If you go out the way you came in, instead of turning right as you come out of the cave, then when you get to the bottom of the cliff where they are all standing, Taimi ports up to them. You then walk back around the way you should have to start with, and they just ignore you, no one reacts to you arriving at the quest marker. You have to start over.

Hi!

Im using the Mac client.

It keeps crashing on me especially when i go to a populated area like Lion’s arch. Even when I have my model limit set to the lowest.

It used to crash alot when Silverwastes was released but it didn’t crash as much a few months after. Now that HoT is out I am crashing a lot more so than previously.

Pretty sure its a mac issue as my friends on their windows os don’t experience the crashing like i do.

It is very frustrating cos I bought this game cos i was told it was playable on mac but my game crashes every 15min especially in the middle of world events and When I come back online I am on a different megaserver and out of the event.

Im using a :
Mac Book Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)
OSX Yosemite version 10.10.5

Processor : 2 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory : 8GB 1600 MHZ DDR3
Graphics : Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

OMG I CANT DO HALLOWEEN EVENTS COS I KEEP CRASHIIINGGG

I’m doing the living story Prized Possessions in Auric Basin. I have the bundle equipped, but the keys are not responding. I cannot use #3 (or any of them) to escape the big corrupted enemy in the cave. I thought it might be lag, but it doesn’t feel like that. Usually when that happens the key keeps pulsing til it processes, but here it’s just quickly blacked out then back to normal.

Became invincible in Auric Basin… I think it had to do with fighting the legendary that downs you then kill you. I’m thinking it bugs if he gets killed before he gets the chance to finish you off.

Condis and fall damage can still hurt you though, and I died to the poisoned hero point, and was no longer invincible. Was fun while it lasted!

After buying “Notarized Scroll of Heroics” (The 1 Hero Point from Tyria version) I can refund it for bonus “Badges of Honor”

Since I have all Hero Points unlocked in Tyria, consuming the “Notarized Scroll of Heroics” would normally refund the purchase price back. However it refunds 10 badges instead of the 5 spent on obtaining said scroll.

As an aside, hopefully I don’t get banned for “exploiting” in the process of taking photographic evidence.

Been waiting whole day waiting for patch to completely install. Just finished 10 minutes ago and jumped into game on character in Lion’s Arch. Was taken aback by the spooky load screen but never got to see what was new because it kicked me to desktop asking me to allow changes and now I’m BACK to downloading…something?

Have not yet purchased expansion but I figure the massive patch anyway is to bring everyone in line with the core changes and the bugfixes as they are being found but ugh.

I want to assign the same key to both these functions…

- show enemy names
- show ally names

…but am unable to, because they would overwrite each other. Please prevent the overwrite for this.

my main cant get into the new content because of this bug that you did not fix yet and now i have to give up on it what good is there to pay so much for this game to not enjoy what you like please fix it…..

Got a reward chest in Verdant Brink during events. Now the game crashes every time I try to open it.

‘Speak to Scout Acan’….he recognised me when i flew in but i couldn’t speak to him even though he had the marker over him. I needed to guest to another server to do it.

Don’t know if its a bug exactly but I’m trying to download the latest patch and it says the download speed is 200-300KB/sec which isn;t that fast but should be fast enough to download a patch in reasonable time. Well for 10 mins its been sitting at 0%, 7570 files remaining and the amount downloaded is barely climbing. It says I can start playing but when I try to get into the HOT area it hangs without any message. You need to improve your streaming technology and possibly make sure the download info is being reported correctly.

And now I miss opening the guild hall with my guild because of your downloader.

Hello, I’m doing the Dusk Collection now, and I’m stuck at Modnir Collectible.. after I finish the Event an Overlord Ruin item drops, but it does not add to the collection since in the collection it says i need Modnir Ruin. Any information on this one? I would really like to finish my collection and it’s the 3rd time I get the same thing

“A disk-i/o error has occurred! Guild Wars 2 will now terminate.”. I was able to play the game yesterday, but now i can’t download the new files. It shows me this error over and over again.

Note:
Are you sure the disk is not full or otherwise damaged?
This sounds like a hardware fault, or some other critical issue preventing the game from writing or reading to the hard drive.

I managed to download it once which took 11 hours, played briefly but didnt get to do anything, no personal story and didnt get to go to the new maps or wvw. Then there was a notice of an update. I closed the game to update and have been trying to download that update for around nine and a half hours. It is stuck at 2%. I have just restarted it and its at 1KB per sec. This is brilliant. I have never had any trouble downloading any GW stuff before. So apparently from reading these forums it seems that everyone else is at least playing even with problems.. seems like I am the only person in the world who cant play GW2. Wonderful!!

When in “action camera” mode, we’re unable to RIGHTCLICK to interact. Also, we’re unable to CTRL+LEFTCLICK to call target. These are major problems. Please fix!

And i have another one, my Character Kala Kaladhar is stuck in PvE now, as i can’t talk to Scout Acan in any way.. hes marked, the gliding quest did work, but now i’am standing infront of him and can’t speak.

Tried to drop the Quest, relogged, left area etc. but nothing worked. This is Blocking my Story progress, so please fix this.. and i didn’t hear anything on that Armor bug with the revenant, if you see this bug as desgin, i demand my birthday scroll and the 60 tomes back so i can delete him and remake him with the archievments unlocking (Hopefully)

I really wonder for what we had all those random event Beta tests, when the actual Stoty Quests seem to be bugged out like Hell.. kinda sad.

Maybe next expansion shoud be a stand alone like NF, Factions and EOTN.. never had any trouble with a any of them :P

I can’t use my elite specialization skills, items, or traits. I’ve spent Hero Points on them, and I got an shield for my mesmer, but it keeps saying “weapon type unusable by your profession”.
The Chronomancer specialization should be seen there, but only the 5 standard ones are.

I have the exact same problem with my main character… Still stuck in SW with no way to finish the story – Prologue: Rally to Maguuma, even tho ANet tells us they already fixed it… 24hours+ have passed since the release. Would b great to gain access to the content we paid for… Sigh…

I can’t use my elite specialization skills, items, or traits. I’ve spent Hero Points on them, and I got an shield for my mesmer, but it keeps saying “weapon type unusable by your profession”.
The Chronomancer specialization should be seen there, but only the 5 standard ones are.

Elite specs can only be placed in the bottom slot.

I still can ’t complete the Prologue: Rally To Maguuma. After talking with Taimi, the game crashes.

I still can’t proceed my story quest. It doesn’t show me where to go and i can’t enter the new regions… And still no achievement + staff from Druid spec. This is kinda bumming me out and don’t feel like playing somehow. I just wish i could enjoy all the new content like most of the players can. I want something for my money.

I still have an issue with a chest that I cannot open. The chest got from The Forgotten City was removed/disappeared, but today I got another from Verdant Brink and it caused my game to crash.

Another issue Scout Acan won’t talk to anyone to progress personal story, confirmed through multiple players so it’s def an issue.

I have completed the Prologue, but I wasn’t ported to Verdant Brink, because the story-leader was out first and this notification blocked the buttons for porting to Verdant Brink. And because of this, I had to use a teleport to friend item (or had to replay this story part).
It would be nice, if this would not happen and the players are ported automatically to Verdant Brink and not back to the Prologue.

Legendary Juggernaut Collection Achievements:

New Statues in Memorial Quadrant in Black Citadel cannot be targetted for /ponder and reading the consol in front of them does not update the achievement.

Got green event chest from Auric Basin Meta event chain (Failed event). Unable to open. Every time I click the chest, the game immediately crashes. Already sent bug report.

Not sure if anyone reported this but going into the PvP lobby removes all bosters, even birthday boosters. I just lost 20 hours of boosting because of this so be careful.

This shouldn’t be happening in the lobby. Specially considering the birthday booster increases pvp reward track gain, makes no sense.

You have to glide near him for him to talk.

when i use my bristleback and use glide, my pet would switch. but when im using the other pet which is usually the brown bear, it doesnt switch to my bristleback after i use glide.
why is that?

When defending our lord in WvW we see his red aoe circles even though it’s our lord. (If it’s not a bug which i doubt at least change the colour to white)

I’ve downloaded a running total of 10+GB not sure of the actual size. With my limited internet 150-200kbps I’ve had to stop the download to take care of various things throughout the day. The first few hours from overnight got me about 70% done. From that point I’ve had to stop periodically, each time getting about 1GB done before stopping the download. However each time, despite downloading 1GB it remained at 0% and no file remaining changes either. This matter has become infuriating as i can’t play any new content nor go about my business elsewhere without stopping the download. It feels as though i’m getting nowhere with the download. I hope this was easy to understand. Thanks

I have been experiencing frequent crashes since the expansion launched in all areas of the game

In the legendary precursor crafting, first part of the collection for Dusk “Twilight 1: the experimental Nightsword”, Modniir Ulgoth does not drop his appropriate item “Modniir´s Ruin”, but “Overlord´s Defeat”, the item appropriate to the Harathi Overlord.
This blocks all progress on completing the collection.

Cannot talk to Scout Acan i have tried gliding and landed exactly next to him no result

I went to the auric basin portal and was ask to download the files, when i confirmed i was placed on the wrong side of the portal and outside of the verdant brink level.

Before the expansion was 11511 and achievement points and yesterday after the expansion was 11471. I wonder if it is a bug or if someone else has been removed achievement points.

Because of the overnight I lost 40 achievement points.

first of all if druid recharge wont back like it was . thats full of useless trait lines !!!

now lets move to[Verdant Etching] this trait should give seed of life on each GLYPH skills that we cast in celestial avatar mode ..and so far ONLY 2 SKILLS actualy works and not perffect ..

I’ve been kicked from the game by my computer for using up all my available memory. The first time (yesterday) I returned from the new area to Lion’s Arch to empty the inventory. The second time (a few moments ago) I was exploring around the first area.

My system has 6 GB of RAM.

The new Elite Specializations is not able to me in pvp , only appears for trainning in pve and wvw . I full download the game. Thanks for suport

Scout Acan in Verdant Brink is broken. I glided to him 3 times and the interact button did not come up. I cant continue my story

Here is something I saw in fractals today for the first time Dunno if this is common issue or not but figured I’d post here just in case (didn’t have the time to make an in-game report about it then).

Basically the drill in molten weapons facility fractal is no longer a solid object I was able to run through it multiple times.

When I finished downloading the expansion, I was excited to check out HoT’s features and my pre-purchase items. But I didn’t recieve the items when I logged into my account and played my character. I don’t know if this is happening to a large or small group of players, but I would like to know if anyone is having this problem on the forums. I did order HoT right before it stopped selling pre-purchase orders, but I did do it before. I heard that others were having this problem. I ordered it like 5 or 6 hours before it had launched, but it took me a while to figure out how to connect it to my account. When I had ordered it, it said pre-purchase order. I know ArenaNet is having trouble with all the bugs that are present since the release, I just hope it is fixed for me and other players.

just an update:2nd day of being unable to play HoT. the end of the prologue is still locking up the system. i can’t generate an in-game report on the lockup because it requires a forced power off of the computer to recover the system. this is also happening on my wife’s account(which is played on a different computer) is a fix for this coming? we spent 200$ on this.
