Why Orr brings out the worst in the "community"

Honestly, in my individual experience, I was disappointed in Orr by 1. lack of players, I was under the impression that many people were there as most of the lower zones were empty yet it doesnt seem so and 2. lack of big boss fights, I thought it was the final zone and there would be alot of huge fights going on, yet most of the champions I see are pretty lame. Hopefully the next high level zone they release will be more epic.

Things to do at 80?

I agree with Lightrayne’s post. For me the one thing that I do miss after reaching level 80 is having no more skills to unlock. Perhaps someday in the future they will add something where you can level up individual skills or maybe just add more in general? Im overall happy with the game but I do think the best part was exploring, leveling up and trying out the new skills. This is a good reason to consider leveling an alt. After leveling Necromancer to 80, trying out Engineer and Guardian is a whole new way of playing with a bunch of new skills to unlock and figure out. Perhaps you will like it better than your first class. As for the lack of people, perhaps look for a large guild to join. You could also try leveling up through crafting with your alt, using resources from your main. Once you get to 60+ you can complete the zones as they give good rewards. Who knows, if you get into PvP you could start a guild and lead a group into battle.

Active Death Shroud Healing (PvE / PvP support)

Death Shroud has saved me countless of times as well as provided health to allies with the right trait. Using it in combination with skills and traits which promote life force can really increase the amount of health you have between normal health, healing skill, life drain, (minions distracting enemies), death shroud, and soon again healing skill as well as ever increasing life force as you fight. Does it make you super powerful? No, but sometimes all you need to win a fight is enough time to spread your enemies thin, and being able to run, dodge, and avoid any damage with the methods above while hitting back with marks, minions, conditions, and ranged attacks can do the trick.

I like youre idea, I was thinking something along a similar line where you could go into death shroud and use a big chunk of life force to do a special attack or boon for those situations where being in DS isnt an advantage but you have full life force sitting there. Using it to lower cooldowns would also be a good use of life force imo.

I dont know what level you are but youre worrying way too much. If you just play the game, especially completing each zone 100% and doing dailies, then you will be just fine. I had the gold for all the skillbooks as I approached the levels needed, I had greens and some affordable yellows for most of the way up and it was perfectly fine, and I even invested in dyes and converted 1+gold to gems for a bag slot upgrade, as well as upgrading my bags to 12 slots and buying a few pricey minis I liked. What im getting at is, gold is not an issue at all unless you spend your time staring at stuff in the trading post. Just play the game as intended, focusing on doing the story quest and completing the various zones, and you’ll have no trouble getting to 80. Once you get to 80 you play the content and complete the world 100% in which time you will get the materials and gold necessary to complete your character goals such as crafting and gear.

Part of me agrees but I have indeed gotten used to it while doing searches. A preview option is definitely on my list though

You need to learn and master ALL of your characters traits including how they work with other players. Reset your points and try something different as well as all of the different weapon combinations. Once you master this you will realize you are a damage dealer, healer, tank, conditioner or a little of everything all at once, all you have to do is reset your points accordingly and learn how best to set them for certain situations. The guy argueing about losing the “holy trinity” doesnt seem to realize all of those roles are still in the game and can be changed to in a minute or two. Instead of rolling as a TANK you get to roll as a Guardian and spend your points to make the character you want to play as and change them as you see fit.
