Which issue? The creating a character fail or the disconnects?

Who knows, they will probably just keep posting the issue is fixed now while its not.

At least they have someone posting they are ‘working’ on it.

I am now getting a new error; 1010:6:6:419:101

it says I am not connected to the internet, yet I can clearly see that I am.
Grumble Grumble.

My game seems totally broken now, party request from no one which i cant accept or deny, guild went from 400 people to empty and error code 42:1000:9001:4131:101. Nice pro fix anet :P

Getting DC every 2 min, cant play at all.. Whats going on????

Very nice, i decided to play all day www, activated bd booster and many other stuff too and now all the time goes to queuing to borderlands and waiting for the next dc…. Not very impressive to get response about this issue like 10 hours after it started happening…

Support keeps giving the EXACT same answer “The issue you were experiencing was an intermittent issue and should be resolved”. Sadly, I still get disconnected.

Game’s been working for 1 hour or so now. Thank you for fixing it.

For me, the playability of this game is maybe 2/10 at the moment… login server issues, constant disconnects and I cannot even see guild chat without a five-minute delay.
What on earth is going on?! I would love to have at least an acknowledgement of the issues as would many others.

Soooo any news on how this is going? Haven’t been able to play since yesterday 7 pm my time. It is now 2:40 pm here and still can’t play.

Getting random disconnects today. I have sent in a support ticket with game advisor log attached to it so will see what the reply is. This is getting really annoying now and it never happened to me prior to the Queens Jubilee patch.

I’ve the same problem, idk if just my provider or it’s the game, but i’ve random disconnects all 5 minutes. I’ve sent a support ticket.

Really? Nothing new on this? I haven’t been able to play for 2 freaking days now. I would really appreciate if we got a reply on wth is happening. Are they working on fixing it?

little update from myself, I wasn’t able to play 2 days ago as any of you here but yesterday was totally fine, haven’t tried today though.

I just started having the issue this morning.

Not funny at all, bought this a few hours ago, was pretty excited but then this…. Bad first impression.

Confirmed-
Bought a copy in the household hours ago and cannot create new characters. My account (over a year old), can log in with old characters fine-but it cannot create new characters either.

Sounds like the character database server is having hardware or connectivity issues.

It took us 2 days (without counting having to pause the download) to reinstall this game. Finally have it downloaded, and I am pretty excited because my fiance offered a character slot of his on his account to let me experience the game and to see if I liked it. I have been a long-time player of the original Guild Wars and have been itching to see how this one is in comparison. Tried creating a Sylvari Elementalist and first got the error code 42:0:0:0:101… After I clicked okay, it told me it was possibly my internet (1010:6:6:419:101). I have shut my internet on/off, and was about to screw with the firewall when I decided to take down the error codes and search it on google. Good thing, too. Not just on my end! Hopefully this gets resolved quickly! Some people aren’t as patient as I am!!

I’m about to give up on this game now. Getting random disconnects again today and this has been going on now for well over a week.

First time I logged on today I was in a major town and just walking around when I suddenly died! I bled out but couldn’t respawn at a waypoint and the only option I had was to quit the game.

well, today I played and it was totally fine for me^^, I haven’t tried to make new char though and I think that this is totally separate issue.

This is honestly Making this game unplayable for me, I really like the games so far, i just bought it the other day and for the first time im able to Sit down and devote a good 6-7 hours to this game…im 45 minutes and and getting DC’d between 30 seconds and 2 minutes..its Impossible to play and im ready to just Chalk this game up as garbage.

Welcome to my world. I’ve been having this code for over a month since the Atherblade update. Before that, the game ran smooth and I never disconnected. Sometimes I am able to play for hours without super lag/ disconnecting. Other times I get super lag/ disconnected every 5 min. My connection is fine and if it was a firewall or some other software on my computer, I would never be able to play this or any game AT ALL. Just was disconnected with at least 5 credit of kills in wvw, oh well, lol. Support ticket doesn’t help. New content bugged? Servers need resetting? Overloaded? dunno…

Possible Fix***

I had this issue forever until I realized I never properly set up my home network. Once I ticked it over to ‘home network’ the problem went away. I think it’s the public default setting that GW2 doesn’t like.

Just click the network icon in the system tray and click ‘open network and sharing center’. Make sure is says Home Network and not Public.

Hope that helps, that’s such an annoying error. I used to run in circles and hop around like a madman in a vain attempt to not get booted.

I’d never had this problem before, and it’s not related to home network at all.

I have no problems with my ISP, my firewall, or anything internet related, and it appears this only affects one of my characters, so this is clearly a problem on Anet’s side.

Answers would be welcome, or any hints on what we could do.

For the record, i already flushed my dns and restarted my modem.

yep jus spent the last hour getting disconnected every 5 minutes. it’s weird i played all day then i started getting nailed by this error.

So I haven’t played since launch. Decided to come back to gw2… and It went fine for the first 2-3 days, then my buddy had this error. We were WvWing and I was lagging a bit in the zerg and he found a fix for his, and he even said it lessened the lag. So I was like what could it hurt I’ll just do the fix too, and it will lessen my lag. I was wrong. I now get this error on the regular. Even after reverting the fix. c’mon a.net don’t send me away again.

Having the same problem. Have had the problem since the last patch. Constant random disconnects. Never had problems before that. I tried removing my router altogether. I tried connecting to different networks altogether, still the same problem. I hope this gets fixed soon. The waypoint and repair bills for disconnecting in combat are adding up…

Yep, as of yesterday, I’ve been experiencing the same random disconnects and/or severe lag spikes (mostly the former). A fellow guildie out of California (same as me) claimed the same issues, while others online at the same time from other locations noted they were having no issues. May or may not mean anything, but worth mentioning.

Same issue here. Bypassed modem, scanned for viruses, updated driver, got new modem, turned off firewall. Play side by side with my wife. I DC every 2-5 minutes, she had disconnected only twice today. Uninstalled and reinstalling now. Hopefully that works. Will have to figure out what my old driver was (3D does not work anymore…).

Glorious it’s back. Getting constant disconnects aswell. AGAIN.

And here too, was in the Mists, dc 3 times in 5 minutes. Investigate more..

4 times now, in 10 minutes. Not one, four…i so tired of you anet, so kittenin tired, i really apreciate when i pay for something doesn’t work. Thx.

Been experiencing this issue for months now with no improvement. Seems to be getting worse.

I can’t progress in personal story at all because I always DC and get removed from the instance. This is one example of many problems that occur as a result of this issue.

Please prioritize fixing this issue.

Same here – it started yesterday after months of no problems and tonight I can’t go more than 20 mins without a DC. It’s particularly bad when in an Story instance. I’m on a reliable 80mbs BT connection so it’s not my connection.

Can we get ANYONE to talk to us about this ?

I’ve had disconnects regularly again today. I’ve tried the port forwarding advice and updated drivers – seriously getting fed up and kitten many are suffering from this it must be from ANets end?

I am having this problem, and I am trying to do Super Adventure Box Tribulation… with disconnects it is really hard to progress!!!

+1, can’t even get past pressing “Play” upon character selection. Don’t get any errors, but the client simply doesn’t respond (IE infinite latency).

today was some small patch and my warrior stuck in Malchor’s Leap all other char. are ok but warrior get error code 5:11:3:159:101 when i add command -repair same but when i add /clientport 80 code 7:11:3:191:101

now my second char. stuck in Malchor’s Leap =) i tested wp char. now it stuck
