My friend has got his account hacked and has posted 2 tickets and is currently waiting for a response ( 120902-014796 and 120905-00815). He has been unable to log in since the 2nd september. And of course he can’t Log in to post himself

As soon as the bank opens tomorrow if he hasn’t had a responce by then, he is going down and demanding a chargeback. Let the bank argue with Anet over it, brother is certainly past the point of caring to be patient any longer!

Honestly there are only 300 replies in this thread so far, how hard is it to sort that out?
surely it should take 5 people less then 6 hours to get those tickets moving?
I know I’m already pretty frustrated at going on 6 days since being banned for no clear reason and no resolution in sight.
most of the people I was playing the game with are now lvl 30+ which is very annoying since until my mysterious ban we were doing the content together.
I’m really pretty well over GW2 completely, the only service I’ve ever had in a game worse then this was in the beginning of AOC where tickets would only be answered while u were online and if you weren’t online when they were answered CS would close the ticket.
thats a pretty low bar …
So I’m not sure if anyone else tried to “verify” their account in the log in screen when first starting the game, but it seems a bit odd that I lost my account shortly after doing that and also never received an email to verify the account…

I really dont understand this situation I didn’t put my password anywhere but logon to my account using luncher.
I don’t understand why I didn’t receive confirmation email first before changeing account.

My husband received an email this morning stating that his account name had been changed and now he can no longer log into the game, post on forums etc, his account has obviously been hacked.

How long will this process take before he is able to play again? i have checked the forums and some people are saying that have been waiting 5+ days for a game that has only been released for a little over a week, my advice is for people not to place any credit card details on their accounts until the security has been improved, maybe by using an authenticator application…..
Hello, so my friend posted on here for me but since its been almost another day I figured I should post myself since i finally figured out how to add my serial code to my account so I can actually reply in this forum.

Since I have added my serial number my 4 digits next to my name have changed. Not sure it it matters but before hand(when I sent the tickets) my username was elegen.5243
Im going to reply to my ticket after I post this to update that I now have my serial code attached and all I need is for my account to be un-banned. Hopefully because of this post or my email reply my account will finally get un-banned since its now been a week since I first started emailing. (Haven’t gotten an email back since Saturday which was the automated reply for my new ticket about priority).
Last thing, should I make another ticket since I still don’t have the right priority? On the forums it says don’t submit multiple tickets but in this link(http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Game_status_updates) it says to reply if not prioritized right. Also, should I be replying to the original ticket or the new updated ones?

Yes, you should keep it clean because it is difficult to work on such cases (found info in this subforum few days ago, you can use search function).

The majority are on here complaining about the support and how long it takes… This forum is here to put your case nr. And state what happened…. I was also banned, PERMABAN by the glorious Banhammer.
But in the end, I check the thread to see for updates, because its still a good game, and I want to continue playing it. From any business standpoint you will be able to see that the support team is not just sitting back and laughing, because im sure their directors would have a word with them… So hopefully since the forums opened they realized how serious this matter is, and we will get a better response now.
In the meantime let us try and keep faith in them? /my 5c

I entered a serials at 2 diffrent emails seeming i didnt see how to do it on one but as that was supposed to be done i now want my serial of the entire game placed on my good email adress which i have used for gw 1 aswell.
The email adresses account names and serial keys are all in the updated ticket.
Gaile, I’m hoping we can get my account taken care of today. I have been blocked for 7 days now. my original ticket is 120830-007345 and I reprioritized based on your guidlines days ago and have still not recieved any response (other than the automated ones) I have followed all of the advice given, and now I can’t even log onto support using the account in question. Please fix this.
I understand that you are all trying to get a handle on the hacking issue, but you guys need to get the people who got blocked out of the game for no good reason back in too.

I received an email from ArenaNet; they changed my log-in credentials and said that I should be able to log-in now. Well. I can—just not to the game. I’m still banned.

Iam speaking on behalve of my brother, he awaits help for 4 days he got nothing in his ticket number 120902-011447 , 1st after 4 days ago u again ask to prove the mail he got no emails with links , after that he started to get Error 9 and yeaserday he started to get Error that he doesnt have a game key AT ALL ….. he spoke to his retailer and recheked his key all is fine but still he cant play the game normally pls help us bring him back to game the ticket number again is 120902-011447

I’ve been waiting for 5 days now. Got perma banned for nothing, didn’t get any explenation why, just nothing. I wonder if I will ever be able to play GW2 again.
God, someone could answer me. If I got the message “This is the support. We banned you, cause we don’t like you”, then at least I would know WHY. But, i have no idea why am I perma banned, and if it’s because i was hacked, then for the love of Talos, answer my tickets.

Us too. banned with no warning, no explanation and honestly – no infraction that we can figure out. I gave up and purchased another copy and I’ll fight it out with them later. This is one gigantic mess and I hope they can regroup and come back from it. Seriously lost some faith in the company at this juncture. Hope you guys get your accounts back soon.
mine are from 8/30 and 9/02 I did get a response on the 8/30 one…but at that time they were just trying to get into my account on 9/02 they got it and i have not been able to log in since.
Jokingly used a ‘racist’ term in chat while helping someone choose what stats to stack, no offence was intended, instant 3 day suspension.

I received an e-mail saying that my e-mail had been changed from Guild Wars 2. I went through the steps listed on the webstie, and then received another e-mail detailing to reply with my Guild Wars 2 account name, my display name and my serial code. All of which I did. I have received no response, and I am unable to log into the forums because my e-mail address is not a valid Guild Wars 2 e-mail.
The e-mail was changed by someone who is not me, and this person is still using the account after multiple support tickets being sent in.
My brother and I have been playing Guild Wars 2 for a while, but we believe my brother’s account has now been hacked; several days ago, in fact, on Monday the 3rd of September, when he was unable to log into his account, whether through the game client or in the forums.
He has filed a ticket (Number: 120904-010423), but there’s been no reply, so they might have changed his account email address.
He’s trying to chase this up, but we’re finding it hard to find ways to contact Arena.Net. Any help he could get from the community on how to contact Arena.Net, or any support from them on here, would be greatly appreciated!

When I woke up my account was banned for selling/advertising gold selling.
