The excuse of not wanting to fight when your team is behind is what AFKers/manipulators hide behind. The AFK timer should be changed to 30s if you are in your safe starting area and there should be a hefty rank points penalty and a lockout from queuing again if your timer expires.

I could be wrong, but I was under the impression (after watching WP or another youtuber, I can’t remember where) that we would be able to preview the elite specs this weekend…just not in pvp or wvw yet.

No way. PvP is designed for an even playing field, and it’s a great idea. WvW provides an end game for those of us who don’t want to PVE. If someone spends the time and gold required to get ascended gear, they should be rewarded, even if the advantage is slight. It’s not like it’s impossible to win in exotic gear, like it might be in other games if you don’t have the very best. The option to obtain ascended gear gives players the ability to stack stats as they see fit and to strive for that extra 1% stat advantage if they so desire.

I have more fights every day in the Alpine BL than in a week in the DBL. The size and accessibility of the Alpine are better for zergs and roamers alike. I’m not gonna say I’ll be gone if/when DBL comes back…but I will just be in EB.

It’s not a bad deal at all, especially considering many other games have a monthly subscription charge. Even most other “free” mmo games have limiting features for people not paying to be a VIP or whatever that specific game calls it. With GW2 you get access to absolutely everything for no fees. 3 months playing this game vs others and you’ve saved nearly enough for the expansion.
