Guesting to other servers won’t work for me anymore. This problem is getting worse and worse. I’m 100% certain that it’s not a problem with our end due to the fact that it only happens to certain characters we own.

Some characters play fine and is able to load into maps but other like my Guardian is constantly getting the error in regions like Fireheart Rise, LA, Caledon Forest. It’s currently stuck in Fireheart Rise with the error for the past 14 hours. I can’t do my daily fractals because of this problem due to my Guard having all the Agony Resist…

I hope Anet is able to fix this problem, after some googling it seems like this problem has been rampant for the past several months and Anet techies have been putting this issue off to the side…

EDIT: This problem also exists on Guild Wars 1, it gives a error 007 on my Paragon when I try to load into Kamadan and locks the character on the map just like this error. However I can load into Kamadan just fine with my Monk and Warrior. This is definitely a server sided problem.

Guesting stopped fixing the issue for me as well. Got 2 toons stuck in the Grove and 1 in Bloodtide Coast. I suppose it’s only a matter of time before all my toons are stuck in limbo.
Teleporting to a different map feels like playing Russian Roulette…

Ok i am stuck on all my chars in lions arch. I cannot log anywhere get connection error on all my chars. It happend with this patch hope u guys can fix this alot of my guild members have the same issue .It also happen in some WvW mapswhat i can not connect to so fix this send about 20 tickets away no reply .

I am having the same issue. The game started disconnecting a few times and now it disconnects right in the loading screen. My character is stuck in the Diessa Plateau. Whenever I try to log in, it stays in the loading screen until I get the disconnect error.

I’ve tried guesting on another server and it worked. But whenever I try to return to my server, the problem comes back. Since all my friends are on the Crystal Desert server, I am not being able to play with them.

Can anyone show me how to open a ticket for the support team?

I submitted a support ticket about this already but anyway…last night I had a lot of trouble trying to log in to areas where guildies where running gmissions, which leads me to believe , at the least in my case, the amount of ppl in the zone is a factor. As another person mentioned I also had a few similar frozen load screen issues when playing GW1…
Just a few minutes ago I had this problem again when trying to get to Southsun.
My girlfriend has been having these issues too, maybe less than me. She is same ISP, same country as me.

If someone can tell me what I should run a traceroute to then I can provide the output.

Guardian still stuck at Fireheart Rise. Managed to guest to another server to fix it. Did CoF with my Guardian and as soon as I left the dungeon to warp back to Fireheart…guess what: I got the error again. Game is totally unplayable at the moment (at least to me).

My Thief got stucked in Bloodtide Cost, after some time i managed to enter in this map and get her back.

I am having this issue as well. 4 of my characters are now stuck. 2 in Kessex Hills, 1 in Snowden Drifts and 1 in Rata Sum. The problem started yesterday. Before that all my characters were fine. Guesting works sometimes, however as soon as i try to go back to the same location on my home server it disconnects again.

I can see when my character is not loading. When area’s loading screen appear, it does not show WP, Heart, Poi, Skill Challenge and Vista’s or their amount in loading screen. There is only name of that area and other information from that area is not appearing. But when that other info is coming to loading screen, I know that specific character is working at that time.

Two of my characters are stuck in a loading screen in Iron Marches. I got one out by guesting to Ferguson’s. And now I created a new character, and she got stuck going into a personal story instance – again, got her out by guesting.

Thief is stuck loading Cursed Shore.

Try guesting in another server. Worked for me right now.

I ported to LA and got stuck. Restarted the game, and tried a few times, no luck.

Then I chose a random server in world selection, tried logging in and voila, my character is now in LA.

EDIT: nevermind, I’m stuck again. apparently this works but only once.

Any update by the mods? All my characters are stuck atm and I can not play this game. This is getting pretty ridiculous.

Got this issue as well. Happened after the latest ‘small patch’. Basically, getting spammed every couple of minutes with an ‘error unable to access log-in server…’.

First started happening when I entered Heart of the Mists on an alt.

Cannot see Guild most of the time when this issue starts – can play generally normally for awhile until I map change, in which disconnect and ending up ‘stuck’ happens.

Another issue I’ve had with this – when it does work, and I can see my Guild and no error messages, after awhile I will get a crash with the option of sending a report of it to ANet. Never happened before this.

Obviously with this, doing anything with the Trading Post is impossible and foolish. I lost some money (nothing worth noting) by selling something and couldn’t get the coins. Just a warning to anyone selling items worth big coins.

I would say it makes the game mostly unplayable at this point, as you never know when you’ll get disconnected.

I was doing Guild Events when I got DC’d and my character stuck.

Since most of my toons are stuck now anyway I decided to run a trace route as well.

Issue began Yesterday (2nd August). Only effects certain characters. Last night I’d get kicked for trying to load a third fractal and tonight it’s Timberline Falls.

Same for my Wife, her two level 80s are now stuck in Timberline Falls.

We can tell when we’re not going to load in because (as someone else has said) the Hearts/POI/etc does not update on the loading screen.

Every other program works fine on both PCs.

my mesmer is stuck in the grove, and despite the fact that I guested in 2 different servers, jack all is solved, and I get error 7. I’m so god kitten kittened off at this, Ive been having this issue since latest patch, and I can’t do anything about it because I tried to see if any other character could enter the grove and, loath and behold, now my theif is also stuck in the kitten ed grove. Im having the same problem as Sinope, but atleast the vistas/PoIs/waypoints collected are shown when I guest another world. I am not even close to any sort of solution, and I am at wit’s end, and I really hope this is fixed by tuesday at the latest

Tried it again after reinstalling again, followed the instructions regarding prefreset and resetting windows startups, only made the problem worse. Now instead of disconnecting at the map loading screen, it poops out on the character select screen.

Eternal battlegrounds is the only WvW map I can’t log into on my Elementalist. I have alts, but I only ever play my Ele, except to craft. I’m thankful that it’s not every map and still able to do some things.

Not sure if this has any baring, but I updated an Nvidia driver to 340.52, which isn’t a beta.

Having same problem with code 7.
I logged on to char in Field of Ruins, waypointed to Gendarran Fields now getting the same code everytime i try and log in, stuck on loading screen til it times out.
On another char I logged in fine, she was in Lions Arch tried to waypoint her too South sun now stuck on loading screen til she times out, now pretty scared to move any char by waypoint since thats appears to be the issue for me, able to gain access til I try to move via waypoint then lost to loading screen.

UK here on NA server.

So, fixed my problem at least by adding in 8.8.8.8 (google’s free dns server) as an alternative DNS server in the TCP/IP config for my network card then running an “ipconfig /flushdns” from a command line on the PC.

Can’t say it will work for everyone else having the problem but that’s what worked for me anyway.

I got my chars stucked on (apparently) maps where “Dragons Reach P1” Develops. Tough im not sure if it was just a coincidence.

But this started with the update, thats for sure.

Edit: My achievements are fine inside the game, so far the only character working is on Queensdale….others all Infinite Loading…

For me, changing the server worked. I guested at Anvil Rock or Jade Quarry and was able to play with the chars.

This issue looks a lot like someone somewhere has been messing with ip addresses could be that something is blocking some range of Anet’s ips to the servers that is why it not effecting all servers. Also for all that have posted their trace routs and timed out at the last ip this has been stated time and again that for security reasons this is normal

I haven’t disconnected at all since I deleted the Gw2.dat file and downloaded it fresh. I was going to try the -repair command, but it kept freezing and crashing when I tried.

Started today for me, worked last night without any errors.
Guesting seemed to help for a little, now I can’t load in past the character select screen.

How can we send a ticket if we’re not even logging all characters that are stuck in maps they don’t enter no matter how hard we try?
I got this problem with my war, and now with my guardian…he’s stuck at The Groove and I can’t login in the game with him anymore. My warrior was having trouble to get out from Mt. Maelstrom and to go to Eternal Battlegrounds. I did that prefreset thing and it worked but it saddens me that I’ll have to put all my configurations again in the game so I can play it.
Something used to be fun is getting stressful and as I see there are cases that are from 2013 and until now no solutions.

I was trying to do the living…but now I guess I’l wait a few years until you find the solution for the issue. I really love Guild Wars 2 but this kind of thing happenning every day and a lot of times “randomly” makes everyone give up sooner or later. You may lose more players if it keep goin.

My mesmer is stuck in cursed shore, and my warrior is stuck in black citadel. I was playing hours earlier fine, and then this happened out of nowhere and i dont know what to do.

I just got my warrior out of Cursed Shore by guesting on a different server.
