Completed prologue for HoT Story, instance ended with me in silverwaste, story wont progress, no option to replay or enter instance again. No access to HoT.

In HoT story step 13 “Buried Insight”, Taimi is not moving during “Follow Taimi to the draw of ley energy.”

After trying to talk to her, run away and back again, etc. I tried moving ahead to see if she would catch up, but nothing happens.

I have the same issue as many others. Right at launch while I was still downloading but “ready to play” I entered the game and went to do the story missions to unlock masteries. I got the last task of Prologue: Rally to Magumma where you are to portal to Verdant Brink and meet your allies there, but the cut scene never loaded and crashed my game. It did that 5 times before I decided to way point out of the instance and now I am stuck in Silverwastes with no way back into the prologue.

I can’t progress the story or reset it as “quit this episode” does nothing…you have to continue from the last task which is inside the Rally to Maguuma mission that I can’t get in now.

Fractal collection bugged to me, and I i cant go in verdant brink: when i was in the prologue istance, I went to LA, then i come back to SW, but i cant go trhough the portal or re-enter the prologue

Every time I try to do this mission, I get to the point shown in the picture where I have to free three pact soldiers, however there are only two pact soldiers to be freed.

Run all up and down the area, checked every corner, fought mordrem for 20+ minutes, nothing continues the mission, stuck at “Pact Soldiers Rescued: 2/3”

Can’t wield the new spec weapons on both characters (guardian and thief) that had enough hero points for activation.
Got weapons got achievement, can’t use the weapon. Both cases I made sure to be in PvE maps, still.

I can’t even log in, to the game, I get a crashreport in w10, and got like 4 sms login things, but cant update, cant login, it just crashes, even when I try and run gw2 as administrator

Ya I messed up and started playing before it fully downloaded. There shouldn’t be an option to play it before it’s downloaded it it’s going to break your game.

Yet I started playing only after the expansion had fully downloaded… So that isn’t the issue at all, as I am stuck in the prologue too.

Not as of now, but you aren’t the only one by a longshot, tons of players (me included) are having similar problems either with it crashing, or outright being impossible to complete, the dev’s are aware and are working on a fix…though our patience is starting to wear down a little despite that reassurance, and before anyone suggests a fix, trust me, we’ve tried them all, none of them worked

You will need to activate your new Trait line. “H” menu, Build Tab then change one of your specializations to you new one. Then you can use your new weapon.

Yep we sure have. I’m just waiting for the Arenanet gods now to fix it. Sucks, but what can we do? Still love the game. I wouldn’t want to have the job of fixing it and all the pressure. Lol

Map reward chest in Verdant Brink is causing a crash to the desktop when I try to open it, I dont know what the chest is for I just know its green, and bouncing above my minimap.

I am stuck in the prologue. It says return to the jungle to complete gliding mastery, but I am stuck in silverwastes with no way to progress

where it seems like a cutscene starts … but just complete freeze and have to use taskmanager to end gw2

i didnt patch 100% before trying this though
tried 1x at 30% when i was just able to get into the game
tried 1x at ~65%
will now wait for 100% and then try again and tell here if it worked then

i patched to 100% some hours ago and it immediatly worked then without a problem

Mac client cannot use the guild initiative window at all. You cannot move items over to contribute in the window (have to drag from inventory) and the confirm button doesn’t work at all.

I almost think that the dev’s posting back explaining how they let such mac bug through must also be connected to this dead confirm button. Sigh

Before the update I was getting between 50-80 fps on fairly high settings. Now I struggle to get 20 (on average 5-10) on the lowest possible settings. Rendering the game nearly unplayable.

It’s Ground Prol"Hog" day!

I thought the Experience bar on the Mastery Rank set (bottom) would increase when I filled the bar. At Mastery Rank 1 (while training bouncing mushrooms), I hit 508,000/508,000 experience and it told me I had a point to spend. Went to spend point, Mastery training shows I have 0 spendable points. I think “Well, maybe it just needs to reset the bar and the code goofed a bit.” So I select another one (exalted training) and bar resets to Mastery Rank 1 3,820/508,000. I still have no points.

Do I not get any mastery points for ranking up? Do I not rank up after I get rank 1? I’m so confused =( Also how do I get vista at “Wreck of the Lethal Vantage”? Just south a bit from initial entrance to map. Thanks in advance for any help or whatnot. I’m just so confused and I want to play the map =/

Edit: The Bouncing Mushroom achieve in the Hero Panel shows the training to be 100% complete. Can’t unlock it. Still have 0 points. Super confused.

Not sure if it’s been posted, but I was in PvP unlocking my elite spec and didn’t get any of the weapon rewards for doing so. Did it on my thief.

i cat enter verdant brink from the silver wastes even thought ive been in there before and i just get teleported out from there when i exited the game

There is already a trigger/prompt to put you in the prologue so I don’t see how that can’t just be placed there permanently??? It’s been 12 hours anet. Fix this.

I kind of just randomly crash. I’ve noticed it happened more frequently in LA when I open a window.

Same problem. I left the instance because I was sick of gw crashing and now it doesnt show a star anywhere to rejoin the instance

Like said before, cutsence still broke

So my launcher isn’t just randomly stopping when it’s downloading. If there is a new patch it will download just to the point where it’s playable then it will go for 15 seconds or so then stop. I can’t actually play or anything and I don’t get any errors it just stops. Once again I’ve tried the repair and everything except a fresh install which I’d really rather not do unless it’s going to absolutely fix it.

Its because it isnt about the crash, it is about if u leave the Instance u cant reenter it.

Orangensaft doesnt left the instance, so he could proceed as soon as he loaded the cutscene, others left the instance for some reason and are stucked now.

I usually don’t rant but seeing (and hearing) all my guild having fun in the jungle just makes me sad and angry and frustrated so if someone from anet can at least say that you are working on this fix I think everybody would be grateful.

I don’t have the XP but it has caused glitches in SW. Under Fort Red there is an invisible wall where you cannot reach boss. In the desert the invisible wall turns into a mountain you can climb and dance in space. For this 2nd glitch I took a picture so you can see the map position. It was above a chest.

My game crashed when I reached the end of the instance, then when I re-entered I had the wonderful pleasure of an impossible to complete mission…tried another character, crash, reboot impossible to complete

Got this error after we claimed our guild hall and one person left.

Unfortunately the latest patch hasn’t fixed this issue either. There’s loads of people on map chat trying to figure out what’s going on too :/

So I was just meeting Rytlock, and a patch comes down. I go to exit the instance, it boots me off instantly. I patch and everything’s okay. Then I log back into my thief and I’m trapped in the first instance of the Prologue when I’m on the third. I cannot leave the instance, switch the instance or go back to the jungle through the portal. So… Essentially my thief is soft-locked right now.

Get this error when I try to use waypoint in guild hall.

I’ve found a graphical error, mechanical gameplay issues, and environment mechanics issues.

Graphical Error:
- as pictured below, the egg backpack has lingered after leaving the story instance, Prized Possession. I don’t know if the developers meant for this to happen or not, but I kind of like being able to see my chosen back piece when I leave a story instance.

Mechanical Gameplay Issues:
- multiple HoT mobs are not labeled as immune to immobilize, but can’t be immobilized, crippled, etc. Mushroom Chargers are a prime example.

Environmental Mechanics Issues:
- the guild halls are new and I enjoyed the even in helping TTS claim one for one of their multiple guilds, but the waypoints are not working. I noticed this is the Hollow. This has been mentioned previously, but just letting you know it is both guild halls doing this.

My Guardian can not complete the Prolouge to enter VB map so can not continue story.

Game crashed on the cutscene at the end of SW and I am not able to get back into the instance

I too am stuck in the prologue. Would be great if you could actually completely quit out of it, pretty sure that might fix it. Unfortunately you can only put it on hold so you are still stuck with the same issue.

In addition the expansion (didn’t notice it on the first few builds, only started noticing after 19:00 UTC orso) is constantly crashing. It seems to only happen with a lot of people around. So world bosses (missed out on Karka Queen credit, also missed out on the Taidha Covington chest even though I got the loot from her corpse) but also started getting it in Lion’s Arch/Silverwastes as well now. Up to the point that the game is completely unplayable. The message when it kicks me out is lost connection but the game instantly crashes after returning to character select.
I’ve checked and it isn’t my internet disconnecting so it’s an issue with the game.
Had no issues before today.

I have not gotten the unique staff for druid either. I leveled my ranger’s specialization in Heart of the Mists and I didn’t receive a staff.

I tried to do the prologue while installing the game but had to stop and when I came back I wasn’t able to do the final part before the portal…there is no star and the portal is unusable…I had to do the Teleport to Friend to bypass the portal…do I need to have the story reset or is it a bug? Thank you…love HoT.

Welcome to the “You got screwed over by a bug” club! Tea? Cookies? Yeah…we’ve been waiting for them to fix this since launch…

I just finished Prisoners of the Dragon story twice in a row, both times my game freezes at the part where I free Eir/Faolain. At least when I kill the cell they are in the game just freezes.

I cant access any expansion content, I get told to upgrade to heart of thorns, but I bought the expansion weeks ago.
