My account might of been hacked. I get this message when i log in. “Your account has been terminated for engaging in or assisting with gold or items sales for real-world money.”
I’ve NEVER done that and never will!

I logged off late at night and when logging in the next day i was banned.

So my acount was baned, not sure why never bought or sold gold, did buy 15 gems using the market trade in game and did try to trade two silver for 8 bone shards, any know why they would ban me for that, or how long it takes to get an answer on tickets, and does anyone know why the only thing you get a quick reply form guild wars staff is on the forums?

She received an email reply just today claiming “resolved” that included a new password for her to login with (with the new email address she created to use with her GW2 account). This password is not working. She still cannot play the game.
The error code (3002:1008:1:462) states “The email address you entered was not found. If you have an active account, please try again.”. She checked her email address and it is correct, based on what the admin’s resolution email says.
She only changed her account’s email because of suspicious emails she was receiving and that is what GW2 told her to do!
Please help her…it has been 3+ days of no play, no fun.

I found out Friday night my account had been hacked and perma banned. Put ticket in that afternoon. Since I have updated to more secure email and pw for my account.

Was freaking out to be honest, because it said I was banned for gold selling, with no clue I was hacked until I saw my email stated someone was trying to login from China.

Anything you can do to speed up the process would be great.

Hello,

I’m posting this on behalf of my friend Kaon Lowe.7218 who’s been unable to access any part of the game since the 30th. He’s tried every time you’ve said the email authentication has been fixed. He’s submitted three seperate tickets on the issue as per your specific instructions to accellerate his ticket and still no change.

To restate, Kaon is unable to log in because he isn’t getting the authentication email and thus cant get in to change the email adress so that he can log in.

I hope you can help him quickly as the last few days has not been pleasant for him.

Come on NCSoft. I was hacked on August 29th and I am still locked out of my account. You sent me a new password 3 days ago to reset my account and when I tried it (multiple times), it told me that it was an invalid password. My old password still works so that means you never even really reset it. I have been trying to tell you in my support tickets but you never response. I have been out of game for a week. Fix this please!

I am just guessing…but one team is working on restoring hacked accounts while another is busy tracking down gold spammers and what not and while your account was in the hackers hands they did illegal things and the second team banned you right after the first restored you…just my guess

He has submitted three tickets relating to his account being hacked by gold sellers, and has only received one response about something entirely unrelated. The ticket numbers are as follows: 120831-017385, 120903-008371, 120904-010682. No account access since the 31st, and your wiki said everyone who has submitted a ticket before the 1st has been helped. Please escalate and respond to these tickets.

That’s one of the problems. Sending three tickets is delaying his response. The team will assist him after the tickets are reviewed and merged. I cannot give a timeframe at present.

You guys really need to get your act together… I’m getting crapped on and I’m following literally all of the instructions you’ve given, and NOW I’m getting conflicting instructions. I was the second reply in this thread, and I still have received NO CONTACT. Also, falsely advertising that ‘all tickets submitted prior to 9/1 have been completed’ is just wonderful. I would have performed a chargeback by now if I had not bought this off of Amazon – I’ve spent more time banned than I have playing since release.

Why does this thread even exist if you still haven’t even helped the second guy to post in it? Best of luck to everyone who posted after the first page.

Hi there, my friend’s account was permanently banned initially, then changed to 72 hours after the appeal. However, after the 72 hours period, he couldn’t log in to his account, saying the password is incorrect; 11:0:2:1708.

He then submitted a support ticket on that issue, yet has not been able to get any response from the support team. He couldn’t log in even to the forum so I’m posting it here for him.

its definately one big chinese cluster **** Luckily I had only played for one night and hadnt decided on a main toon yet so will only lose lvl 17 stuff at worst…but if i get my account back and then get banned then VISA will be getting a call to get my money back….I should have done that already and just started a new account but I decided to give them a few days to sort it out, the few days i can actually play seriously and had lined up for GW2 are already lost ( i had 48 hours set a side no kids, no work, no plans) so another day or so wont kill me but I feel the frustration

Permanently Banned for no reason and want an answer

Well as the title says my account has been banned permanently for no reason. I have know idea why I have been banned only got to play the game for 3 days. I didn’t say much on chat other than hello, have a good day and danced. I also just did quests in the Asura area. I have two Asuras level 12 necro and level 11 ele. I also have two humans a level 2 mes and a level 4 thief. I went to log into my account on the 31st of August and said permanently banned. I use a different password for each of my game accounts on blizzard, tribes ascend and GW2 but all under the same email with a 24 character long password. I wasn’t involved in the norn exploit and only found out about it when I jumped on the net to see the problems with my account. I did have the one problem with my account that when I sent the authentication email it kept failing till I tried it once my account was banned and said it was a successes which I thought was a bit strange. I have submitted the problem to the Guild wars 2 support team on the 31st when my account was hacked but didn’t get much of an answer only that we have received your email. I left it for a couple of days as I knew they would be busy but found out other people were getting help and support on there problems straight away (like a day) where here is me getting no help or support in this situation and it makes me want to cry a little. Its like I have been put in the deep end with no answers at all. :‘( All I want is some help from support to get my account restored or an answer to why my account has been permanently banned.
TL:DR: no response in help wise from the guild wars 2 support team in 5 days about my account being banned for no reason. :’(

Your friend provided the information that the team needed just yesterday. (I’m reviewing the ticket.) I think that he does not have a valid retail serial code, but rather a pre-purchase or pre-order code to which he needs to add the retail code.

However, I’ll let an agent respond for certain.

the basics of what happend are as follows:
when creating my account i miss typed the email addy in some way so i have no access to log into my account ive been waiting 4 days i got a respose saying my email was linked etc, i tried it and to no avail…it doesnt work…it still says the email cannot be found now im stuck waiting again and its been 5 hours :/ i really want to play already and dont want to wait another 4 days when i should already be playing >.< as per the wiki i dont know if i should re submit or leave it be…i just want my email linked to my account so i can log in i submitted first thing in the am Saturday now im being told all of saturday was done when i was only looked at 5 hours ago and im still not moved to a “resolved” status something is wrong with this picture…

Just had to submit ANOTHER ticket because apparently my hacked account ticket from the 1st Sept was not prioritised correctly (after following the instructions for a proper hacked account ticket on the offical support site).

Edit: ticket # is 120905-001623 in case any of the GW2 staff are ever going to look at it.

My daughter is having MAJOR account problems. We have begged and pleaded for assistance, left phone numbers with support, and with little to no contact (via email only) in return. I am having to post this for her because of the account being locked out…it says she doesn’t have an account. Even her old Guild Wars 1 account is croaked thanks to this! It is starting to feel like a waste of money here…..please help!

I’ve been banned since August 31st midday, I’ve had my ticket in for four days now with no response, I really wanna play!

I’m actually not sure how or why I was banned, I was doing some personal story quests when all of a sudden I got a build error saying I was terminated for inappropriate behaviour. Then it tells me that I was banned due to RMT (which I didn’t do!!). Community managers on Facebook told me I was hacked but I don’t see how, I still have complete control over my account and I was playing when I got banned. I just wanna play again I love your game, been waiting years to play it!!

I don’t know if I was banned as a result of being hacked, but I do know that when I played on Saturday morning, my character was on the server Underworld, and not Gate of Madness where it should have been. (at least, according to the wvw stats screen) I figured maybe it was a glitch or whatever, and disregarded it. When I tried to log in again Saturday evening, I discovered I was banned.

Been awaiting a reply ever since.

I came home on 08/31/12 to find a message stating that my account was terminated for engaging in or assisting with gold or item sales for real-world money. I have not done so and there were a couple of thousand (literally) emails in my inbox about someone trying to access my account from China. Have not heard anything back after filing my ticket. Hope I can get my account back soon, I was enjoying myself!

Also, is it possible to change emails after the fact?

Was perma-banned for “advertising an inappropriate website” – I don’t even advertise LFG, so I know I didn’t advert for an RMT site. Logged-out of game on 8/27 to relog, could not log back in. Immediately changed account password and pwd to email address. Was told 8/31 that I should be able to login again – could not. Launcher still tells me I’m permanently banned. Updated original ticket. Was told ticket was being escalated. No further word.

My account was compromised on the 27th of Aug, and it was restored on the 4th of Sept. But it was, and still is banned for conducting gold selling activities and I am still unable to log into the game.

She was hacked a couple weeks prior, and although her account had been supposedly returned to her possession after she changed her Email and the like, she still cannot access it. She’s had her ticket open for about a week now, with no reply.

Not to be rude, but isn’t a week enough? She’s really distraught, and doesn’t even know what state her account is in.
