I had been having no issues until I tried story and an annoying bug made me waste coins with WP…

I and a friend went to start the HoT story and headed to Red Bastion and we entered the Prologue instance. At first we thought weird that an invite wasn’t sent when my friend entered first but after I entered I saw we both together. Then we followed stuff until the area after Amber Sandfall and my friend entered the instance and I got invited to it.

Then we both played Torn from the Sky together with it being my friend’s instance and then I accepted the progress, then we left the instance. However, my friend was put right at Verdant Brink entrance while I was put back at Red Bastion within Prologue instance, as if I had done nothing! Then I walked all my way back to past Amber Sandfall just to discover that I had no exit thing (that green star floating on ground) and the big portal to next map was blocked, with a huge prohibited sign! I even tried that /stuck command, but it just put me back at Red Bastion again. :S

I had no way out that instance other than waste coins by waypointing to one of the Silverwastes waypoints and I was “lucky” enough to choose a contested one, then I was sent to Camp Resolve Waypoint. And then I had to walk all my way past Amber Sandfall again to reach the portal to Verdant Brink, as I had no waypoint to that map yet -_-

Really really very annoying way to start…

missing one character slot.

When i purchased HoT Ultimate addition before the 23rd, I was told I would receive two character slots. I went ahead and purchased one additional character slot at the same time.

So far, I have received two character slots out of three. I did receive the 4,000 gems and have had fun so far with the new expansion but I would like to receive the one character slot that I should have.

In the HoT personaly story mission Buried Insight, I am having trouble with the NPCs getting stuck after fights. The first time, I had made it to the point where you kill the veteran bug blocking the asura gate, when nothing would progress the quest further whether walking through the gate (which did nothing), walking up to the npcs, or finding a pit to die from falling and respawn. The second time I tried, I got stuck at the third of the power nodes, with the Taimi not moving on after the wave of enemies was defeated.

Even though I’ve purchased HoT, the Mist Champions Gymm & Nika reward tracks are still locked for me.

If you click on the locked icon on the Champion select panel you get the option to use gold to unlock a progress track to unlock the Champion. Unintuitive, but I don’t think it is a bug.

Party members are no longer visible along the edges of the minimap.. This occurs regardless of minimap zoom level and makes it extremely irritating to try and locate teammates in the same zone when they are even a moderate distance away.

I was doing the story mode on my rev right at launch, with the game fully downloaded. I completed it and joined a friend for torn sky, but after completing it, it set me back to Rally to Maguuma with everything checked off. I can’t reenter the instance and I can’t progress on my story, nor can I get the rewards that are required to make the other specialization stuff.

This is day 3, and clearly I’m not alone since there are bunch of posts here. I don’t want to have to remake my rev since I use up a total makeover kit and dropped a bunch of gold on armor and weapons, and transmutations stones to get a look i wanted.

It wouldn’t even be so bad if there was basically any response acknowledging the issue or that it’s being worked on….

Multi-Guild Chat Glitch

I am in two guilds, I was talking in my /g2 and somebody asked me where something was. While in /g2 chat, I shift-clicked Lion’s Court POI to show them where Mad King Says occurs. After shift-clicking the map minimized and it put the link in my chat bar, which still said I was in G2, and once I hit enter it instead posted the link to my G1. I attempted multiple times to post the POI in my /g2 chat but it did not work, and every time it instead posts in /g1 chat, even though it says G2 and the proper tag.

Keep in mind, in both /g1 and /g2 chats I also asked if they saw me post the POI and only my g1 saw the POI being linked.

Pact Commander mastery’s autoloot ability crashes the game on activation 100% of the time. Luckily there’s an option to turn it off until it’s fixed.

Ok that worked. First mouse button didn’t do anything, had to use the second mouse button. Yep, that was unintuitive.

Found the last of Rox’s signs on Sign Cutting. Quest is hanging and won’t progress. Tried relogging, changing character, changing zone, and even changing from HoT story to LS2 and back or quitting Chapter 14 and restarting it have all failed to resolve it.

After the latest patch, I still need to train Itzel Poison Lore for story step 14. The patch notes said it was fixed, but apparently not for all players. I asked around in my guild, map chat and on Reddit and in each channel there quickly came responses that the patch didn’t work for everybody. Quitting and restarting doesn’t help. Neither does leaving the map and porting back.

Edit: a fix was found on Reddit: Quit Chapter 14, switch to 13, then Restart 14 and relog to fix.

I can confirm that this works 100%.

The final story instance “Hearts and Minds” has multiple bugs in it and some make it unable to progress.

  1. You can still die in the cutscenes to fields during the Caithe/Canach fights, making you restart the fight. Sometimes if you die at this point Caithe/Canach becomes invulnerable when you restart. You have to restart the instance after this
  2. If you die during certain parts of the Caithe fight the pale tree becomes invulnerable when you res and start the fight again. You have to restart the instance after this
  3. If you die during certain times in the Canach fight, Blighted Canach becomes invulnerable. You have to restart the instance after this
  4. If you deal damage too fast (?) during the Canach fight or break Blighted Canach before regular Canach is finished doing his shield animation and/or talking (? not sure which of these, both may have happened before the animation/talking was finished), regular Canach becomes stunned and does not give up his shield to continue the fight or continue his dialogue. Blighted Canach becomes invulnerable as well and if you restart he stays invulnerable. You have to restart the instance after this
  5. If you absorb Eir’s projectiles (swirling winds) the arrow stops but the fire trail continues the full distance
  6. Sometimes Eir’s break bar starts at 0 and regens, sometimes it starts at full
  7. During the Mordremoth fight if you die while fighting the Blighted Caithe and restart the fight Mordremoth begins with all his skills from the Caithe phase. It seems like if you die any time after Mordremoth acquires his new skills he starts with them when you restart. You have to restart the instance after this
  8. During the Mordremoth fight if you are in the shield you still take full damage. Happens in some fights and not others, and will be working during a fight’s first glider phase and then not working during the next glider phase.
  9. During the Mordremoth fight after dying and restarting the blighted Marjory/Rytlock teleport between 4 locations every few seconds if you stand near the reality rift.
  10. During the Mordremoth fight sometimes the updrafts don’t send you into the air
  11. If you die after Mordremoth phase 2 and restart the terrain is destroyed and you can’t reach the rift. You have to restart the instance after this since it never appears
  12. The terrain can also be restored after a few seconds but the rifts never appear and the dialogue never happens. Only one of the NPCs is visible on the stage
  13. You die and restart the Mordremoth fight and the terrain initially is destroyed where the rifts would be, but after a few seconds the terrain gets restored. The reality rift appears in the wrong place (on the border of the terrain area and the non destroyed vine area) and is interact-able from the beginning of the fight. None of the dialogue happens and Mordremoth gets his phase 2 abilities from the start. You have to restart the instance after this
  14. If you die and restart during any phase on the Mordremoth fight he throws boulders during the first gliding phase.
  15. If you die and restart on the Mordremoth fight he doesn’t destroy the first rift area before Caithe appears after he gets out of glider phase (where he throws boulders at you).
  16. During the blighted Canach fight, Canach becomes an enemy when you use the rift (may be intended?)
  17. NPCs are very selective about when they res the player character, may be intended. For example will res player and then phase will change and they will run away. Or they won’t res the player during the shield bubble phase
  18. NPCs sometimes don’t move towards the reality rift while you use it. They just repeat the pulling animation and eventually teleport into the rift if you continue using it
  19. NPCs read immune to the reality rift pull and aren’t dragged but then teleport into the rift
  20. Mordremoth reflects at random times for no apparent reason or animation
  21. If you glide for the beginning of the Mordremoth fight and then go into the shield and the shield protects you, Mordremoth will continue to throw boulders at you in the shield
  • An unrelated bug to that instance, the range finder is reading green but when you try to use the skill it will tell you out of range and turn red
  • Also unrelated, guild halls are creating a new instance every time a new guild member enters the hall and kicking everyone out into that new instance
  • While taking the guild hall when the leader interacted with the crystal it immediately kicked the entire guild out of the instance except for one random person (not the guild leader)
  • In the sign cutting story the signs were not interact-able and the story did not progress if you interact with the signs too fast, you have to restart the story step and relog

I submitted bug reports with screenshots for a few of these when they happened

In Hearts and Minds

After losing to Mordremoth the first time (during the second glider phase), it seems like all of his abilities becomes unlock. The first time I fought him, in Phase 1 he was only doing melee attacks and cone shockwaves. However after dying, he was using the vacuum ring, portal projectile, the slow detonation bomb, and a few other abilities. I also see him throwing rocks during the first glider phase (don’t know if this happens since i didn’t see it on my first try). Another thing I encounter during the gliding phase was the portal projectiles and the vacuum ring. The projectiles pelted while I was in the air and the ring pulled me into his aoe.

Unable to use Guild Hall GUIs

Computer Specs: MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite, Version 10,10,5

Issue: I am unable to use almost any GUI relating to Guild Halls. This specifically affects the Guild Hall upgrades panel, the Guild Treasury, and the Decoration panel (The one where you change what decoration you’re currently placing. Not the one in the guild storage panel). I am able to open the GUIs, but can’t interact with them in any way. I can’t select anything, scroll through lists, or deposit items into the Guild Treasury. This problem make me unable to progress any guild halls, wether it be though ordering upgrades or contributing materials.

Issue: I’m unable to complete the chapter. As I follow the path Rox left, I keep reaching clues that I can’t inspect, so it won’t progress to the next clue. It keeps bugging at different clues. I tried restarting the chapter, and when I restart it, it glitches further and tells me that I need to unlock Itzel Poison lore to continue, and won’t properly reset until I exit out of the game and restart.

*Edit: I had a friend log on to my account and they could complete this chapter for me without issues. But I tried at least 5 times.

Issue: I’m still having the requirement of “train itzel poison lore” as a requirement show up. I had reached this story step prior to the patch that is currently listing that in release notes as “removed”. I tried resetting it via restarting the story step, to no avail.

Edit: restarting story chapter 13, going to auric basin, then starting chapter 14 again and going back into tangled depths seems to solve this issue.

Had an odd graphics bug while playing the Prisoners of the Dragon mission. Upon engaging the midboss just after the section where you burn through the jungle tendrils, the colors turned all wrong. The UI remained normal, but the actual terrain and characters were all the wrong colors — it looked almost like a green filter overlaid on a photonegative. Furthermore, as I moved around and turned, occasionally a sharp edge would go across my screen and the colors would change, usually to a purple or back to green. The ground clutter also periodically changed, looking like clusters of sharp planes longer than the actual grass.

Initially I thought it might be some manner of psychedelic effect from the boss, but it clearly wasn’t the case after a minute or two. Following the fight, I tried to get a screenshot, but my game crashed out. (Not sure if that’s related or not — I’ve been getting crashes every hour or so, even with graphics settings minimized.) When I logged back in, the issue did not recur.

Using the Mac client, all graphics settings at their lowest except for detailed characters, which is at Low.

Action Camera Phase Traversal(Revanant Shiro Skill #9 ) Bug?

When using the Action Camera mode the skill Phase Traversal only Cast when the target is in range(Able to hit target) While in normal camera mode the skill still Cast even if it is too far away.(Won’t hit target)

I use Phase Traversal to travel around quickly. But for this I have to deactivate Action Camera to use the skill and reactivate when in range.

Is this intended or a bug?

Backpiece item reward from mission Prisoners of the Dragon is not upgrading in following story missions where you receive reward that is supposed to upgrade it. I tried this with item with unselected stats and selected stats and with Order of whisper and Vigil themed backpieces.
Please if you fix this make it unlock all skins retroactively.

I posted earlier about my client crashing (October 25, 2015 14:57).

Now I don’t even get an error message. The client just hangs and I have to kill it through the task manager. This happened two times now. Both as I was about to take a screenshot (pressed printscreen —> hang).

Miraculously I was able to re-log into the same map instance. Your brilliant event participation system informed me that I was no longer participating in the escort event I had been doing (Escort Arwyna to the Oger camp). So I ran to catch up, was able to, and followed Arwyna to the Oger camp. HOWEVER, since on the last few meters she does not encounter any enemies I could not re-gain event participation!

Do you even test your new features? Why give me a notification at all if I am unable to re-gain participation!?
This was not the only time that the event participation system kicked me from events without good reason. One other example: The pact soldiers in Verdant Brink you are supposed to escort to the camps multiple times just stopped moving, subsequently kicking ME for inactivity.

Please think more about your wonderful new features before you drop them into your game and cause frustration to your player base.

Undercroft keep can’t get supplies from the encampment camp because the dolly catches fire when next to the keep and dies. Not even escorting the dolly which gives the bubble buff helps, because those lava stacks ignore it.

Final story instance, Final Fight.

I’m having serious issues with the updraft things not pushing me into the air. They seem to work like 50/50 chance. Have died on this fight multiple times due to something I can’t control.

Never really had any issues with Bouncy Mushrooms or Glider registering in any other areas of the game.

Would appreciate if this is looked into.

Also the rifts seem to love to spawn in the air/off the map and make the fight impossible to complete as well.

Same issue. I’m tired of trying at this point. I’ve failed over 15 times because the dang glider absolutely refuses to work on the second glider phase. Also, the rocks appear to be homing missiles. Seriously need to emergency remove this phase of the fight until it can be properly fixed, I’m really not enjoying this bug 100% preventing my story progression.

High priority bug imo, please investigate as soon as possible

Story chapter 14 is ridiculously bugged. After several attempt of workaround finally managed to start without itzel mastery. Rocks activate with 50/50 chance, finding last one(seems walking to it helps), arrow only confuses you, points to nonsense, then i found it by accident, its again bugged, no interaction. Tried rerun all chapter 3x, walk to last rock, doesnt work, ppl stand there in row, kittening, theyre bugged too. Please, fix this.

That hearts and mind mission is super buggy, I have now spent over 2 hours trying to complete it. Every single time that portal I am supposed to click gets placed in the middle of the air on a side and cannot be touched because there is nothing to stand on. Also many attempts now I try to redo it while it’s partially done and get insta gibbed by the boss before I even load in. Also those rocks are heat seeking missles, there is no way to avoid them…only tank them and pray. The one time I got past that, good old portal was placed in the air again making it impossible to interact with.

Lastly, this is related to the vast amount of crashes that kicks me out and when I come in I am placed in empty map instead of the one I was in; I request, no infact I beg you to put in a grace timer of a few minutes so I can get back in. It’s annoying to spend over an hour, crash, then lose all that progress when I come back from the 100th OOM crash. If you are not going to look into that bug at all, at least put in a grace time so I can reenter the instance I was originally in please. Thanks. :S

Hi, not sure if it’s been posted about before and I’m pretty sure it’s not working as intended. But I’m finding on my Revenant (not sure about other classes), that a lot of my ground targetted abilities aren’t working properly up/downhill or on uneven terrain.

For example, auto attacks with Hammer will connect up or downhill, but the “2” ability very often wont. Nor will the “2” ability on Mace and “5” ability of Axe. They seem to dissapear into the ground a lot of the time, or simply just not do damage, even if an auto attack will, so it’s not a problem of line of sight or range.

Again, not sure if other classes with similar abilities are experiencing this or if it’s been reported yet, just wanted to let ya’ll know. Otherwise, loving it, thanks.

Did Megadestroyer for daily, got Gold medal for event and chest, but could not use Jar to capture Essence of Primordus inside, it said ‘You need to help slay the Megadestroyer in order to use this’.

To be fair, it is my 2nd jar, I’ve already captured essence yesterday but trashed it before I realized I needed to take it to Kessex Hills. Since jars can be crafted infintely the essence collecting should be too.

I have discovered a secret path that bugs out the chapter 6, “Prisoners of the Dragon”. Seeing as, when/if fixed, it could be a pretty cool secret path, I made a separate post for it. After recieving the backpack rewarded by the “Prisoner of the Dragon” history quest i deposited it in my bank. Than when i’ve completed the next chapter it didn’t get the upgrade that was meant for it.

I’m still not able to proceed with my story quest. Once I enter The Siverwastes it stops giving me directions and there’s no instance to enter… It has been like this since friday. I’d really like to play some HoT content by now. Please fix this!

So “The Way In” story mission is bugged. I can`t make any progress with Chak Enzyme but I have it in my inventory. I can talk to the Nuhoc and he gives me 2 Enzyme but still no progress. The shady looking Nuhoc that wants to sell me enzyme doesn`t even open any kind of window for me to buy the enzyme. I am stuck. Hope you can fix it soon.

There is definatly some sort of major performance issue causing crashes. I do not have the newest of computers, but prior to downloading Heart of Thorns I was able to play in cities full of people and in the Silverwastes, even if it was a little slow at times. Now I am getting constant crashes to desktop. I have one character in the Silverwastes and as soon as I log in I crash before I can even do anything. It seems that HoT is more processor hungry than the original game.
