So we use the unpopulated parts in LFG!!! Its just broken as a whole, i dont even exlude it wasnt intentional too, so it might take a very long time to be returned to normal

hey all,

I dont know if any of you remember this site: http://www.gw2lfg.com/ for looking for group before the LFG tool was added to the game. I think with this new blinking addition to the LFG, maybe we can return to use that site… before we go blind or have some serious damage done to our eyes

Because honestly I dont think this will get attention from bug fixes team soon, because the feet splattering was more more important to fix!! Ironically the LFG now dont have (beta) anymore.

So do you think we can promote that LFG site?

Rox and Braham fractal bug

Apparently there is a bug that happen sometimes in this fractal that when you reach to the weapon testing room it doesn’t move forward to the next step.

No matter what the group did/tried it just stuck and we had to reset the whole run. Its more annoying since this fractal comes in 2nd fractal out of the 4.

Excellent work done there. I run fractals a LOT on all levels everyday, although I don’t have the numbers recorded like you did but i have noticed the same thing. Got more ascended chests and skins pre-patch than after patch.

I have to say I have never seen a more unrewarding game like this when it come to loots.

I wont have high hopes of a fix too, as this will make players happier (not Anet style). Over the past year I have seen many shortcut fixes in fractals yet the ones that get you stuck in terrains and bother your play are still existing. They Nerfed the zooms at bosses like on shaman so the player have a harder time seeing the boss attacks, a bit off topic for drops but to show how Anet choose what to fix and what not. They just like to grow the resentful players base they have.

When we will see that ranger fix update?

I agree with all of these points. I can add to them that if the target move a bit to your side if it get in close combat it breaks the skill use. Also some of the pet skills if ordered from out of range they go on full cooldown even though they didn’t do that attack because out of range, instead the pet should move to range and execute the command. Also Anet said they made pet execute the command F2 immediate, I find sometimes it does some other times it don’t (maybe small bug).

Overall, its about time ranger get a real fix instead of sitting on the lowest lvl of the food chain.

The advice given in Map Chat was not bad advice. Bear + Bow in PVE does make leveling very easy. As for what is the ‘best’ or ‘worst’ build it’s really all just nothing but opinion and personal preference.

I ran Bear + Bow when I first started and eventually found combinations better for me. Personally, I think Drakes tank as good as bears but bring more DPS. Plus their tail swipe is a blast finisher inside the healing spring so that’s another plus.

If I see a Ranger running a Bear, I don’t just assume they are bad and neither should anyone else. I have had quite a few players surprise me in both positive and negative ways, you can’t just judge them by their pet or their weapon choice. People should spend more time worrying about what they are doing and less time worrying about how others play the game. A lot of good Rangers have started off using this combination and learned better methods as they played more. Nothing wrong with newer players taking the easiest path to learn a class.

I wish this game have more players with this mentality.

Every class including rangers have a lot of options stats and traits or pets. They are there for people to try and choose what makes them enjoy that class more; that’s what games are about after all. There is no meta (imo currently meta is most used to gather subscribers on youtube or to feed hungry egos) the real meta is a skilled player that knows what the situation requires.

Daily reset bugged

I have the same thing, daily dungeons, fractals and crafting laurels etc… didn’t reset since after 15 april although the daily chest of completing 5/5 i am getting but without laurels or anything else, just the coin karma potion and green luck. also when the hour passes my daily usually have 2 or 3/5 done even i didn’t do any activity yet

I did want to post in the feedback specialized threads but the subjects are so interlinked that i ended up discussing different topics than the feedback topic. So i’ll just collect them here. (apologies if that makes the persons collecting feedback work a bit more or for language mistakes)

1. Traits system for leveling new characters: The new system gimps low levels and creates a larger gap between 80 and low levels. i.e. welcome to more instant kick players lower than level 80. The game design through the downscaling aims to close the gap between level differences and this works totally against that, as the real strength of chars is in the builds. Further this choking of traits on low level will discourage players from leveling new alts. Suggestion: make the trait system opposite of what it is now. reward most of the traits at lower levels and have like 2-4 traits for the final 10-20 levels. This will make players more familiar with their class design and potential (it also works really well combined with the instant re-trait new system), also will close the gap even better between level differences and encourage different levels to play together again in dungeons instead of instant kicks.

2. Nerfing Crit Damage: The pre-patch notes said a 10% total damage output, but when a build has 80%+ crit chance the total nerf is around 30-40% in the total damage thats huge nerf. Personally i don’t mind giving room for different builds other than the berserker builds (that is good thing to open up the dead option builds). But this is an interlinked topic that cant be handled from a single side. It will definitely help in wvw, but… Did you remove the dps meters that you have put in many of your PVE contents? Did you raise the effectiveness of other stats? (most people go towards direct dps stats because the effectiveness of the survivability stats is just so low compared to higher dps) Did you fix the condition stacks on bosses which makes having more than 1 condition player start to lose effectiveness of the party? Did you tone down the HP of mobs or how hard they hit? (speaking mainly of high lvl fractals here) on the contrary you added more time limits to complete events which measures again to a more dps meter. Suggestion: Please handle this subject from all its sides not just pick the easiest option and nerf a certain stat to the ground.

3. Wardrobe: This system is really good addition to the game. However, losing the locker preview of skins or losing the 2 different looks per character for PVE/PVP was not needed. People get bored of the same look anywhere they go in the game. Players will hardly spend charges every time they go in PVP or switch back to PVE, which leaves them having multiple sets of armor and weapons cluttering their bags for this purpose. Also jumping in HotM and back to another map for bank isn’t really adding anything good. Suggestion: Make the PVP look separate than PVE look with an option to use your current PVE look, and about time to add a bank access in heart of the mist.

4. Megaserver: Though this is not fully yet experienced system, but please don’t turn this system into a more confusing one than the overflow where dialogues as: where did you land.. oh cant find you.. hold on not working to join there.. oh just forget it scenarios… etc…

5. Dungeon reward: If anything i heard from all of the players i met in this game is that the effort and time spent doesn’t match the item rewards at all (in fact i know quite a few that quit for other games because of this aspect). I don’t know how wise it is to nerf that thing even more.

The rest of changes personally i didn’t experience them well yet to comment but they look promising like buffing some useless runes and sigils into potentially better ones. more incentive for pvp, less grind for pvp ranks and account wide wvw exp. Though i really loved to see less grinding for ascended gears (especially in a game that promotes so many different builds and options) silk? dragonite ore? i’m sick of them

I liked the option of having 2 different looks for my toon one for PVE and another for PVP at the same time. Also liked how fast and easy to change my looks in PVP or test/preview new looks in the locker for items I don’t even have or didn’t even know they existed. Also i used some weapons in PVP that I didn’t use in PVE before due to different builds etc.

All these options are gone now. The wardrobe system in general is good but it took away with it some other very good stuff we had before.

People will get bored of seeing the same outfit for their toon everywhere they go in the game. And lets face it, very few players will not use charges that often as they used to change gears looks before. So this will create more bag cluttering for carrying all the weapons and multiple armor sets just for pvp change.

Also why there still isn’t a bank access in heart of the mist yet?? especially now that its become highly dependent on PVE items

Edit: I also don’t like how new amulet stat added have to be bought!!! if anything pvp lacked was the flexible option of stat distribution, adding new amulet stat types is good to provide more options but adding a fee to unlock is lame. Nevertheless that doesn’t solve the rigid choice of stats distribution in pvp.

I agree with this thread as well. The game is getting more boring and more grindy for nothing. Its like a bluff…

If I want to list I wouldn’t know where to start, though this whole thread has mentioned a lot of them especially the OP.

What is sad about it is that the team clearly have much potential to make things great. But for some reason it just doesn’t happen. Instead the team efforts were put into the living story which chewed on same ideas over and over till it got depleted really fast.

Help Save/Fix Pets

This is about pets in PVE mainly dungeons and bosses.

I have seen some posts on pets problems in PVE and a lot of these problems can be avoided by keeping an eye on your pet and commanding it properly to save the pet. yes i agree as ranger you have to care of 2 chars yours and your pet. In dungeons it becomes 3 you, your party and your pet.

But i have 2 serious problems that i couldnt solve,

First: is the red circles on the floor there is no means to command your pet to go out of a red circle and his AI doesnt even make it move from them which kills the pet very quickly (quicker than the time I have to switch between pets). The game shouldnt penalize my toon by killing my pet if it dont give me a way to save him in such situation.

Second: problem is sometimes i call my pet to return to save him and if i use his F2 skill while he is on return command he directly engage again as if its the F1+F2 skill even if the F2 skill is a buff like jungle stalker might or bear shake it off. F2 should be just F2 if the skill is not an attack skill or doesnt need a target. If i want him to go back to combat i would press F1

While the second problem seems easy to fix, the first one should be fixed somehow as well. i thought of these

  • Like make a pet in PVE invulnerable to red circles only.
  • Or Add an AI that makes pet run out of red circles to nearest safe spot.
  • Or pet take no damage from red circles if the master dodged or evaded these red circles

Anyone that might have possible solutions to these (other than go dungeons on different class than ranger :/ ) please share your opinions. Its a shame that most of the fights a ranger is followed stupidly by a dead pet that he has no control to save.

Please Anet consider these in your next patches.
