If you are stuck on prologue, my girlfriend had the same issue. She left the prologue and was unable to get back in. However, we resolved the issue. If you LEAVE the prologue instance and go back to the verdant brink portal near amber in a regular silverwaste instance, you should be able to get to verdant brink.

I am guessing that since you get to VB in the prologue via a game trigger, the portal in that instance is just there for show. Hope that helps!

I log-in, and the next second I spawn with a character the game crashes…doesn’t matter on which character I do that…I was able to play normally and just fine up until last day. Sent several reports by now…

My “Fractal Shield” & “Fractal Rifle” aren’t “unlocked” in the collections tab. And the “Unlock Skin” option is grey’d out when right clicking my fractal rifle/shield.

Well after my report unusability of elites in HotM was fixed but after patch it is broken again.

So I cannot see elite spec in specs to pick for pvp build. Please fix <3

So since ive downloaded heart of thorns my game has been crashing pretty frequently, im just assuming its because of the dlc itself, so im not too upset about it, still makes it a bit less enjoyable, other than that im loving it so far.

Can’t even launch the launcher to download patch because of this completely new issue tagged in the attachment (hopefully) that didn’t start until HoT launched.

Just in case: “Unable to Open Archive File” something to do with the local.dat file that if i found the right one is there. I haven’t changed anything about gw2 and was able to log in last night to do Teq.

yeh i have the exact same problem

complete freeze of game screen when i am shortly in front of the Portal that leads from the “prologue instance” to Verdant Brink

and have to close game and restart everytime

I began training into the Druid specialization, but because I was in the Heart of the Mists at the time, it didn’t unlock the staff skin/collection for me. (I trained into it in the hero tab; it’s not simply an issue of PvP build only.)

Also, on character selection, my Ranger’s symbol is still a Ranger, not a Druid.

I have all fractal skins , but did not get the chest with the random golden fractal skin.

I lost 10 :/

When I bought the game I was neither sent Serial Codes for the game, nor was I able to complete the process with anything other than my Paypal account. It’s been nearly half a day and still no Serial Codes, updates on payment, or any e-mails regarding what is going on.

The Prologue story mission crashes my game when I try to finish it, and “time for a promotion” is also bugged, I beat the first few gladiators and the story mission get’s stuck

Left instance while in the prologue mission. Game kept my progress of the mission but I cannot resume it or restart it. Please make it possible to restart missions so that we can at least start them over when this happens.

Pretty sure I was around 19667 last night and I got bumped down 30ish points at least

As far as the client freezing at the end of the prologue goes…I kind of had the same thing. The client stopped responding for a while, but after a few minutes it resumed and everything was fine. It might just be a matter of being patient with it? Unless it crashed completely instead of just going to (not responding), in which case…I dunno.

Saying that as a temporary way to progress until it get patched, by the way. It still needs to be patched though.

Have the exact same Problem. Hope this gets fixed fast so everyone expieriencing this Bug can advance in the Story.

Same issue here. Paid $100 for something that I can’t even play! What a great use of my time and money.

I need to complete Torn From the Sky to enter Verdant Brink. I completed Torn From The Sky with the reward and left the instance. Patch immediately kick me out the game for patching. After patching the game would not allow me to enter Verdant Brink.

Update: Solution and Diagnosis of the above problem – after completing Torn From The Sky the new patch make the player character spawn and re-spawn with in the instance when logging off and logging in. Because of that the player character can not enter Verdant Brink. The solution is to way point out of the instance and in to normal play. Now in normal play player character can enter Verdant Brink as expected.

After completing the first quest in Verdant Brink the game shut down to install another patch. When I logged back on I was back in The Silverwastes and now I can’t enter Verdant Brink anymore, as the only way to enter was by starting a quest I already completed….

First Gw2 HoT story mode quest is bugged, i got to the point where u need to rally then game crashed, cannot re enter instance….have tried entering/leaving map & Exiting and resuming story.

I can confirm this issue aswell, only 2 Pact soldiers that I could rescue the other one is missing!

I’m also having this issue. I left the prologue to help my guild achieve our first mission and when I returned I was unable to re enter my instance and am stuck. I have tried restarting the chapter whilst in and out of Silverwastes; piggy backing off of a party member’s progress; restarting GW2 completely. All to no avail.

I cannot enter Maguuma and so I’m unable to help my close-knit guild take our Guild Hall.

[Fractal Master] cant get the achievement too, :’(

Hope we can get a compensation for this, i use like all my Pristins fractal Relics.

Calm down. You will be able to play it. That bug is annoying, yes, but it will get fixed soon. I am sure.

Started playing HOT today completed the first two chapters of the prologue then the game decided to restart itself and i am stuck inside the first instance. send help. it says return to the jungle. but i never got a chance to go into the jungle after you see rytlock for the first time. i have no idea how to fix this.

Can we have any response to the Prologue-Bug-Issue and when it will be fixed?

Im also getting this issue with Charr Revenant.

I just used a ‘teleport to friend’ item to WP myself into VB. GREAT SUCCESS! I now have a waypoint I am able to travel to.

That’s a good idea specialk. It doesn’t do anything to fix the story progress though, which for me personally is a huge deal.

Had acheived chest of loyalty from night before and had selected 20 laurels. This chest does not appear on any character this am and the laurels seem missing.

Yep, just tried it three times, including after the new build was released. The mission is still bugged for me :[

EDIT: For context, the Pact Assaulted mission is bugged. Only two of the three soldier pods will spawn, making it impossible to complete.

Correct, which is a shame. I also am unable to unlock masteries since they unlock after the prologue.

Unable to get back into the Prologue after the game froze right at the end.

I am completely stuck and unable to play the expansion, access masteries or do pretty much anything of significance now.

Please fix or at least reset my god kitten story progress. I’ve tried starting other stories, swapping it, changing characters, “restarting”

Nothing.

It just puts me RIGHT back at “Gather at the rally point leading into the Maguuma jungle.”

I am also experiencing this bug, it has ruined my day tbh.

Seems as though it will fix if you teleport to a waypoint

I also have the same issue… I have tried to play this mission 3 times.

Please please please fix this. It’s basically stopping me from playing HoT completely.

I am currently unable to complete the prolugue mission. At the last rally point before the portal to verdant brink (after the escort and talking to all the LS npcs), I approach the green star. At that point the UI hides as if starting with a cut scene but instead the game becomes unresponsive. The standard anet crash UI does not appear

got the same Problem :-( 3 times and it didnt work

Tried quitting the mission, finishing a different mission and restarting, and partying with someone who hadn’t done it yet. Nothing.

Not really a bug but the unlock for the Mist Champion Reward Tracks wasn’t intuitive at all. Can there be at least a tooltip when you highlight over the track saying how to unlock it?

Eg: “To unlock the Mist Champion Nika Reward Track go to your PvP Build panel and purchase Nika from your Mist Champions tab”

Same issue. I did the first Verdant Brink mission where you rescue the captives with Laranthir and fight off the attack with Rytlock, but exiting the instance jumped me back to the Silverwastes instead of Verdant Brink. The gate to Verdant Brink won’t work for me now, and there’s no way of earning mastery points or progressing outside it.

Same problem here, cannot enter verdant brink or continue/repeat previous story mission to gain access.

I have diagnosed the problem and found a solution. Look up my original post again.

I actually think I also lost around 20-30. But can’t be 100% sure.

Ah great, I’ve just ran into the same bug. Also stuck on 2/3 soldiers rescued.

Edit: My post was merged into this thread with no context, so the bug I’m talking about is for the Living Story mission ‘Pact Assaulted’, unable to complete it as the 3rd NPC to rescue does not spawn. Pretty annoying as I really wanted to finish off the LS before starting with HoT.

I crashed during prologue mission and now I’cant finish it either get into maguuma. Please fix it quick beacuse I’m wasting time at the moment as I can’t get into that map.
