Issue: The tier 3 cultural shoulders hide parts of the quiver and i don’t like it, i’ve spent a lot of money on them :S

Its the same for every backpiece when you have tier 3 medium shoulders. Look my example with fractal backpiece just above you.

Its a shame this issue exists on the most expensive armor set.

So this post is for something my guildies and I have noticed about the aura that we get when we weild Twilight and Sunrise. My character is a human female that’s relatively short, and his is a taller human male. We also have another person in the guild with a human female using Sunrise.
I have Twilight. The first person in my guild that I mentioned had it as well, and recently also made Sunrise. (Now he has Eternity, so I can’t take any further screenshots) The second person, the one with a human female and Sunrise, as well as my character both have noticeably larger auras when our weapons are drawn than the person who has now made Eternity did before combining them.
So to be clear. A human male seems to have a much smaller or less noticeable aura from his drawn legendary greatsword than a human female.
Thoughts? Are we just crazy? I’ll get some screenshots of our female human guildie with Sunrise to add to this ASAP.

PS: I am sorry for the atrocious screenshots. Our guildie making Eternity got impatient and these were the best I could do. I’ll work on it.

Issue: The headpiece of Braham’s Heavy Armor removes beards. I don’t actually own the armor as this is essentially a deal-breaker for me and I wont spend gems on it till its fixed, but previewing it in Gemstore or pvp locker will show you what I mean.

Issue: Item does not show up on females.
Description:
The shoulder armor for the Savant armor set only appears for male Asura characters. However, when only the shoulder armor is equipped (either by itself or with another armor set), it seems to display correctly. Also, when the Savant Coat is previewed on the male without the Epaulets, the Epaulets are displayed.

Notes: This armor shows up correctly in Zojja’s concept art, but in the game, they are not present on her. Also, it may be noteworthy that when the epaulets are worn alone in the male screenshot, the color scheme is different than when they are worn with the armor (last screenshot). I did not alter the dye scheme while taking these screenshots for the male.

Issue: This issue is independent of the other pieces of armor and weaponry equipped so i have forgone the screenshot of (H). This post is regarding Meteorlogicus after the Sept. 3rd update.

  • Contradictory handling of sheathed appearance between day and night (day looses glow while night does not.) [This issue seen between pictures 2, 3 and 4]
  • In night form a loading screen or equipping while sheathed will give Meteorlogicus an awesome glow trail, one of the best features of the pre-Sept. 3rd look which was inexplicably removed (The reason this doesn’t work in day I would assume is because the weapon looses its glow while sheathed during the day.) [This issue depicted between pictures 1 and 2]
  • The cloud portion of its footprint effect is slow to appear with respect to the lightning portion making it look odd [This issue depicted in picture 5 where the first lightning has no cloud and the second is just getting its cloud] Side note: the clouds linger longer as a result so we end up with lightningless clouds at the tail end out our footprint chain.

-Issue: The focus is backwards or ‘inwards’ to the thigh, and placed inside her leg or lower hip.

I purchased the recipe for an ascended focus and chose the WupWup stats, and upon preview (I have not made it just yet because of this reason) The focus is placed backwards and completely hidden from view. At first I thought this was just my armor, so I switched bottoms to a smaller set, and it still applied and when I removed the bottom armor piece completely it revealed that the Focus was completely inside my Norn’s leg sticking out like shrapnel. Now I do not wish to hope or believe that this placement was on purpose and hope it can be fixed and placed correctly on the thigh.

Part of the arm of my charr change color when i wear this coat,i suppose it happen to all charr and it’s not just my problem because i get the same problem previewing the armor with another charr character.

EDIT: after a bit of testing i realized that the part change color depending on the dye i use on my coat on the first panel(see last screen). also i didn’t mention that this coat is transmuted but i don’t think it change something(like i said previewing from the npc from another charr get me the same problem)

Issue: Floats a few inches above the face, covering up the eyes

A while back, I picked up one of the masks from the trading post – looked fine in the preview. After equipping it, I noticed that the mask floats a bit higher than it did from the preview, which causes the mask to cover up my character’s eyes. I’ve posted the picture from the Black Lion Trading Post preview, and the picture from the preview panel following. Just to be clear, the armor doesn’t make a difference – I’ve tried it with and without armor, and the mask still floats.

Issue: Clips when wielding a greatsword

Attached hero panel pic, and in-game pic while wielding the sword. There are two areas of interest here:

1) The pant leg, clips the lower part of the robe (they’re both the same piece)
2) The lower tip of the robe, clips the feet. While testing this, I discovered that this happens while standing idle as well.

In the shot above, the boots also clip with the armor, but it’s also part of another set completely: Archon Boots. For reference, the boots DO NOT have an effect on the first two issues – the clipping occurs whether or not they’re equipped.

This armor has several lines or texture errors along materials. I’m describing from the image below.

1) The shoe sole creates a red line along the shoe, and both small furs along the shoe have that too.
2, 4, 5) The small metal plate circles have red lines going through the middle from top down. The middle one in the back has it going down a little further.
3) The lower part of the leg armor has a small decorative part going around. It creates a red line in the middle of the rear side of it. It’s probably the worst because you see it very much while moving around.
6) Fur has a red line along the edges, more visibly on the top
7) Not sure if intended: small red dot on the arm piece.

The Savant Epaulets is obscured. If I lay the mouse arrow on the item it says: "This item is currently obscured by another." I’ve tried to unequip other pieces of my armor and it seems that it is the Savant Chest piece that is induces this bug.

It’s a little hard to see because it’s all dark, but it’s on the belt part, where the chest goes into the pants.

I have a complaint in general about the standard human female underwear (don’t know if this has been pointed out, but it’s worth repeating as it is).
When swimming, there is a very obvious problem that appears with certain dress/skirt types of armor. In short, it looks like my characters underwear is split. On one character with a dark purple color to her skirt, it shows up as a bright red line up the middle, however on my main character, it actually shows up as skin color.
My guess is that someone dropped the vertices on the UV seam right on the edge of the UV region, and anti-aliasing and such takes care of the rest when applying a texture to the UV. It really should be fixed because it simply looks sloppy if not inappropriate.

No, I’m not loading a screen shot pervs :P

Im not posting an image of this but the upper inner thigh near the groin has a large almost inappropriate hole or gap between the body and the armor bikini.
Its disturbing looking to say the least.

As far as I can tell, it doesn’t matter which character I play, which map or city I am in; it’s all the same. Likewise, I noticed the ghosts in the Plains of Ashford appear as regular citizens rather than semi translucent, blue ghosts.

I tried changing my graphics setting to best appearance, but this makes no difference.

As far as I can tell, it doesn’t matter which character I play, which map or city I am in; it’s all the same. Likewise, I noticed the ghosts in the Plains of Ashford appear as regular citizens rather than semi translucent, blue ghosts.

I tried changing my graphics setting to best appearance, but this makes no difference.

This is an aspect of the PvE culling removal. In your Options > Graphics settings are two sliders that control the number of character models to display on-screen and the quality of those displayed models in both Open World and WvW.

Having the “Character Model Detail” slider set to “Low” will cause models that are rendered to be displayed as generic “place holder” models (the generic pvp models you are seeing currently). Lower quality generic models take less time to load into memory and less memory used in displaying. Increasing the “Character Model Detail” slider to a higher quality value will cause character models to display their customized appearances, which uses more memory and can increase loading screen times.

Right now the Incinerator clips with the ground while held in the offhand slot. The arm “aura” also clips with the fused gauntlets making it impossible to even see the “aura”. The firey swirls that occur when initially weilding the weapon do not occur while the weapon exists in the off hand slot.

Oh, and the footfall wasn’t updated.

In screens 2-4 your horns and ears are now visible. Perhaps they are trying to rework some gear for the Charr to be as they should’ve always been instead of amputating the horns and ears off of them as has been begged for by the community. This gives me hope to one day being able to make a Charr without fear of losing my horns and ears when wearing a helmet. Hopefully this continues and tails will no longer clip through the gear and there will actually be a tail hole.

UPDATE: 9/23/23
I was messing with my settings again.
and it seems like it has something to do with shaders.
I set it to low and from head to toe the colours are correct but then there is no shine, I set it to medium and I glow and the colours are off (unless it is dark & it looks sorta ok), high… I look like a x-mas tree

I’m partially guessing here basing on my observation, but the differences in looks of your armor may have mainly something to do with the environment you’re in (even the day and night light affect this). Some areas have completely different specular lighting than the others, the preview window has the most neutral lighting as possible.

I’m partially guessing here basing on my observation, but the differences in looks of your armor may have mainly something to do with the environment you’re in (even the day and night light affect this). Some areas have completely different specular lighting than the others, the preview window has the most neutral lighting as possible.

I have ran around in different areas, other than LA, and messed with my settings to see if its just my end. It’s not, and I’m not the only one with this problem. I have talked with a few of my guildies that have the same problem.

The GW2 logo baseball cap that head-starters (or maybe it was pre-order people) recieved is totally bugged since a little while after launch. At launch, it would show your hair under the cap – now, it makes you look bald.

I can post before and after screens when I get home…I like wearing my town clothes in cities, but get teased for how odd it makes my character look.

1) Weapon does not create burst effect when drawn during either night time or day time.

2) Weapon does not leave legendary effect trail when thrown with GS skill 4 during either night time or time.

3) Weapon does not leave legendary effect trail when thrown with downed skill 1 during either night time or day time.

Both Twilight and Sunrise have these effects coded in. Eternity is the most expensive and difficult to obtain item in the game. Please, please, please fix this. It is very frustrating to see posts about Eternity (and other legendary effects) ignored completely, and to see hotfix patches be released just to fix a goofy mining pick that takes no effort to acquire.

I’ve noticed a problem with the armor combination of the Iron Legion Breastplate and Barbaric Plate legs. I’ve only found it recently while wielding a staff. But I went through my old screens and it was there too.
I have no connection between my torso to the bottom half of the character model. Most noticeable when wielding weapons or moving at all.

Asura have a general problem with greatswords. When a sword is stowed, it will clip with a lot of times with armor, and nearly always in the ground.

The following image shows that Asura wear their greatswords much lower on the back than other races.

Here are a few bugs with eternity that I would like to address that are very serious to me. I understand the weapon had a few small effects added to it but I am very disappointed to find three of my favorite features on Sunrise and Twilight have been taken away from eternity.. This makes no sense to me as it is harder to get. So why should it lose effects??

-Whirling Wrath: No longer fires Twilight / Sunrise colored projectiles from the blade mid-spin. Instead it has reverted to the normal guardian effects..

-Pull/ Binding Blade: No longer fires Twilight/ Sunrise colored blades at the foes that were in range of the pull skill. Instead this has also been reverted to the normal guardian effect..

-On unsheathing Twilight and Sunrise there is a short burst of energy that resonates off of your character. This awesome effect has also been removed entirely from eternity…

I don’t know how many of you have eternity out there..but if I would have known these effects were taken away from the weapon I never would have crafted it. Eternity feels like a step down without them these effects made the separate swords truly feel legendary.. I hope this is fixed soon.

The Charr cultural T3 helm clips with my upper jaw. It’s part of the side plate that starts at the ears/horns and leads to the beak-like nose piece. It is minor, but it has been driving me nuts since I got the helm. Lower jaw is fine for me. The clipping is on both sides of my helm.

Issue: Cheekbone Clipping
Description: Asura cheekbones clip through on both sides of the front of The GEM STORE Aetherblade Helmet. I’ve seen 5 different Asura in the last few days, other than myself, who have this helmet on and the cheekbones were clipping through on all of them. This has also been reported many times in the Bugs forum since the skin was introduced, yet it has still not been corrected. This skin can cost real money to acquire, I would have expected this to have been corrected in a timely manner because of this fact.

I’ve also seen screenshots of some Asura with extreme brow bone, forehead, and eye socket clipping.

Issue: The flaps on the Vigil medium chest armor make a weird angle around the right knee, visible from every angle, while standing still and while moving.

The “Stalwart’s Coat” (seen here as a transmuted “Caretaker’s Jacket” and also available as the “Slayer’s Coat”) has an issue with the neck of female humans—and possibly others, but I’ve not noticed it or been able to test on other races/genders. As shown in the attached screens below, the skin of the neck takes on a strange texture that doesn’t match the skin of my character at all. I’m guessing the neck is supposed to be bare, hence this report.

I love this coat, and reported an earlier issue where it messed up charr eyes—that’s since been fixed (a big thank you to whoever did that!), so I’m hoping this will be addressed as well. Thank you for this thread and actively correcting issues as they’re reported!

This is an issue related to the Fiery Dragon Sword skin that can be acquired from the Hall of Monuments.

In snowy areas such as shiverpeaks (wayfarer foothills, dredgehaunt cliffs, etc.), the light emitted by the Fiery Dragon Sword skin is way too bright. When wielding two of them at the same time it’s even brighter, and with post-processing settings on it’s even worse…

The problem only exists in snowy areas, everywhere else it seems to be alright.

Also in Hero Panel, if you have two Fiery Dragon Sword skins equipped, one of them will not burn.

Armor issue (waist clipping between armor parts)
Race: Norn

Armor class: Heavy
Norn cultural t3 legguards [&AgHTDgAA] and Gladiator’s chest [&AgHiKQAA] generate a very noticable and off-putting seam on the waist, also if looked close upon, it seems that the waist sizes themself are mismatching. Slightly less noticable up front but very noticeable looking from behind.
My character uses the lowest height setting and a petite/fit (?) body setting, As much as it applies to norn anyway. Can’t go through creation screen to check which one exactly.

The Hellfire Vambraces on a female Sylvari do not have the correct texture on the fingers when worn as light armor. They do look correct as heavy armor. I’ve attached a screenshot of them. The left is Light, the right is Heavy. If it makes a difference I’m using the farthest most right body type for both of them.

As others have noted, this piece has clipping issues on several models. For the default body shape, and the 2nd and 3rd options on the second row, it fits well. On other body shapes, it clips into one or both of the legs. It’s far worse on some models than others.

I had stopped playing for a bit shortly after the Flame and Frost living story. I recently came back and noticed my Charr was extra spiky. It wasn’t like this during Flame and Frost.

Race: Charr
Sex: Male
Class: Thief
Weapons: Mystic Sword/Dagger

The only piece of armor I’m wearing in the screenshots is the vigil medium chest piece. It has been re-skinned to an item of different stats (lvl 80). I really do like that one spike that shoots out my fore-arm and goes past the elbow though, I’d like to keep that one.

Clipping gloves issue

Apart from so many other things that tend to clip on Charr, gloves do so too… I discovered that the Krytan armour ones do so (sorry, no Picture but they clip in same places as many of the following examples)… so I changed… I had to search for quite a while Before I finaly found any. The ones I finally got pleased with was gloves that doesnt cover u’r lower arm as they all clip more or less. Zho’s Gloves almost didnt clip at all… just a tiny, tiny bit.

I have posted about Ranger’s RAVEN in the general thread but figured that it might be art-related. So I make a post here too.

The Wings of Raven are broken when they fly just a short bit away from u. This is a reason why I don’t use this bird as half of the wings disapear sometimes. Looks ugly. The Owl does not have this problem – perhaps it’s got thicker wings?

Human Elementalist Equipment:

Armor: Vital Embroidered Set (Lvl 10)
Weapon: Mighty Bronze Dagger (Lvl 10)

All equipment was crafted in Divinity’s Reach.

My weapons are floating a bit away from my characters when they are put away. You can easily see in the screen shots the space between the characters and the weapons. The dagger is more obvious when the character is running. The weapons used to look perfectly attached to the characters. I hope you can revert to the previous settings. Thanks for your time!
