Well, by strategic class I mean a class whose effectiveness depends on the player’s gaming skills; right timing for certain skills etc.

So yeah, how is Aurora Glade, is the population of the server increasing/decreasing? Are the new players welcome there? And are there players in every zone or are most of the players at the max level? Sorry if there’s something u don’t understand, not so sure about my English at the middle of the night.

I have just started to play GW 2 and now that I have tried a bit of every class I have ended up to start leveling a guardian and an engineer. Can u tell me is guardian considered as OP or something in groups? I’m just wondering cause I have experienced that attitude in some other MMOs when playing guarding-type classes… Is it easy to get to a group with guardian? And, is guardian considered as “too easy”, hack-and-slash kind of class to play? I know people who like guards of course don’t think so, and people who avoid playing the class probably agree with the statement. Still, I would like to hear some opinions.
Oh, and since a guard is a tank class (that’s how I have understood it) should I choose a bigger sized race or can I choose whatever I like?

The title tells it all: Is the lore and environment of the charr zones gloomy? And by gloomy I mean a dark, rugged place with no much of green, something with some dark, dull colors… I hope u know what I mean. :p
Oh, and how variable is the lore when comparing charr zones with each other? Is the vegetatio and fauna all the same from lvl 1-80?
So now u can see how important visuals are for me… :p I just started playing GW 2 and I ended up creating a charr as my first character and so far the visuals are looking great to me.

I’m completely new to this game and I would have some common questions about crafting.
1. Is crafting here in GW 2 a huge grind? I’d like to craft some stuff but I have pretty bad experiencies about very grindy crafting systems in some other MMOs.
2. Also, is it a must to craft in GW 2? For example I think I’m going to make my own armour and jewelry, are crafted items significantly better compared to umm let’s say armour pieces u can purchase from merchants? Can u play well without crafted items?
3. If I won’t craft my armour and/or jewelry, is there other ways to obtain armour? If so, which ways? Will it become expensive?
