being creative about it only makes the experience that much more enjoyable.

Also, the duels at Bay with DIS and Esme from PLAY were loads of fun!
Any SS’s from what would be great since mine didn’t save. =[

actually, there was a little asura thief there trying to cause a ruckus. he was popping dagger storms in the middle of it. we just sort of ignored him and kept on our merry way.

Time for another score update with…As the Yak Runs!

It’s time for the weekly herd migration and the yak paraders have begun to gather. Despite the pain in her heart, Ellie is keeping her head up. She’s a strong pirate woman who doesn’t need no man. Even on Valentine’s Day.

“Valentine’s Day is whack. People hate that fake bullkitten” Charzilla says as he pulls on his boxing gloves for a bout with Sardonicus.

“Yeah. Parades are way more fun. Don’t feel bad, Sis.” Sardonicus pats her shoulder before squaring up to face Charzilla.

“I’m fine. Really!” Ellie replied. She sounds fine enough, but the lie tastes sour in her mouth.

Tryce’s head is still throbbing as he makes his way through the orchard to the parade meeting ground with the Blackgate parade group. He’s not sure what happened the night before, but since he woke up naked on the floor covered in vomit, he guesses it must have been a bad night.

Worse yet, he didn’t get Ellie a Valentine’s Day gift. That momentary feeling of panic passes quickly, though. He’s sure something brilliant will occur to him at just the right moment. He’s never failed before, and he’s not about to fail now.

Tryce approaches the knot of yak team members gathered around their leader, brimful of confidence. “Hey Babycakes! Happy Valentine’s Day!”

Ellie freezes at the sound of his voice, her shoulders tensing immediately and fingers twitching with the urge to grip an arrow. Yue and Hectoncheir move in closer around her, frowning disapprovingly at the Blackgate bad boy.

“Well, well…look what the tide washed up,” says Hectoncheir with mock joviality.

Yue threads her arm through Ellehnia’s and points cheerfully at an approaching group of Kaineng. “Look, Ellebelle, it’s Jarvan! Why don’t we move on out? Handin is leading today, isn’t he?”

Tryce stares at Yue, bewildered by the team’s bizarre attitude toward him. They had always been friends. “Don’t be silly, Yue. I’m leading the parade like always.” Tryce’s confident smile fades int eh face of the yak team’s withering stares. “I’m the official dolyak commander…after all…”

“Not anymore,” Peta says as he strides over to them, his new commander tag flashing, a bouquet of roses in hand. “I’m leading this parade from now on.”

Ellie snaps out of her despondency at hearing the voice of her most stalwart companion.

“Oh, Peta” she sighs with relief and joy before throwing her arms around Peta’s neck. He slides an arm around her waist and allows the corners of his lips to turn upward into a small smile of triumph.
