I have had this problem since day one. I have had numerous tech support guys from ISP attend, with no known faults. Also bought a new router. I am just a bit lost as to what to do…
error 7 is back for me again right now it seems. Time 12:20-12:45pm UK 28th october.
all my avatars are in LA and keep experiencing this. One of them managed to get the LA overflow pop up and the others didn’t. After a few minutes error 7 on all of them however my connections to all other internet services are running fine.
It seems to be an issue with Anet and their overflow tech and handling global ip’s as far as I can see as I only get this in tandem with an overflow message and invariably thats LA zone.
My details for what its worth. The significant fact is probably I am EU based and play on an NA server.

I have tried all the solutions indicated in your forum / website but no improvement.

I’ve all ready e-mailed support and tried the whole ping plotter, hi jack this, and winsock stuff and I still can’t get on to play. I can sometimes log in but I’m automatically lagged out. Other times it’s just a straight up error 7 message.

- Havent tried but after getting these errors as well as the failed to access login server and the wrong password error (while being IN the game) i can go on other MMOs that i have including wow and rift as well as other Online games without having ANY issue with them what so ever.

My city just got sideswiped by a hurricane and my connection to the server was fine the whole time. But suddenly today (Halloween), I can’t play for more than 2-3 minutes without getting disconnected. Pretty sure that the issue isn’t on my end.

Yep I have GW1 and can play it for hours with no errors.

I play during the day mostly (and some nights) during the week all the time but not much at all on weekends.
I get this error CONSTANTLY. The game is nearly unplayable for me but I am a dedicated GW fan and will continue to log on every 10 minutes when i get kicked from WvW. It is kicking me from pve maps (all of them) the last two days also. I get this code 7 every half hour at a minimum and when its bad i get it every 5 or 10 minutes for hours at a time.

Thanking them for what? That the game is unplayable?? The problem persist for more then a month now and there are no direct actions taken or results whatsoever.

I get error 7:11:3:189:101 constantly on my Ranger! By constantly I mean after 10 seconds every time I try to play!
No other characters suffer this on my account. Thus it cannot be an issue at my end.
Please fix this, so I can actually play my class of choice on the game I paid for!
Something stirs in the sea of sorrows… This is buggy GW2 which you can not play because of error 7 they can not fix for many weeks.

Tech support is trying to turn the blame on the individual consumer when it’s clearly a server side issue. This is just sad. Can’t believe I just went out and bought this game.

I have not had this issue until a few days ago when I began receiving the message in chat about you guys testing the connections. Ever since then it’s a DC every 10-15 mins.

RUNNED: “game recovery”, and “guild wars 2 test” and all was normal
dowloaded latest video drivers.
STATUS: I can log ingame after 5 min loading screen, experience huge lags, skills wont work, unable to talck to any store or NPC, cant TP, go WvW,or use map chat, weirdly the guild chat works normally.
Also I get error 7 and get kicked out of server after 5-10 min.

I have a Guild Wars 1 account but actually i don’t have gw1 installed so i can’t try to play it.
I play from Italy in Milan and i don’t have a precise play time.
My issue happens when there are a lot of other players in maps like lion’s arch or at dungeons entrance.
I’m afraid this is a server problem and it’s not related to my ISP. I don’t have any kinf of connection issues except for Guild Wars 2 and i have a powerfull connection.
I have tried to run the client with antivirus and firewall disabled with no result.
I have been playing since the official release without problems, this issue has started yesterday and is persistent.

After having enjoyed nearly two weeks of no error 7, it is once again back plaguing me.
Once again, only on one character, t his time my guardian. Clearly server side, and clearly still a problem affecting many customers.
Funny timing really, as was just about to make my first gem store purchase, but if this bug is still hitting then why would I bother!

7:11:3:189:101 is the error i get everytime I play. I make it to the log in page chose a char and when the map loads i get the error and exit.
I’m currently at college and and the connection was fine when the game first came out and even up until recently. When i take it home it works fine for me. Please help

been getting the error 7 code again….started last nite if i stay still and chat im fine but if i try to run or gather or anything i get dc’d pretty quick. in the morning (7amish) connectivity is pretty good but past two night i log in at liek 10pm EST and have a ton of problems. my gaming schedule is pretty consistent 7am-10am then 10pm-1am the past month has been really good but alot of problems the past two nights

Checked my connection and all, no problems. Tried out other online games, no problems again. It’s definitely something related to the game or the servers. Hope it gets fixed cause this makes the game unplayable.

I never had this issue till that patch and now i can’t do anything. Fractals.. get dc-ed usually after 1st one or 2nd.. dungeons, random dcs every time destroying my rewards, pvp..great fun to lose a tournament due to it. All i can is level and even that isn’t great, with all the " oh look, you’re actually not online right now – you got dc-ed 20 meters further back… "
I have all ports forwarded, didn’t help. Firewall disabled / uninstalled.. nothing. Router taken out of the picture.. nope. This is making the game unplayable.

I’ve read all the forums and done everything that was requested to fix this on my side. Started noticing problem after Karka event. I have the Collectors Edition and been playing since the 3 day head start never encountered this problem. Please fix this soon. It’s going on a month since this started becoming a major issue.
It started this morning for me. Even though I am playing from EST USA, I have been on the EU servers to play with my guild.

Error code 7 has been 100% fixed for me. I had this issue since beta and it never resolved itself and I did everything short of replacing the router..
Which I did the other day. I went back to my DGL-4500 and low and behold not a single error code 7.
Switching out my router solved my issue. You have no idea how happy I am, for literally the first time I can play GW2!

I play GW2 from Arizona.
I have played all times between 7am and 1am AZ time since getting the game.
Problems with lag/freezes and disconnection problems have been getting progressively worse for our two machines since the Karka event. This morning the problems were occurring every 2-3 minutes to one of our two machines, and the game was basically unplayable. Game ran flawlessly between ~Oct21 and the Karka event for both of us.
re: DizkzeK. Router not my issue; the girlfriend plays from her PC (connected wirelessly) with no problems. Get the same error though; GW 1 works, even re-downloaded the kitten thing to test. Play from arizona, all the time.
