Ranger bugs
Up ! Up! Up! Up! Up!
swoop doesnt go on a -66% cd after quick draw
call of the wild says it has a 30 sec cd but it doesnt actually have one (not sure if this is a bug with the tooltip or if its a bug with how the skill is working.. should it cast every time ya swap or is it only if u wait 30s between swaps)
also auto attacks count towards the -66% cd on quickdraw.. you dont have to actually use a skill.. if u swap and u auto attack first itll count that as ur skill.. which is sad
1) Healing spring is a Trap now, so Rune of Trapper should give you 3 sec of stealth when you use this skill. But it doesnt.
2) In final (23 june) realease notes it is said:
“Hidden Barbs: Bleeding you cause deals 33% more damage.”
But INGAME it is 20%.Can devs please help rangers on theses problems? I would love to fully test my ranger..but can’ t with this bugs
3) Healing Spring does not heal pets or allies — and it does still say it will.
4) Healing Spring is listed as a “Trap” but doesn’t do a thing that traps DO.

Up
Please fix Healing Spring or ‘Trap’ with Runes of Trapper
- Healing Spring doesn’t heal pet
- Natural Healing (trait) only heals pet, not ranger (intended?) and won’t show in combat log.
“Light on your Feet:
Damage and condition duration is increased for a while after dodging. Short bow skills recharge faster and your arrows pierce.”
Everything works as noted in the description but the condition duration increase is 100% instead of just 10%. Is the description wrong or the duration bugged?
Hoping to see the swoop bug worked out, and everything else!
Swoop not affected by tho-handed training = 20% reduced recharge. The skill info says 9&1/2sec but after executing it counts from 12 !!!.
I think it heals, but for sure not every second, but rather every 3 sec
I think it heals, but for sure not every second, but rather every 3 sec
This kind person is talking about Natural Healing (I deleted my post instead of editing?).
It seems to be healing every 3 seconds instead of the stated 1, and it isn’t showing up in the combat log at all.
The ICD on Clarion Bond doesn’t work, it is 0.
The patch says: Ranger Longbow skill range is now 1500.
If you look at the longbow skill #4 “Point Blank Shot” – it has only 1200 range.

Hey all, I’m looking into these!
Hey all, I’m looking into these!
Good, thank you!
Be sure to get back to this thread, we’ll fill it up with more!
-water spirit can be activated multiple times healing you from 0 to 100% in an instant.
Healing spirit heals for way too much, literaly for full hp, it makes rangers immortal in pvp now.
Strength of the pack and We heal as one both don’t trigger soldier rune’s condi removal.
Hey all, I’m looking into these!
God bless you !
I had another post about greatsword and the two handed mastery cooldown reduction not working here with a picture to support it.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Ranger-swoop-2-handed-training/first#post5199350
Irenio, do you mind just addressing the range nerfs to the offhands – are these truly intended, or a bug, or just oversight? there was no mention of it. i can understand the projectiles being nerfed to 900, but Bonfire must retain its 240 radius. it’s very lackluster now, just about all of us agree.
Natural healing before patch:
Functionality according to wiki (how it used to work):
Your pets have natural health regeneration.
Health per second: 125
Also affects the ranger, healing for 133 every 3 seconds.
Only active during combat.
Compassion training will increase the heal to 177 every 3 seconds on the ranger.
Bug before patch: Description
Natural healing post patch:
Only heals the pet
Heals for a tiny amount (might be that it now only heals for 125 health every third second?)
Current status: Bugged (most likely) – revert it to how it used to work, fix description.
All Spirits have a 70% chance to grant passive bonuses instead of 75% when traited with [Nature’s Vengeance] (Nature Magic – Grandmaster Trait)
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
the status of the pets of the ranger is below what it was before … my wolf has less status than before the update
Pet stats
According to patch notes – “All ranger pets now gain an additional 150 power, vitality, toughness, and precision at level 80.”
They don’t. Checking stats of pets in game post patch, with status of pets on the wiki (pre patch stats), they haven’t recieved an increase to their stats at all.
Another Healing Spring bug:
You can have upt to 4 healing spring traps up at the same time, while other traps disappear the moment you set a 2nd trap of the same type.
When using Resounding Timbre (Beastmastery adept trait) the tooltip for “Heal As one” and “Strength of the Pack” does not show swiftness and regen.
Remorseless opening strike proc does not apply the 100% critical strike chance bonus on all 5 targets with Maul on GS. on tightly grouped targets within Maul range, Remorseless/opening strike seems to apply to only one target always, while regular stats apply to the other 4. for example, with 24% crit chance (when fury procs), Maul will always crit on the closest target, but only sometimes crits on the surrounding ones. tested on rows of golems in mists.
strangely, the opening strike vulnerability stacks apply to all 5 targets all the time. the crit chance does not. not sure about the dmg multiplier
this problem does not exist with swoop, which cleaves all 3 targets and crits every time on all 3 with remorseless proc.
so this could be an opening strike problem. or an remorseless problem?

We would all like to know how these blatant bugs got past your present beta testers?
Doesn’t this and other posting storms convince you and others that your present beta testers aren’t doing what they are supposed to be, yet?!

another Natural Healing report:
i just did Arah story mode, and decided to trait Natural Healing with the Signet of the Wild to double up on pet regen. however, i noticed there was no natural healing in my combat log. i tested by removing the signet from my skill bar, and sure enough, the pet no longer regened any health while traited (obviously after losing health to the “champions” i fought in the story instance.
to summarize: no heals from Natural Healing when traited.
i filed in in-game bug report and sent an in-combat screenshot for the above.
afterward, i fought some mobs in the straights of devestation, by taking Nautral Healing, and no SIgnet of the Wild, and told my pet to attack one mob at a time, while i kept my ranger from attacking, and my pet received no healing during combat. i fought mobs that would apply bleeding, so that i could compare timing of healing ticks with timing of bleeding ticks. there were bleeding tick floating numbers (which were recorded in combat log) and NO healing ticks.

Not a bug! PBS has always had shorter range than other longbow skills because of the nature of the ability. Originally 900 when everything was 1200, but could be traited to be 1200 with eagle eye while everything else was 1500. That’s just what we have now and is to be expected. I think having a 1200 range PBS is incredible.

Hey, let’s be careful with our rhetoric. We got what we wanted—someone’s looking in to these! We don’t know what kind of constraints they were under getting this patch through the door. The important thing is that they’re listening and working on it.

Regarding Opening Strike/Remorseless Maul Mechanic:
here is evidence that indeed neither the +25% damage nor the 100% crit chance applies to the other 4 targets when executing Maul with Remorseless proc. all the numbers are different, only closest golem takes the hardest hit. vulnerability is applied to all 5.

Hasn’t that always been the case?

Even if it was, it shouldn’t be.
It’s a single hit, not a series of hits and thus should apply to every target hit unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Not a new bug, but the most gameplay breaking one with longbow nonetheless. Longbow skills 2, 3 and 4 goes on full cd instead of the shortened one when interrupted, canceled or looking the “wrong” way. If one is facing more than 45 degrees to the side of a target the skill will go on instant full cd without being fired (or even started casting).
Of all the current ranger bugs, this one is by far the worst. It happens way too often to be ignored, and often results in disaster for the ranger.
Pet stats lowered. Not being applied the 150 extra stats they’re suppose to have.
Sic ’Em still bugged. Issuing any other F1-4 ability cancels Sic ’Em
Resounding Timbre doesn’t apply regen or swiftness to “we heal as one” nor “strength of the pack” being they are both shouts.

It does apply it, it’s just not stated in tooltip.
healing spring still bugged and doesn’t heal pet.

Although there are no healing ticks, Natural Healing does heal the pet for a small amount. You can check this by letting your pet attack a foe all on its own, while maintaining a close look to its health bar. However, it appears that Natural Healing doesn’t heal every second, but rather every 2 or 3 seconds only.
————————————-
When you proc Beastly Warden through F2 while your opponent is using a skill, you will get the “interrupt” prompt, but your opponent still completes the skill as though he wasn’t interrupted. Might be a problem with Taunt in general. Intended?
to reproduce:
Let your pet attack a drake and wait for it to channel its breath attack. Hit F2. You get the interrupt notification, but the drake still completes the breath attack.
Edit:
I’m getting the impression that Taunt isn’t working as intended. I just brought a drake pet for Zephyrites Crystal event in Dry Top and ordered my pet to attack the quickly moving Inquest Asura with its F2 skill. My pet got in range, applied Taunt on the target and the Asura still kept bouncing all over the place. Neither got interrupted, nor ran towards my pet.

Hey, Kui!
Can you take a look here:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/ranger/Anet-address-this-Off-hand-radius-range
A rather jarring matter, if you ask me.
Good work with swoop! Hope the other things get work too!
The pet juvenile boar F2 skill (Forage) searches for improvised weapons. The items that drop are:
1.- Rock
2.- Skull
3.- Bone
The bug is that the skull has a recharge of 120 seconds which is 3 times the recharge of the F2 skill. Thus, this renders useless the skill F2.
Forage only searches for these weapons and does not do any damage.

My comment was WAY before anyone was “looking into them” and have been merged with other comments of the same type.
How about you ask why I said what I did, maybe even when I said it, before scolding me?
I had thought I noticed it in a fractal, but I was able to test it again in LA.
As much as I love that my cute little dolphins, and whopper of a whale, don’t sacrifice themselves for me, it seems that spirits underwater do not actually die after performing their active skill, but can live their full lives with some of them being able to perform their active attack 3 times before they die.
I have no problem with this, and would not mind if our land based spirits get to be to be this resilient, but I don’t think that is the way you were hoping they wold work.
Quick Draw does sometimes not get triggerd on weapon swap during fights.

Potentially game-breaking bug here.
Quick Draw doesn’t work for Whirling Defense.
