Is it not about time that we get some form of official update on this issue?

I would very much like to be able to buy gems..
The limited personal account bank space, and lack of character slots is starting to limit my enjoyment and hinder me in collecting items within the game.

I have sent tickets twice now and been very patient, once to ArenaNet through this website and once directly to NCSofts account support and no sort of useful response is really starting to unnerve me.

#120831-018519 (to arenanet: was closed and nothing was done)
#120921-004377 (to ncsoft: got help on accessing my master account to see if I could do something my self, and told that my request was forwarded to billing, but nothing has come of it)

I completely agree.

Having the same issue here. I’ve been purchasing gems, like clockwork, every two weeks. Recently made a large purchase, and today, I am unable to purchase gems(I don’t have time to try and ‘play’ the BLT. I work alot, so I’d rather just purchase gems to trade for gold with GW2).

I’ve sent in a request regarding my attempt at purchase, in that it gives a “Contact Customer Support to Confirm Identity”…

Regarding my bank… I have so much security attached to my card that if ANYTHING out of the ordinary happened with it, they would immediately let me know. I continuously check my bank account everyday, and keep detailed books.

Same thing happened to me. I bought 5 karma boosters when they went on sale and I have yet to receive them. My mailbox is not full either. Does anybody have a solution to this problem?

hello! I have bought gems about 2 hours ago and still havent received any.. i spent 100eu, i also didnt get the email that i actually bought them only message from the bank on my mobile that the 2 transactions of 50eu went through.

There are some known issues that may have played a part with what is happening today (Monday, March 25). Here’s the official statement about this:

So i take it considering that the first post was 6 months ago, me saying that today i got an error saying my card transaction didnt go through, on my debit card is not strange. i meen ive baught gems with it b4, and now i return after a month, and suddenly its not working. checked with bank, they say the accounts valid, and tehy havnt even recived any transactions for a week now so when the message says, Card transaction failure, i take it, its the Gem store end, not my bank. now ive deleted the card to try typing it in again, and now its completly blank and i cant add that card to it. i dont use paypal so how can this b resolved?

same problem here. multiple tickets open. my bank was even willing to have a 3 way conversation with NCSOFT but they have no phone support.

it is not a problem on my end. cards are fine. other sites work fine. just guild wars 2.

let me give you my money people! i want to support the game and i like my fluff! B-)

Same is happening to myself. Purchased some gems yesterday morning around about 10am with no issue. Then tried to purchase some more around an hour later and all I get now is the “Card approval failed” message. I phoned my bank. No issue their end or with my card. Paypal does not work either. So I give up. Just look at it this way. No matter how frustrating it is for us, just know its got to be hurting ArenaNet more…. in their wallets!

Hi, i face the same problem of :-

The thing is, i have been using my credit card for 4 X 50 usd gem purchases in a row and when i tried for the fifth time i got the error msg. I have submitted a ticket and wish this matter could be resolved, not just for me, but for all the other users facing the same problem as well. Thank you.

Hello there, what is meant by; “Order is pending”? I tried to buy gems last night and was given a page telling me “Order is Pending, your gems will arrive shortly” only they haven’t. Does this mean that the order has indeed gone through and I have been charged or that the transaction has timed out?

And I just tried again and it tells me the same thing; The order is still pending. Your gems should arrive shortly. If there is a slight delay that’s one thing, I mean it’s not ignoring the card but I’ve checked my bank and emails and I’m not getting receipts or transaction history on any of them.

Ah, now it’s allowing me to buy them, just received confirmation from my emails. The last time, earlier on today trying to buy actually went through. Yet for some reason on buying items on gem store, the language on the Trading Post changes to German??

Hi There,
About an hour and a half ago I bought 15 black lion keys from gem store for 450 gems per stack of 5. So 1350 gems in total. The gems were debited straight away but no keys have turned up in my inventory or in mail or to collect from TP ??? Help please

I also purchased items from the gem store and did not receive them. I submitted a ticket and no response for several days.

EDIT: Resolved. Too much mail. I deleted the mail and received the items. It would be nice if we could get a message that our mail box is full. Thank You.

EDIT2: I did receive a response in a timely manner, I just looked for it in my email not my support account.

ugggh after 39 pages of posts i really dont think this is ever going to get fixed, nothing seems to be happening in regards to it, as with everyone else….ive been purchasing gems with my debit card since the game started, and now all of a sudden it doesn’t work, plus like the others paypal is not working either my ticket number is130331-000757….as is im going to miss out on the sell….i really hope gw2 has some type of “im sorry response” or extension of the sell to people effected.

Hey. I’ve had this error that happens both when trying to use the credit card option, and the paypal option.

Paypal: A error occured finalizing your payment (or something like that)
Credit card: Card approval failed

The first time I bought gems, was last week wednesday. It worked just fine and I bought 1600 gems. I decided to buy some more this friday and wanted to buy 800 gems, but then this error occured. My cousin was visiting me so we decided to try his credit card aswell, with no luck. The same error occured for us both, so I decided to make a ticket. The next day the ticket was responded, and they told me to contact my financial institution. I didn’t believe it had anything to do with me cause something like this never happened before, so I decided to try it again and surprisingly buying gems worked again. Now again today I want to buy some more gems, but the same error is haunting me. I don’t know what else I can do but to wait. I updated my ticket waiting for a response and I try to buy the gems frequently every hour or so without luck so far. I hope you find a fix to this.

I recently purchased Gems about a week ago for the Super Pet Trio Pack with no issue. For the past 48 hours however, no matter what, I get a Failed Card each and every time. This is also happening with 2 different cards and multiple possible spaces, dots, caps or not and combos. Frustrating to say the least. I didn’t know it was this difficult to do a micro-transaction.

Last time it was unblocked for my account i was only able to make 1 gem purchase and then it got blocked again. Please increase the limit of purchases for account.

Same problem here. I just activated my new VISA card and I’m getting this same message. What’s wrong? Not my problem. I just bought a game through Steam. So please, can someone tell me, what do I need to do about this? I can see that is not just my issue.
