Issues with character art, weapons, or armor?
Hello. I noticed problem with Human cultural armor set, Tier 3 on male models.
While in this armor, hands go right trough the leg plates. It looks pretty bad. I took few screen shots of it. It’s strange that this problem is not fixed this late since the launch.
Here, take a look.
Also, this armor went really far away from it’s original concept art. Leg plates are placed in a weird angle, making male human look like he have a large bottom.
I believe that simple rotation of these plates would fix both problems.
Hope it will get fixed in the near future, thanks for reviewing the issue.

Greetings
If someone had already post this issues, then I have missed it. Still my post can be reminder if someone did.
I have found two issues with light armor on my female character, they are:
1. Dry Bones Hood - when used they will add dry bones shoulders over your existing shoulder. Please separate the shoulders from hood, since i would like to use hood without the spiky shoulders.
2. Exalted Pants - for 2 years my character had been running around with this nasty bug (it looks like she didn’t pull her panties all the way up). When standing it looks normal, only when combat ready or gathering or any other movement.
Looking forward to fix of those

Hopefully this gets acknowledged, it’s one of my favorite items in the game.

So the day before the big patch I finally made my first legendary: Kraitkin!
And it turns out that—after I spent an inconceivable amount of time and money making a trident—Kraitkin renders completely wrong in my game. Not only does it look wrong in the preview screen (the only place I ever saw it in-game before making it), but it also looks incomplete in the actual game, like I’m missing a texture file. I’ve included screenshots of how it appears in my preview window, as well as how it looks in game.
I’ve tried setting the game to all varieties of graphics setting and repairing the client, with no improvement.
Hopefully this problem can be fixed. Kraitkin might be an underwater legendary, but it’s still a legendary. And mine currently looks like a piece of kitten.

I’ve had this problem since beta, and for the most part it didn’t bothered me till now that I’m trying to “perfect” my characters looks. Basically, the problem I have is that hair styles for Humans and Norn won’t render completely. The reason why it didn’t bother me before, it was because while in the open world or in armor/weapon preview windows, everything looks fine. However when I’m in character creation , using hair-style kit, using total makeover kit, and even in some personal story instance cut-scenes (the ones that just show up to 2 characters while they talk) the hair details simply won’t show. I mentioned this to my guildies the other day, and they had no idea what I was talking about, so I guess it’s either just me or very few people with this issue (sorry I did not read all of this thread to find out)
I have tried changing the screen size, and the video quality but nothing seems to work.
Before it didn’t bother me because if it’s a brand new character, you can always remake it and get a hair you like better, but if you are using one of the kits, and the hair doesn’t load the way you thought it would, you just lose all the gems you invested on the kit.
The attached picture is of a female human with a style where this issue is more prominent. It makes it so you can can barely tell that they are the styles are the same
I’d like to report a seam issue with the Norn cultural 3 heavy set aka Stag Armor as a Female Norn Guardian.
It’s hard to tell from the screen shots, but it’s right where the chest portion of the armor meets the leggings, specifically on the torso, you see a seam mismatch on the skin.

Sorry, I had made a separate thread for this and I guess I should have put it here. The right sided dagger corresponding to the character just looks like it’s out too far from the body and the angle looks awkward. On a positive note, I love the dagger skins! Thanks Anet!

There are severe problems with how this item sheathes. In its regular sheathed position, it clips quite noticeably into my characters rear, as seen here: http://i.imgur.com/njksvcv.jpg
However, things get much worse after you have drawn your weapons and then put them away again. Suddenly the focus has a completely different sheathed position that clips much worse, with half the item ending up inside your character model, see here: http://i.imgur.com/zpKEHlf.jpg
Unequipping and reequipping the item or zoning will reset it back to it’s normal sheathed position but nothing else I have tried does.

The outfit clipps horribly. While standing around normally, it slightly clips with my ears (short ears, so asura with longer ones should have much more problems with clipping) and the bands of the hairstyle (exclusive hairstyle from Makeover kit). When the character runs or changes into fighting-stance, the whole collar clips into the head.
I believe the clipping could be reduced by changing the angle of the collar a little bit.
Thanks for help.

A lot of the clipping is around the fans on the shoulders. Hair and longer ears (like shown in the screenshot) clip right through so much kitten taking half of my character’s ears. Granted, this particular changes slightly in combat due to the Asura’s ears going up, but that also produces other issues as it clips with the head. Making the fans smaller on the shoulder or angled differently (kinda like the fem Charr’s shoulder) would probably remedy this.
Thanks
Item: Gladiator Legplates (Crafted rare heavy armour)
Race: Norn (Presumably affects all races)
Sex: Female (Presumably affects box sexes)
Issue: The item has four distinct areas to be dyed, but only 3 dye slots. This means that the colour of the fur patch on the hips is tied to the colour of the armour’s undergarments. These two sections of armour are also different materials, meaning the colour used is often significantly different on the two areas.
Pictured: If I use the same white (mithril) dye as all other fur sections, then my character is forced into highly un-immersive (and somewhat low-resolution) white underwear. If I skin a fluorescent yellow animal and wear that, then my character seems to be wearing no underwear because what appears bright yellow on the fur is much darker on the material of the undergarments. The offending dye slot is also shown.

Gender: Male
Profession: Guardian
There is a severe clipping issue with the Carapace Chest plate for human males regarding the level at which the stowed weapon (in this case a greatsword) is placed upon the back. For the Carapace Chest piece, a stowed greatsword is placed very close to the body and clips inside the lower half of the back and into many leg pieces. Raising the stowed greatsword higher off the character model would resolve this.
If the names are important; I’m currently wearing:
- Wreath of Cooperation
- Fanatic’s Mantle
- Phalanx Warplate
- Pit Fighter’s Wristguards
- Body of Koda
- Paws of Koda
(I’d like to wear the Carapace armor. :|)
In the attached screenshots, you’ll notice the Phalanx Chestplate has the greatsword placed higher off the character in the profile shot, and the Carapace Chestplate has the sword tucked very close to the character model.

This bug appears to have fixed itself in the last 24 hours. I still don’t know what caused the problem in the first place—or what fixed it—but it looks fine now, so I’m glad for that.

It seems like helmet items that go over the eyes (like reading glasses, eyepatches, masks, goggle helmets) do not sit right for this face. Masks that go over the mouth and should have a ‘hole’ area for the eyes to be seen also cover the eyes almost completely. I am hesitant to buy certain gem store outfits because the helmets look odd.
In some examples the eye is covered by the eye patch but it is noticeably not aligned correctly. The ‘center’ that should be over the eye is instead centered on the eyebrow.

Bugs:
1. rear bottom section is undyable.
It’s always gray with yellow compass icon. An obvious bug since female version does not suffer from such issue at all, nor do identical sections on sides.
2. Both front and rear streatching horizontally when in battle stance producing real ugly and unnatural result.
Front flap should simply stay the same size, nothing harmful will happen when we see more of the legs, which are fully dressed in pants anyway. Back also looks real ugly when in battle. Here’s a screen:

Hello there, I was about to buy the “Imperial Outfit” when I noticed the abnormal look it has on my female Norn Character, so at the moment I am not going to buy it. On the lower leg area the armor makes the legs look very very thin, it looks like a graphic bug. I searched online or I checked other people wearing it and in some Norn the legs look even thinner than others. I realized that the problem must be more noticeable on larger characters, it’s like the width of the leg remains the same despite the characters size. I am posting some images so u can see the problem.
I hope it can be fixed because this is a very good looking armor skin and it is pity to have such a big flaw. I would like to buy it, if the problem gets fixed

As you can see in the screenshots, the shoulder fan piece clips right into the centre of the asura’s heads when entering combat stance. Normally I shrug off clipping issues but this is far too severe. If you have no plans to fix this, I would like to request a refund on my gems; I would never have bought this if I knew the outfit had such ridiculous clipping issues.

The first skin is part of the Guild Defender armour, which is very similar to banded, but with minor changes and a guild emblem on the chestpiece. After the change to pvp skin acquisition, you can no longer get any of the set apart from the chestpiece.
If you did already have that piece (Guild Defender Shoulderplate,) then you might/should have it in your wardrobe.

If u’re going to do a tail flap – then do it properly! I’d rather see a slit that leaves room for the tail than this. This is the kind of clipping that makes me NOT buy things, things that apart from the annoying clipping, looks good. Plz stop using the lazy design sollutions. Female charr suffers more than male charr when there is gender specific clothing. Female charr ALWAYS get clipping things so far while male dont. I dont mind gender specific – as long as both outfits fits properly and dont clip!

Issue: new face clipping with glasses/certain helmets
Original thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Charr-face-clipping-with-glasses-helmets/first#post4815199
Not much to tell. The glasses pretty much sink into the face, hiding most of the actual model. In case of the T3 Cultural Heavy helmet, the snout just sticks through.

The hair first. It has been and always will be my personal favorite style.

Now the few armor comparisons, note the shoulders especially, sized and placed incorrectly on Norn females for where their graphical body is. The absurdity of some of the visuals have slain me since day one:

What I’m praying for is some kind of alteration to the Norn female body frame that the actual armor meshes are applied to to correct the weird floaty/parachute shoulder effects.
And 1 final plea while I’m at it for an alternate version of an existing shoulder to be made available as a symmetrical piece to complement an otherwise totally symmetrical armor. (Skin added, not replaced, I been crushed by a forced skin replacement in the past, just want another option added if possible.)

So many helmets introduced lately just remove your character’s beard, or don’t function in the same manner.
Try the medium armor version of the Glorious Helm, it shows the beard just perfectly. Now try the heavy armor version, voila, beard gone.
Please fix this, I DID create a bearded character for a reason and equipping my heavy helm doesn’t mean I shave before-hand…

There is a lot of clipping involved with this armor piece. Not with other armors, just with itself.
The top has two parts that clips with the body on a permanent fashion, others appear when in certain idle animations or by moving.
The biggest offender are the arm braces, the arms clip through them constantly, wheter its running, idling or fighting, there’s always skin/fur poking through them.
