What title says. Do I only get fossils from chests in higher tier? I’ve seen people getting a fossil in 10 chests or so. I’ve burned through about 50 so far, and no fossils whatsoever, only part 1 recipes. But I opened chests in 1-3 Tiers. Does current tier matter for chest drops?
Allow to mark favourite recipes and then choose to only show favourite in craft list.

23,735 HP is much more than I have on my decidedly non-zerker guardian. Even if I have a bit more toughness than zerker build, I build around being able to heal up continuously, and this thing will just burst me down.

Even if you can tank them they are still too few and far-between. And if I can get a party together, I doubt we`ll choose karkaland as a place to hang out. No real incentive. Most probably we will go high-lvl fotm or wvw. I only tried it as a source of T6 when none of my guildies are online and I have nothing better to do.
Well let`s see.. I`ve been there on karka event (obviously) and about every day while Ori node was still a rich one. Since they changed node quality, I`ve been there once, I needed T6 and decided to farm karkas for bloods. An hour and a half in I decided it is not worth my time and left. Haven`t been there since.
Reflecting their projectile does sometimes over half their health in damage
My engi shield 4 just insta-kills them. But as every other one-mob-type-farm, it is mind-numbingly boring, waiting on reflects CDs just makes it worse (though engi got two reflects if he`s lucky and interrupt on low-CD). And you cant even train and AoE them to make farm at least a tiny bit more interesting.

Have you? The “big” chest he mentioned, the one that contains the guaranteed rare, will be lootable once per account. The normal chests will be lootable per character then.
One rare is not that “big”, normal chest can give you much more, including a precursor. I might missed the point where you decided to dub small icon-ish chest with a rare as “big” (why on earth?… ) It should have been obvious from my post I am talking about BIG freaking chest that appears on the ground after the thing is dead. The one that used to give trash blues until the recent update, and now going to give trash blues again, apparently. So instead of overall better drop from a chest, with a guaranteed rare and better chance at more rares and exotics, you now going to get a guaranteed rare and trash blues from main on-ground chest.

I was under an impression they rehashed the loot to be higher quality, with a minimum of one rare. Now they change it to provide SINGLE rare via additional chest and bring normal chest rewards to the way they were before.
If I am right, then the loot will be godawful again, it is basically just a rare per event, close to zero chance for extra rare or exotic. Forget Final Rest if you ever wanted it.
All this because they are unable to make a chest lootable once a day per account.
Guardian should have a ranged option. Because scepter atm is not an option.
All engineer turrets should have 5sec invinsibility when dropped.
It`s not ok, it`s not moral, it IS stealing, but it WILL happen eventually. I only call out naive because you appeal to something that is only enforced by ethics. You say there will be consequences, but they are mostly insubstential for a thief:
1. Anet won`t give out bans because Guild Leader gave the rights on stash for that person;
2. Publically ostrasizing that person will have no effect – if he was immoral enough to steal, he doesn`t really care what people think;
3. Spreading the word so the person won`t be accepted in other guilds – won`t work, because not all the people read the forums; there will always be guilds that accept people without checking on them first. In time dust will settle and he will find a guild (new players won`t know him).
So, essentially nothing prevents the thief from stealing everything you have, except for his innate goodness. Which you believe to be enough of a guarantee. I find it amazingly naive.
Ok, ppl might laugh at me but i`ll post it anyway. I`ve been having terrible luck with ectos for a very long time. Some might unearth the screenshots I posted (3 ecto out of 10 salvaged 80 rares, etc), I had at most 0,7 rate of salvage. Usually it was around 0.5. I blamed DR-cursed account. I tried to amass at least 40 rares and salvage them at once to even out RNG distribution. Nothing helped.
Then my roomie comes over and seeing as I bang my head on my keyboard suggests to do my salvages for me. Like, click instead of me so I can stop blaming my luck for once and blame him, for instance.
Well, darn. His salvage rates (on my computer, my account, my mouse – he basically just clicked) are over 1.0. Sometimes up to 1.2-1.3.
I now just blatantly use him to do the clicking. It works all the time. I have no idea how that is happening really. Just thought I`d share.
Wow GW1 had some nice armors. Models are outdated, yes, but ideas are nice and I would very much like to see them ingame. Especially some of those “hero” armors (sorry didn`t play GW1 don`t know whats they about).
You are all nice and honourable people, but so naive it makes my eyes bleed. Haven`t any of you played any game before GW2? If there is even a slight chance you can be scammed, you WILL be scammed at some point.
Moreover, some person who “robbed your bank” might himself think he`s just taking what he is entitled for (like the example above of a co-leader taking half of guild stash).
Only keep your money in guild bank if you are ready to part with it.
It is the same droprate issue Anet dubbed as “resolved” last patch. Issue itself has not gone anywhere. It seems to be per-account, at least I am stuck with it permanently. I got tired of complaining on forums, but here`s the clue: try to write ingame support you`ve got a DR issue and ask them to remove it. You won`t get any answer, but I did it twice and after each time my drops improved drastically for about a week (then went back to non-drop).

Over 1000h on guardian, the class is only good as support/utility. It lacks dps terribly, it lacks any range damage for wvw, and i`ve seen warriors insta-gib guards if guard goes anything damage-wise in his gear (not a bunker). Bunker guards can outsurvive a lot of stuff but cannot kill anything, so he just survives until the point when an enemy gets a backup. Guard cannot run from a fight like thief/mesm, hell, even engie do. Basically guard is a buff-bot in pve/wvw.
I’d take either over the necro scepter with it’s 900 range; both of those have a base 1200.
Except you won`t land any hits at anything further than 400-600 (unless it`s completely stationary) due to non-homing slow projectiles.
Nonetheless, ranger longbow is just sub-par compare too ALL other ranger weapons.
Oh yeah? Here, take a Guardian scepter.
Funniest thing is, DR does not affect botters in any shape or form since they are able to teleport between locations at will.
Arena is obviously unable to provide an answer as to why DR is still in game, except to punish legit players and push them in direction of ingame shop.
Regardless my point is that it’s really difficult to run a big guild and keep your members a) logging in b) joining TS c) taking part in game events. Surely you must see that organising a guild with ten people would be a cake walk compared to guild with a hundred?
If you have 1000 people, you only need half of them to log in one day to get like 800 influence. You don`t have to organize anything. Smaller guild of say 3-5 ppl will need to do hell of a lot events and dungeons a day to get a comparable number.

We play together with my husband on the same server. As you can probably guess at that point, one of us (he) can log in just fine while the other one (me) can not. We use the same ISP (same IP). First I tried to /repair my client. Didn`t work. I tried to log in from his PC – I couldn`t log in either. He could log from my PC just fine. So, not a client or a PC problem. Next up was net errors. We restarted our router to get new IP. Same. Also, my husband was able to login after IP change without getting email that he should confirm new IP to login.
There is also another pair playing in my guild, they have exact same trouble – only one of them can login.

They never said Carrion is one of those stats they are going to introduce. Remember they said they are releasing 30 types of amulets that will “fit any playstyle”? Might be the same thing now. Mixed stats no one would want.
They also never said WHEN they are releasing it.
Most likely a person with Knight’s will be lacking crit damage, so these rings are incredible.
You guys just need to think outside the box.
Point is, you seem to only think in damage/armor terms. Whereas for many builds high precision is not aimed at damage. It is aimed at providing on-crit utility, like might buff for example. I assure you, that meager +%critdamage (to my damage only) would never compare to the amount of additional damage from might-on-crit I give out to myself and all my party members. And that`s just one example. So. Who`s not thinking outside the box?
It is like if you buy 100 lottery, you have a good chance to get the prize than you buy 1 lottery. More loot = more chance to get rare item (as you have 100 chance). But as in lottery, you may also lose all.
I`d rather people don`t post if they have no idea of the basics of MF. MF does not increase the amount of loot you get, it only increases rarity of the item you get.

I`m afraid you just hit DR and decreased loot you are getting has nothing to do with transmutation.

What is the source of your info? I rather think you just made that up as a lame excuse for Anet bug.
I`d write a support ticket if I were you. I went through the whole month of DR then wrote to support and had DR lifted off of me (they never wrote back, but DR was gone). It would only help for a while though, DR will return some time after, but you`ll have a bit of time to level up.

Anet randomizer is bugged but I doubt they will ever look into it and fix it, same with the loot and DR issue.
It`s working like that since Novmber patch for a lot of people. Infamous “percieved” decrease in loot due to DR.
As a guardian I have a knockback on 2 Downed. When I go down and I see that knocking enemies down will be detrimental to my party (mobs are inside of the fields etc), I don`t use it.
So, if you are feeling 2 skill would involve undesired consequences – dont use it. You have other three.
I did thought it was curious when prices on T5 dropped but ecto prices did not. Now I know why.
That is exactly why we need a dev to answer. None of these questions have any logical or consistent replies from a player`s PoV.
Well, let them say it to my face then.
If that is the direction the game is taking from now on there is no point in playing certain classes. Thief can actively avoid damage as much as a guardian, if not better (aegis only blocks one attack while extra dodge/stealth can avoid indefinite number of them), but will deal way, WAY more damage.
Why isnt Anet responing to this?

Hah, we waited for over a month for an answer on loot drop issue and got shafted anyway. Don`t get your hopes up.
I wish it was that way, really. I`m not getting any amulet in one month because the stats on any of them are worse than exotic for my build.
I sometimes wonder if they know what the hell they’re even doing sometimes when it comes to gear stats.
Berserker and Soldiers. Sounds a lot like WvW main stats. Guess most testers and devs just don`t bother with anything but “endgame” power-builds for WvW. Also the lack of balance for certain classes points to the fact that devs don`t bother with anything they don`t play themselves either…
People were already frustrated about this exact issue 2 months ago and nothing has changed.
Arena said they`d add more stuff and we believed them and waited. Now it is clearly a trend and no use to wait more. I never bothered with FOTM gear because I expected normal stats in the big update.
Perhaps they’re figuring sub-optimal choices make for interesting game play?
If Berserker is sub-optimal I don`t see how Knights or Clerics is not. Glass-cannon builds get even more powerfull, whereas all remotely supportive builds get gimped.
But for now I’m going to be patient and hope that further stats are released with the upcoming expansions in February and March.
We waited since FOTM. Nothing going to change unless we speak up, they`d just release new pieces of gear with the same nonsence stats variants.
Right now it is not much of a problem. Just use Cavalier’s (pwr, tough, critdmg%) items. It comboes very nicely with knight’s gear and fury and has some of the best critdmg% for stat tradeoff rates in the game.
The hell it is a problem all right. I do not have fury on any regular basis and the less I crit the less buffs I give out to allies. I don`t give a …. about the damage I do, because couple of might stacks on 4 people is more damage per second bonus than I can achieve by some measely critdamage %.

Jeweller could still be useful if they allowed exo jewels slotting and just made main stats on ascended trinkets a bit higher, to compensate. That would also allow for a lot of different stats combination than the current ascended.
I kinda think back right now, remember all the people asking for different stats combos? Like Precision/Toughness/Vitality etc. that are not present in exotics? Maybe its Anet way to stem all those. Because when – if – they release CURRENT stats absent in ascended, they`ll be “the best”, “saviors” etc and the current stats are going to be set in stone forever after because we WON the right to have them.

I can barely get to 50% in full knights. If you are talking about one class (name it, it is warrior) they should fix the class instead of gimping all the other classes` builds that rely on knights stats (there are a lot of those).
Anyway, you can get same precision as Knights via ascended Wayfarers, Berserkers, Rabid.
I really, REALLY wish to hear the reasoning behind current ascended stats distribution. Because I don`t see anything remotely logical in it. A lot of nomenclatures are absent. Of those present half are the mixes of two nomenclatures, and half are pure 3 stats. No items with primary Precision or Vitality. Three primary Power. One primary Toughness. Healing as a stat is pretty much non-existent, but there are two different items with MF.
People are forced into wearing exotics as opposed to ascended, because exotics actually give more of the useful stats for a lot of builds.
I really feel for the people who use clerics in their build.
The only thing that fits my build is knights, it is absent too, so there is no way I am going to exchange 50-100 stat points I do not need for 10 more points that I do. I just won`t buy any Ascended… this is really sad, because atm I`m stuck in non-top tier.
I just don`t understand Anet reasoning. There must have been some logic behind ascended stat distribution, but I just can`t see it. If I were to create ascended, I`d just increase main stats and allow exotic jewels slotting alongside with infusion. If there is some technical problem with that, like when they were unable to make two upgrade slots for two-handers, then I`d make pure-stats jewellery for all known nomenclatures. It would make for about the same number of trinkets overall, but if I needed some mix, like popular knight trinkets with ruby jewels for example, I`d just go with a bers ring and knights ring+amulet (or any combination really).
As it is, Ascended is just unviable for half the builds out there.
Tested with a guildie:
The only thing that worked 100%, all the time, is Hallowed Ground (Guardian combo fire field) + Thief Pistol#1 (projectile finisher). I put down a field and did totally nothing while thief killed stuff inside the field.
Curiously, Hallowed Ground worked all the time while Purging Flames (although it is a combo field fire too) never worked once. Thief Pistol#1 worked all the time while other Pistol skills or Shortbow#1 had no effect whatsoever.
What else we tried (to no avail):

We once managed to achieve a point in underwater combat, though we have no idea what combination produced that effect (guardian trident+thief harpoon gun). And also once we procced achievement using GS skills inside Shadow Refuge (but were unable to reproduce).
We did a lot of tries because about every 5min game restarted, taking away all the gained achievement points xD

Well anyway, I use Earth and Agony atm. I have 4 Nightmare runes (10%), 2 Lyssa runes (10%), 10 points in Explosives (10%), +40% condition duration from pizzas. Bleeds last 2 1/4 sec if tooltips to be believed. So with Agony sigil I have 2.25*1.8=4.05 sec bleeds – 4 ticks per bleed on AA (I rather believe in it than know it for sure, its kind of hard to test). Chance on-crit bleeds last 5.25*1.8= 9.45, 9 ticks.
If I`d decided against bleeds boosting, I`d probably go Battle (might on swap) and Corruption (condi damage on kill). Battle can stack 6 Mights all the time, and I even saw 9 stacks once. For WvW I`d probably go with Generosity on the off-hand.
