have same problem, most of day was everything ok but since 7-8 pm, heavy lag and shortly after DC to character select with this error every 15-20 minuts, I can immediately click on my character and continue playing like nothing happened, no problems with computer and internet 120/5 optic, ping to uk servers +-6, no packet loss, a lot of friends got same problem all over europe in last few days

same happens to me, especially in pvp, random super lag spikes, then dcs, WvW is also affected, but pve runs fairly smooth (except some random dcs here and then)
pvp is unplayable though

I have a similar problem. I got a nice, new pc, so nothing is wrong with the performance.
But I found realy strange error. When I go to a large event, where we must kill a boss and a lot of people come, my game suddenly stand down and I get the “send log” window. When I try to go back, I get to the loading screen. But in the minute the map is loading, I got kicked out again. And this is going and going, till the event is not over. When the event is over, i can log back.
I tired to run as administrator and as not an administrator, but that’s not help. What is this?

Kept DCing right before Teq’s death… Missed out on numerous rewards Invested my whole day trying to get any rewards from at least one fight out of 5+ of them. All of the overflows i was in succeeded and all of them… I missed out on rewards due to this error code. >_> been like this since the gauntlet patch.

I frequently have problems where zoning into Caledon Forest or The Grove results in me being DCed and given this error code and any characters in those zones are inaccessible for some time. Other characters can be used during this time most times it happens but not always.

I’m from UK and i’m have the same problem from 17/09/2013 with error code 7:11:3:191:101. How do they think anyone trying the game out is going to stay when problems like this take way too long to fix and make game almost unplayable.
I’ve been trying to log in for about an hour with same message as soon as game loads this is starting to really annoy me fix it soon please or i might have to move on to a game i CAN play.

i enjoy this game… when it works.

sadly though this game is becoming an epic failure at the rate these random disconnects, epic lag, and other problems are occurring. instead of releasing more new content that no one can really play due to these problems how about focusing on fixing these problems so that people can actually enjoy the new content when it comes out?

I’ve the same problem can play for 5-10 mins then disconnected (usually after 9pm gmt+1). I’ve already tried to conctact support but they said “try to speak with your provider support, fix your provider, it’s a packet loss problem”. My internet is fine, i don’t have issues with social networks and other games.

This is the email I received by a staff regarding this issue after sending them a record of my connection using Ping Plotter; it may apply to some or most of you:

“Thanks for getting back to us. I’m thinking this is a connection related issue, not necessarily something with your immediate network or even your ISP but something with one of the server hops your connection goes through on it’s way to us. We’re not seeing any issues with the servers being reported and we’re not getting any indications from players that there’s anything going on ( when something is wrong with the server or client, our support inbox explodes). What I hope to see with the proxy is if your connection takes a different path if it improves. If it does then the issue is somewhere in between and it may be difficult to pinpoint/resolve but ultimately you would have to go through your ISP as they are the ones who dictate what path your connection takes to reach any given destination, like our servers. If the proxy has no effect and you suffer the same issues then that would mean something is effecting the connection before it’s able to reach the proxy server so it would be limited to either your local connection, your computer or something with your ISP directly.”

Same as everyone, constant disconnects, i have ping plotter running and i do get packet loss(lag) of 10%-20% through Dallas but thats hardly a cause for disconnects every 10 mins?

Neither, It’s the hamster wheel that Level3 are using to run the routers in Dallas, there is a bottleneck there for people coming in from overseas(maybe for locals as well?).

Partly my own fault i guess not thinking about the fact im trying to play a game whose servers are located smack bang in the middle of the US so id be routed through some craptastic network.

I route though San Jose(why cant the servers be here ffs) -> Los Angeles -> Dallas(grrrrrrrr), then to this IP 4.59.197.34 which IP lookup tells me is still in the Dallas(Level3) hamster wheel area. It’s the last IP i hit before the Arenanet network.

This started for me after the Twilight patch and has been a tremendous irritation since. Disconnects at the worst time (as if any time was good). I have run game repairs and have found errors which were fixed however I continue to get this issue.

I have a support ticket in at the moment – having the same issues as others above. Gets to the loading screen for the area your going into and freezes then kicks you off after about 2 minutes of trying to load you in.

Interestingly enough this only happens with one character – others all work fine. Have tested them in the same areas minutes apart and and its purely my main character that has the issue.

2.5 hours of testing this evening running ping plotter in a few different scenarios with a couple of different characters. (The scientist in me was going into overdrive lol).

Main character is a nightmare and unplayable at the moment (apart from a 45 minute window which just so happened to correlate with when Scarlets minions event kicked off and I could suddenly play with not a single issue on my main character in lions arch which ive not been able to load into for days).

Other character not a problem at all.

My husband, who happens to work in IT support, took a look at the traces and everythings fine until it gets to ANets end then it has 100% packet loss and fails. I know its not our end or the ISP otherwise my other characters would be having issues as would my husbands.

No issues with any other games – purely this one character on this game.

On the upside though support have been very helpful so far.

Here are my symptoms:

1. This ONLY occurs in crowded maps, like Lion’s Arch. If I go to a low-population map, everything is fine. but if there is high player activity, I get the “lag” (for lack of better term).

2. I am not experiencing real lag. Chat updates properly, I can see other people moving correctly, and I can receive boons from them. Anything that requires my client to communicate to the server, however, takes an extreme amount of time (sometimes up to 30 seconds if at all) to be transmitted. Skills won’t fire, I can’t talk to NPCs, and I can’t use waypoints being the primary ones.

3. Eventually I get disconnected with error code 7:11:3:191:101 (Game client could not communicate with the server and timed out). But again, this only happens in crowded zones where the server is managing a lot of players at once. As stated above, the symptoms point to severe packet loss on the server side.

In layman’s terms, the server is too busy with other clients and forgets that my client is trying to communicate with it as well, my packets get ignored and I get dropped.

This started manifesting after the latest hotfix patch.

I’m getting this same error. since new update. It makes the game unplayable. Does not matter which map it is either. all cities and all maps. it would be great if I could play by the time Nightmare Tower releases but I not gonna hold my breath.

Been getting 7:11:3:191:101 errors roughly ever 20-30 minutes this afternoon it seems. Happens in Orr and LA.

Never had them with this frequency before.

Edit: After rebooting I did not have any further issues.

I’ve been having this same problem for the past 3 days but here’s the catch: it only happens with one of my characters such that I can play my other characters (i.e. my main character – a Sylvari Mesmer).

I was first given this solution which worked for a few hours:

*Please go to your shortcut for Guild Wars 2 and right click it and choose properties.
*In the line that says Target, add a space at the end of whats there and then -prefreset
*It should look something like this: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -prefreset

I hope this gets fixed ASAP since I’m missing a lot of events with my Mesmer
