oooh annd if i try to log in with the very 1st email i used for GW1, the email i created the account with, it just keeps saying wrong password, i’ve tried every single pass i would use.
if i try to log in with the same info as my GW2, it gives me this long error..about i might be typing wrong info. forgot my email/pass, etc….
When you got to link accounts on the guild wars 2 page does it actually show that it is linked? I know when I linked mine pretty much right away my old address said the long error I believe since it was no longer in the database, but my address from GW2 said invalid password.

i don’t really know whats going on thats why i’ve been trying to contact support.

I already had that information in my tickets, so since I didnt get this mass email is it safe to assume that my ticket was correctly filled in, or should I take the pessimistic approach and say that my ticket is mis-categorized?
Oh, ya something must have messed up when it linked it should say Undefined: “Your Email” not “account”.

The ticket was a Hacked Account ticket that was resolved but I was also asked to confirm if I wanted the other account unlinked from my Guild Wars 1 account so that I could link it to my new account. I simply confirmed that I did want it un-linked so that I could link it to my account and finally receive my rewards.
Since it has been over 72 hours since I have heard back I wanted to ask what I should do to proceed. Continue waiting, update the ticket, or re-open a new ticket and close the current one?
Any answer from the forum support would be most welcomed. I do understand that support is busy giving everyone their accounts back and believe me I understand and I am most grateful since I was one of the victims that was lucky enough to get my account back.
Hey guys, i have a problem with linking accounts. Whenever i go and select “link accounts” it asks me to enter email/account name, and password. When i do, it says that the server has encountered a problem, and that i should try again in a moment, i kept on trying for 4-5 hours, but nothing happened. Im sure that the GW1 id-pass, is correct, since i can log in, do u know how could i fix this problem? If the problem aren’t about servers stuffs? Thanks a lot.

Hey guys, do anybody here know how to fix this problem i got? Whenever i try to link GW1 account to GW2 one, it says that server encountered an error, and that i should try again in a moment, i kept on trying every hours for like 5, still nothing happened. By the way, I’m 100% sure that email-password are correct, since i can log into GW1 and GW2 accounts. Thanks for your help.

I know at least one post has stated that their ticket was reported lost and a new one was created, if all you are riding on right now is an email I would open a ticket for the standing issue just in case, you can always close it if they respond.
Try logging in to your guild wars 1 – through the game / web-site.
They have updated their log-ins for GW1 and that may be affecting it. I know awhile back I had to change mine.
I’m wondering if anyone got their issue resolved faster if posting in here or any updates. I have made a claim on the August 28 with the only response 3 days later. The response is this:

Yeah, at this point I am delusion-ally telling myself that I am getting something for my $60 and that is the access to post on the forums, so I am taking advantage of that where I can… again, “delusion-ally”
by website, do you mean ncsoft? i tried logging thru ncsoft and the game with the same account as my gw2 as it has been supposedly linked but i couldnt. i logged in on ncsoft with master account and i could see my game accounts. 1 with the @ncsoft at the end which is the trial and my standard one….same info as my gw2
Hey guys, I just purchased GW2 and after I entered the serial code to my existing gw1 account and went to link them together it says undefined before my email address at the bottom of the page. When I log in to the game It says I have 0 HoM points which is not true, because I have 27 so far. I tried looking at the titles page on my character and it still says I have 0 HoM points. Has anyone had this problem or know a fix?

I started 2 tickets -
1) I couldn’t link my digital deluxe edition with my pre-purchase; and
2) My digital deluxe items are not there.
When I tried to merge accounts I got an error saying “a server error was encountered. Please wait a moment and try again.”
I hate putting things on forums and its usually a sign that frustration has set in and the ticket system is no longer working for me.
There is some too and fro from support and myself and after 1 and a half weeks the guys replying to my ticket aren’t giving me a solution. I am, however, getting copy/paste generic account solutions and please click this link to our knowledge base.
Look, I will be nice here and say If you don’t have a solution to a problem its best not to throw out generic solutions. If you are working on it, best let me know you haven’t shelved it. No news is bad news.
I paid for the digital deluxe edition on launch and didn’t get it. Please refund my purchase. The date/timestamps on my tickets will let you know when I had enough.

I did it because i saw that line in the mass email. I also had the info they needed in my ticket already. I think even though you didn’t get the mass email…just do like the guy that posted before you did…copy the portion you fit into…update your ticket with the required info…i wouldn’t want them to close your ticket for no reason…our little updates might be nudges for them to speed up the process…here’s to hoping anyway…
I am now getting really peeved. In all the years I’ve been playing MMO’s — spanning 10 years and a good dozen or so titles — I have never, ever seen such horrible customer service.
On 8/24 I saw that my GW1 and GW2 accounts were incorrectly linked. I did nothing because I hoped that they would provide an online way to fix that.
On 8/25 it was obvious that it would have to be handled by Support. So I created ticket 120825-004093
On 8/25 I received the automated follow-up email asking if I did indeed need help. I replied in the affirmative and added a ton of information about the two accounts. Info that I believed would be more than enough for them to verify that the accounts were indeed mine.
On 8/30 I finally got a reply from GM Vagabond. It was the boiler plate reply that has been quoted elsewhere in this thread where they ask for 14 freaking items. I replied. I will admit I vented a bit of steam when I did because it’s just asinine what they’re asking for. If someone doesn’t keep all of his boxes AND every email he’s ever gotten from the company, he’s basically screwed.
On 9/6 (yesterday evening) I finally got another reply to my ticket — this one from GM Smote. Guess what? It was the EXACT SAME boiler plate reply, asking again for the EXACT SAME information.
On 9/7 (this morning) I replied yet again.
So today makes the 14th day I’ve been waiting on this issue. It’s not my only issue, by the way. I also have ticket 120826-009320 out because the game at my Tome of Influence. I used it and got a nice graphic splash, but no actual influence. Since it’s a totally different issue, I created a different ticket. That was on 8/26 and it has never received a single reply from anyone.
My best friend with whom I regularly play also had the problem with mis-linked accounts. He has gotten three emails back. All three have been the boiler plate “Give us your life’s history” reply. All three times he’s given answers to all 14 questions.
FYI, I handle customer support for a company that publishes a $700 program. (One that ArenaNet uses for the graphics in Guild Wars 2, no less.) We only ask for two corroborating pieces of information to verify identity. 14 items is completely insane. Especially for a few cosmetic items and titles.
I like GW2. I enjoy it a lot. But I swear, if these two tickets continue to drag on like they have been I will call it quits and refuse to ever give ANet another dime. Look at how long they have been in business and how they had the luxury of being able to take a “we’ll release when it’s ready” stance like they did. How a company with that pedigree can foul up customer support so terribly is completely beyond me.

Hit ‘Back’ and was logged into a GW2 account page but with a totally different account name and a strange ID but saw the ‘Congratulations, accounts linked blah blah’ page. But no HoM rewards in GW2.
Upon further investigation, the ‘linking’ process somehow created a new GW2 web account with my GW1 login/pw. So I have two GW2 accounts I can log into on the GW2 website, but not the game itself. I can only play GW2 with my original GW2 account. When I try to log into the game with my GW1 login/pw, it says no games are linked to that account…
So my main GW2 account isn’t linked to a GW1 account, but the ‘pseudo’ account that uses my GW1 login/pw says it’s linked.
I’m so confused… I thought I followed the proper steps…

My issues is that my Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 accounts didn’t link correctly. Even after following the directions that were given at the time. I put in my ticket on the 25 of Aug. I got a very canned reply that didn’t even answer me. I replyed with more information and inculded a screen shot. I got even more canned replyes. My last reply said that they would have a fix for this with a self help thing soon. It is now the 7th of Sep 2012. How soon is soon? I would really like to make my charaters before they release my names and someone else takes them. My ticket was closed after the last reply from The Guild Wars Team, the number is 120825-004445.

Dear Arenanet/NCsoft support staff,
You cannot put all your support staff on the hacked accounts issue, yes it is a severe case, but people with other problems and/or queries are not less important, these people paid for a game that isn’t 100% for them (obviously excluding specific bugs in game or game performance issues) depending on their problem.
There should be at least people dealing with the other issues at the same time, things would then go quicker and you would have less people complaining on the forums since for most the issues can be fixed within minutes.
I shall put this also in a seperate thread for others to see. As I feel staff are being unreasonble to all users in their methods of resolving tickets.
I accidently activated my retail key to a brand new account, ( coltpython.1260 ) instead of my initial account (to which i activated my pre-order code).
i don’t want to start over my characters/server world/character names. All i want to do is transfer my Retail Key over from this mistakenly created account to my original account.
Ive already created a ticket but its been well over 7 days now with no reply. should take no more than 5 minutes. ive provided proof of everything in my ticket as well.

Seriously, I see mod movement on this forum…. I have asked a simple question, that they may not know the answer to but could go and get and respond to me…

I am curious to know how to link both my guild wars 1 accounts to my guild wars 2 account or if that is not possible for some reason then how do i use the names of my characters that were saved on the second gw1 account on my guild wars 2 account? I find it ridiculous that i cannot use the names i saved because they are supposedly being used by another account. It’s my account, not some strangers. Please advise, thank you.

Just to let you know I am back in game,
Guess what the fix is ,yes your idea.
All they do is add a new code and just delete the old one on the other account but you need to keep the new code.
They tried blaming me for the kitten up with the tickets , I didn’t explain right until I pointed out all my tickets were cut and paste off their website and all I added was my details.
Then i got another reply saying why did I title gw1 to gw2 account until I pointed out their merge the tickets that had nothing to do with each other and it was there kitten-up.
Hope you get in soon , will not be adding my name to fix list ,will not give them credit for something the can fix in seconds. Our cases shouldn’t have to wait more then 1hour the fix is so simple.
EnsirI hope this means they are actually working serial key issues now…
Can we at least get some kind of update here? It’s been well over a week now with no reply.. I’d kind of like to play sometime before October.

I checked the Support Page this afternoon regarding My Stuff and found that it was Closed, but no email was sent out to confirm that it was correctly linked.
and I just check in-game and none of my Achievements have been marked as completed, and went to the HoM and I still get the same message stating that I have nothing…
