Issue Reports: Heart of Thorns [Merged]
The SCAR Bivouac event chain is bugged in Tangled Deaths, once the cannon is situated on the hill the “fires set” bar never increases and the NPC is constantly trying to repair the cannon even while the cannon is at full health. Letting mobs break the cannon and waiting for it to be fully repair does not fix it either.
i just completed 2 map 100% Verdant Brink map completion and Auric Basin 100% completion and NO REWARD !!.. can u please fix this issue it been 1 week and nothing happen .. so dose that mean no reward anymore or what ?
some people say if u have 100% map completion in triya u wont get in hot map, but if u dont have map completion u going to get it .. srsly no comment :/
sunrise 1 collection Zephyrite Liberator is bugged i complete the event but am not awarded the collection item..
guild missions are borked as well
lornars rush completed with 15 people all went through the poles some people took a min to change out of their forms and some people that got out of their form still didnt count to the 15 people completed thus failing the mission.
same with the devourer rush in diessa
and with the stronghold (pvp missions we got credit where both our teams failed to win) + we where making 3 teams at the same team 2 of the people making those teams couldnt get back in 1 for 1 min and the other for 5 min (logged after)
We authorized an upgrade in our guild hall a few minutes ago; now our previously available Mine NPCs are stuck inside the wall, and the Mine itself is hidden as if we had never opened it at all. This is going to severely hinder us, as we need to upgrade the Mine itself soon.
Elementalist Specialization Collection: The North Wind
It looks like it may be broken. I have two Machined Warhorns that are needed to complete my collection; however one of them states, “Hint: Completely unlock the elite specialization”. I have done this, but I believe it should not be a machined warhorn but instead the shoulders, Tempest Loop. Thanks!

I don’t get experience from kills even if I kill them almost completely by myself.
People with 100% map completion for Tyria zones are not getting rewards for completing expansion maps. Notice the missing Necromancer’s Cache from map completion in the weapon collection, even though I have completed 2.
Bug: Hearts and Minds instance.
This made me very sad. ;/
Happened after I died to floor being covered in aoe and the air thingys wouldn’t lift me up. Was impossible to continue the instance and the fight was so long I was disheartened from trying again.

Nuhoch Stealth Mastery does not work for Itzel Bladedancers, it does however work for Itzel Shadowleapers.
Bad skill lag happening on the Verdant Brink map for about the last hour. Skills taking 2-3 times as long to cast and elite specialization skills may or may not work at all, it is coming in waves. Also, skills that utilize ground targeting are almost not castable at all.

I’m fed up of doing the Mordremoth fight. It’s buggy as hell! How am i supposed to activate a portal outside of the fight stage without dying?
What makes matters worse is when you die, you have to start the whole mordremoth fight over again.
I don’t have time for that!
My guild (I don’t know about anyone else) is experiencing problems with characters logged into Verdant Brink. When we try to log in our client wont connect stating connection error. This happened to all of us.
My 2h with Hearts and Minds…
Braham Mind Fight:
-After killing the pet the boss didnt do anything at all and it was a free kill… it just took a long time since he has ALOT of hp.
Mordremoth Fight:
- Ground under rifts not respawning on retry.
- Ground under rifts falling even during first phase before they should
- Mordremoth not actually attacking until first summon phase. (yay a good bug for me!)
- Jory and Rok and Canach teleporting randomly.
- Canach not being stunned when the rift portal opens to Interact and continues to attack but is 100% immune. (makes channeling impossible without some sort of summons).
- Brahams shield not working for me when standing in it
- Brahams air gusts not working at beginning of Mordremoths large aoe
- Mordremoth not throwing rocks during flight phase 1 some attempts.
- Air gusts not pushing you back into the air and you just slowely fall the ground unable to be send back up.
- After being hit by a rock the air gusts do not sometimes work.
This is as far as i got, ~50% hp down so i have no idea what is waiting for me if i managed to push past that..
Please Anet.. i have been reading reports of some of these bugs from more than 5 days ago.. this reminds me of the fact that the wrong item for Twilight I is still dropping after a week?
I think ill wait a bit before i can finish this story but with this many bugs in one elaborate fight and in the main story to boot really gives me alot of worries for the future of raid fights.
Seem to be having a bug with HPs where some of them show up as complete on the map for me and count toward map completion, and others don’t. I’ve been doing them on a number of alts, so maybe that has something to do with it?
Currently, on my warrior, the HP straight east of Faren Flyer’s says I’ve already got it when I interact with it, but it shows up with the incomplete icon on the map and I only have 10/11 HP in the map. I count 10 that are showing up as complete. The East of Faren Flyer’s is not.
It does show as complete if I’m standing right next to it, but doesn’t appear to be counting toward map completion.
Also, this one is showing up on my map as being in slightly different a place than it actually is. When I’m standing directly on top of it, the mini-map says I’m 957 away. I’m guessing this has something to do with the slanted nature of the busted up air structure that houses it.
Every since hot came live I can not play the game. Seems everytime i get to a portal or die and have to pick a warp point . My systems freezes the screen just goes black and I have to do a hard reboot. Which is killing my computer. I have window 7 running 64 bit . Never had problems before. Even sometimes getting on the game will give me the black screen of death . why am I now having all these problems.
PvE location set to Prologue: Rally to Maguma after finishing Torn from the Sky and going direct to WvW from within the TftS instance.
Broken as can’t get to Verdant Brink from P:RtM instance (presumably due to TftS being finished).
Establishing a Foothold showing as current story, but gate from P:rtM instance is closed and Maguma’s Breath WP not showing so can’t get to Verdant Brink (have to WP out and try again)

My guardian Character has 100% map completion For:
Verdant Brink
Auric basin
Tangled depths
But has not received any rewards whatsoever.
I have finished Map completion on my necromancer for
Verdant Brink and Auric basin and was awarded map completion rewards like any other map completion on that character.
What’s the Deal? I am unable to finish specialization collections because of this.
my Guardian and other characters have 100% Central Tyria map completion, where my necromancer does not. This seems to be a trend with other players as well. please fix this it has been a week since launch and I feel that I should just stop playing altogether until this is fixed.

The Specialization Repair NPC that was added to the Heart of the Mists was removed before I could interact with him. My Mistward collections are still bugged
I am so mad right now I could spit flax seeds!!! The achievement: Flights of Fancy for the Mordremoth fight is BROKEN, BROKEN, BROKEN I did this thing 19 times today ( And that’s no BS!! ). I’m done. I have had enough. I figured maybe I missed something during the first 10 or so times I did this event today. And this last time I know for a FACT I missed absolutely nothing and did it perfectly. So, this needs to be fixed. It’s the last achievement I need for the entire story and I’m done. So lets get’r fixed so I can go and do other things.
The Mistward equipment don’t show up in the bank wardrobe unless you unlock them.
I don’t know if this is intended but this gives me no way to preview it before deciding to spend time getting the equipment.
Probably something not high priority but should be addressed unless not being able to preview the equipment is intended.

100% Verdant Brink... no map completion reward.

This happened to our guild as well and I think it may be related to paying influence to speed up production.
I entered in a bug report but figured I’d post here as well.
Before reset (around 6pm est) our guild leader spent 200k influence to speed up our mining production for the next 36 hours. When she logged off we still had about 1 mil influence left. Shortly after reset an officer noticed that we only had 29k influence left. In the process of trying to figure out what we could have spent the influence on I took my character over to the mine to check out the vendor. When I got there however I was unable to enter due to there being a large invisible wall in the way. Couldn’t find a way around above either. So we had everyone leave the instance to reset it. This worked to open up the mine again but we still were missing the influence. All the other officers assure me that they didn’t spend the influence on anything else in that time. I hope its able to be resolved and we get our influence back but also I’d love some sort of log to be able to view guild expenditures.

Ever since HoT started,game keeps crashing every 15 minutes or so.
At first,I thought it was cause of some damage to the dat file.Reinstalled the game.Nothing changed.
After reading your text about alleged win 32bit memory issues,did everything you wrote.
Still the same.Crashing,crashing,crashing.
My configuration exceeds the minimum you say that is required to play.
WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO GET THE GAME IN ORDER????

Canopy over Noble Crash Site Hero Challenge is bugged for me. On my map it says it’s incomplete (as it says ‘earn 10 hero points’), but when I’m actually there, it says I’ve gained all I can from it.

The same happened in my case too.I also did not get any retroactive rewards for 100% Southsun Cove, Dry Top, or Silverwastes, if there are any.
I just found out that #6 and #11 were swapped around, but for some reason #6 was showing up as incomplete for me, so I tried doing #11 and it seemed to resolve the problem. Still needs fixing on Anet’s part though
So if #6 hero challenge (Pact Airship Wreckage) is bugged for anyone else and it’s showing up as incomplete on the map, but complete when you attempt to commune with it, you need to do #11 hero challenge – below is a guide from Dulfy as to how you do #11:
This is a bug in the Act 1 of HoT: “The Jungle Provides”. Opted for the attacking path with Tizlek.
Killed everything on map, but the quest is stuck as shown in the screenshot.
There is no last wave. Disappointed!

Portal to a friend is not workig correctly. I placed a bug report – would not take me from Divinity’s reach to Dragon stand.
i just did map completion in verdant brink but i got no reward
THE HEARTS AND MINDS MISSION IS IS GLITCHING OUT WHEN MORDRAMOTH GETS TO 10% LIFE, THE RIFT WILL DISAPEAR WHEN MORDRAMOTH GETS DOWN TO 10% HEALTH AND THEN THERE IS ABSOLUTLY NO WAY TO KILL HIM AND FINISH THE QUEST. THIS IS CATASTRPHIC ISSUE BLOCKING PROGRESS AND QUEST COMPLEATION. THIS ISSUE HAPPENED TWICE IN A ROW, IT IS REPEATING. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED AND RESOLVED A.S.A.P. THIS IS A TOP PRIORITY BUG.
So i recently got 2 achievements Crime and Punishment for the human story and Branching out for the sylvari story if i click on them it says they give a mastery point but when i completed them i did not receive a mastery point for either of them. Not really a big deal for me i guess as long as i can still get enough points for all the masteries but i think it should be fixed fairly soon.

Achievements do not activate, specifically these two:
- Peer Review : The page at the bottom of the steps is not interactable.
- My Friends, The Smiths : Beigarth is not there to be resurrected, consequently none of the ordnance masters are there.
This makes the Heart of Thorns: Act 1 achievements not able to be completed.
Another thing i noticed just now is that in torn from the sky the first time i played it i chose larinthir’s plan to save the prisoners but did not get the achievement for it i just replayed the mission now and was able to get the achievement but was rather annoyed i didn’t get it the first time.
The Mordremoth fight is unplayable, or it needs the participants to be extremely lucky with the code. All it takes is one rift to spawn in mid-air outside the field of battle, and the mission becomes impossible to finish without resetting the fight. Please fix this.
Minor placement issue with the Aurillium node in at least the Divinity’s Reach Home Instance; It overlaps with the Mithril node, should you have this as well and could use a different location perhaps. It also could use a slight model change from looking like carbon copy of the Gold node, even though the textures are fine looking the same.

Just after fighting and defeating the “corrupted” sylvari, on his right, there is the hill where the mission marker is, but when I reach there, nothing happens. I tried everything, interacted with the destroyed golem etc. but I cannot get pass that quest, nothing is happening on the mission marker so I am stuck there now. By the way, I used the /stuck command so maybe you received the coordinates etc.

14. Sign Cutting – not working
After all 9 mini marks… nothing happening
1. VB map completion didn’t get any reward
2. HoT story achievment – Chak Killer (Master) : didn’t get the achievment even though i already killed all Chak in the pit. But i still could hear the voice of Chak squeaking.
We were fighting Mordremoth and got him done to Zero HP. He would not die and we could not complete this mission. Also I don’t know if this is a bug, but why does it send you away from battle when you die and won’t let you back in the fight? It doesn’t let your party member bring you back.
I have just completed Verdant Brink on my Guardian, who has 100% core Tyria completion, and did not receive the reward.
Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

2 bugs found on Tangled Depths event:
1) STAR npc Elizia will not move to the hive after the Champion Chak from the Chak assault has been defeated and the event completed. She just sat by the fireplace.
2) Golems in Rata Novus will not power up, the bar looks to be full at the start of the event.

Probably been mentioned a thousand times already in this thread, but nothing is been done about it, so PLEASE FIX Modniir Ulgoth so we can move ahead in our Twilight Collection 1!
When playing story Heart and Mind (16), the bosses aren’t immune to conditions so there is a possibility to kill them before activating the rift. I have done it twice already.
