For the Juggernaut 1: Experimental Hammer the “ponder victory cenotaph” is buggekittenhe only one having this issue?
In City of Hope and Strange Observations story missions, Ruka and Kiru’s left shoulder is clipping behind them and their hands are extended 3 times their normal length.
The story line Strange Observations , Avoid the Traps I can not get the achievement no matter what I do… Anyone else have this?
This happened to me as well. You can get it by actually triggering BOTH traps and then running past the enemies that are spawned. Kill the wolves quickly to open up the way to Taimi and after you reach the room you will be granted the achievement despite not having the Qualify buff.
I tried it this way. CONFIRMED. achievement acquired. Anet, fix this plez.
Nothing flashy and not much to look at.
I wasn’t sure which forum to put this in so here goes; I was curious about the Dreamcleaver Logging Axe, if there are plans to add a matching sickle and mining pick? It’s still on the gemstore and I was just curious about it. Mostly because the rest of the gathering tools come in sets. Or if there’s a special Heart of Thorns/Mordrem gathering set, that would be interesting to see as well sometime in the future. I don’t expect Anet to respond to something trivial like this. They’re probably knee deep in ironing out bugs and what not.
What do the rest of the players think?
The Champion Mordrem Thrasher just floats in one direction and no one seems to be able to aggro it. Is this achievement no longer available?
This may have been covered already, what’s up with the self inflicting conditions in Mallyx skills?
Empowering Misery: Self-Weakness
Pain absorption: Self-Blind
Banish Enchantment: Self-Vulnerability
Unyielding Anguish: Self-Cripple
Embrace Darkness: Self-TormentWell, it’s meant to be like the masochist Necro build, where you apply conditions to yourself, then pass them on to enemies or eat them to buff yourself, the problem is that this class does a poor job of doing that last bit, the passing them on or benefiting from them. Mallyx stance needs more Resistance, and more reliable methods of passing on Conditions.
Aha, I see. Oi, Anet, are you reading this?

I had lots of fun playing the Rev. I see a lot of really cool potential. I felt durable as hell, but also felt kinda weak. I was running full zerk with ogre runes and felt as durable as my necro in PVT, but I also felt like i was hitting for less than my necro in PVT armor. The DPS on the more DPS oriented legend will have to be quite high to balance out the lack of DPS on the other legends. Although most of this has already been said, here is my 2 copper.
-I think the legends need more utility skills than the 3 provided for each (4-5 would be nice), because depending on the situation some become useless (like Mallyx 7 is basically useless when solo, or Jalis 9 is kinda useless when playing at range). Then we could have more flexibility. Also because since the weapon locks you into range or melee, the utilities need to make up for the lack of weapon swap. Or, like others have suggested, have each weapon act as melee or range depending on the legend invoked. This is my favorite idea, but probably the hardest for Anet to accomplish.-If revs are going to have to juggle cool downs AND energy management, then cast times should be much much lower. Cool down should be just low enough to stop from spamming skills. Revs should be focusing on energy management not CDs. They should be able to chain different skills with abandon until the energy runs out.
-If they fix what seems to be a skill queue bug the rev is experiencing, then it might feel more fluid and less clunky, even so, the cast times need to be shortened (which might also help with the DPS problem some)
-Mallyx elite seems to only copy 1 stack of burning, instead of the whole stack.
- Jalis’s taunt skill (8?) energy cost needs to be a lot lower and the trait that increases effectiveness needs to also increase effectiveness on players (even if it is less effective than on mobs)
- The tablet should auto summon on swap or there should be non tablet utilities which change once the tablet is summoned. I also think the tablet should follow, at it’s max range, and the cast time on the move should be instant.
-Healing skills should not have an energy cost.
-Jalis elite needs to have either stability applied at cast, a decreased cast time, or an
increased duration. Like it was said earlier, cast time is too long to be reactive, but duration is too short to be proactive. With all that said, I can’t wait to try the Rev again. I’m really hoping that it’s awesome once this class is complete and polished.
This. Also, is there a possiblity for weapon swap on the Rev? I personally would like for a weapon swap unless they make it unnecessary.
also, are you underwater (with the spear equipped) when you’re looking at the hero panel?
iirc you don’t get agony resistance from unequipped weapons (secondary set or underwater, unless underwater or equipping the secondary weapon).
This is indeed the case, Thank you!
Did you add the Malign Infusion (Basic), which you get from the laurel vendor and gives you +4 condition damage, or the Malign Infusion?
It was the Fine Malign Infusion (+5 condition damage. +5 agony resistance)
I added 10 agony resistance to an ascended backpiece and it showed up 10 agony resistance on the hero tab. I eventually got Kamohoali’i Kotaki (legendary spear) and added a Malign Infusion(5 agony resistance) but it didn’t show up as 15 on the hero tab. But, when I added +5 to the backpiece, then it shows 15. Is that supposed to happen?
the problem is, the “rightful king of ascalon” would have to be the descendand from either king adelbern or duke barradin, but adelberns son prince Rurik died to an ambush of the stone summit dwarfs, and his wife, the daughter of duke barradin, got killed in the searing. Both were only childs and both died before they had children, therefore everyone who had any form of bloodright to the ascalonian throne died.
Wade Samuelsson, Commander of the Ebon Vanguard and Duke of Ebonhawke, descends from Ascalonian royalty.
Barradin likely had siblings or cousins that we didn’t know about. Royalty rarely have singular lines, but are often lines of kittens and younger siblings left to rule lesser lands.
Also, according to the Prophecies manual, Rurik was simply the eldest son. There was another kid we know nothing about – though Rurik was also the last child of Adelbern by the time the former died, so any younger sibling of Rurik was likely either dead or thought to be dead before 1072 AE.
Adlebern was not of royal blood either, yet he became king. Check out Ascalon’s Chosen. I think it would be entirely plausible that somewhere in Logan’s and Kerian’s ancestry there’s an illegitimate heir, unless ANet clarifies otherwise
While of commoner title, Adelbern was descended from King Doric, making him of royal blood.
I stand corrected.
I don’t know. It would be relatively easy, albeit very bad storytelling, for the writers to say that one of Gwen or Kieran’s ancestors, or maybe someone married in between them and Logan, was descended from Doric. That said, though, if Doric’s blood is what the legend is getting at the best way to test it would be to get Jennah to try. I think Samuelsson also says he’s of that line. Logan would certainly not be the first choice.
On Magdaer’s location- I’ll point out that Eir definitely wasn’t going to Honor of the Waves, since she put in an appearance at Sorrow’s Embrace before that. More to the point, Destiny’s Edge doesn’t spend all of it’s time rushing from dungeon to dungeon- if you read the mail they send, it sounds like they spend most of their time doing their own thing, and only go to the dungeons about the same time as you. Eir’s stated plan was to take the sword to a blacksmith she knows- I would presume Beigarth- so I would assume it’s either in his possession or discarded in Eir’s homestead somewhere.
You speak of bad story-telling in the same breath as you say giving Magdaer to Queen Jennah would be a good idea. She isn’t Ascalonain, whereas Logan’s ancestors: Keiran and Gwen are Ascalonian. See Ebon Vangard. So yes, Logan would be the first choice because he has Ascalonian heritage.
What makes you think that Logan is the “rightful king of Ascalon” ?
His ancestors are not from royalty in any sense, and even if Logan officially marry with Jennah, he’ll be King of Kryta.

Adelbern was descended from King Doric, so he was of royal blood… Sorry to burst your bubble. He wasn’t next in line for the throne when he was crowned, but he WAS in line. Logan isn’t of royal blood at all…
You’re not bursting anyone’s bubble…and you seem to be missing the point.

But I guess it is better than that, you really think the charr would give up on ascalon, it is their homestead. And in case someone wants to argue “but the charr took ascalon from the humans” that only happend after the humans pushed the charr out of ascalon anyway, it was their rightfull home to begin with. Therefore the true leader of ascalon should not be a human king but a Khan-ur of the Charr, which is a title that has not to be inherited by birthright, any imperator that wields the claw and does one great dead can claim the title(but it has to be a significant deed, the last time a charr attampted to get it, the searing and entire destruction of ascalon followed).
Imperator Smodur, current leader of the iron legion is the current possessor of the claw, so he is closest to beeing the Khan of ascalon and all the charr.
I agree, if the rightful king of Ascalon walked in, Smodur, and the rest of the Charr, wouldn’t be pleased. However, if the rightful king was Logan, it could strengthen the Charr-Human relations and the Treaty. But, then again, it could also damage it. As I said in the original post, there’s a lot that the writers can work with and develop.

>Logan Thackary
>Magdaer
>Ruins of Rin
>????
>PROFIT!
The story mission for AC left off with Eir headed for the Honor of the Waves, still in possession of Magdaer. In the wiki:
“It is said that if either Magdaer or Sohothin returns to Ascalon City in the hands of rightful king of Ascalon, then the Ascalonian spirits will finally be put to rest.”
—Magdaer
What if Logan acquired Magdaer and traveled to Ascalon? What did Eir do with it? Maybe she hid it away somewhere to keep it safe. Or maybe she threw it away en route to HotW. There’s a vast number of things that can be done here – perhaps in the next expansion or LS – and I would be very interested to know what ANet’s developers and writers thoughts regardless if there are any current plans to expand this part of the Guild Wars 2 story.

Actually, I have to add that the end of it is now a disjointed mess. Organizing into chapters as fine, rearranging the order without touching up the story and removing entire arcs was asinine.
I concur.
I see what OP is getting at. Deleting would a bad idea, just clarify. However, ANET, I think you guys are beating a dead horse at this point. I’m not a new player but I didn’t log in for 7 months and missed all of LS1 and that kittened me off to no end. So, I sympathize.
As far as the people above trolling each other… either fix yourselves to do that on plebbit.
Okay, you do need to guest on another server in order to get this skill point. Is it possible this is not isolated to the Tarnished Coast server?
Apparently, you need to guest on another server. I haven’t tried it myself. About to go try it.
I got the cutscene to work! Thanks A-Net!
That makes more sense. I wonder if A-Net was able to recreate it at all.
Character Name: Aenkarthas
Race: Human
Class: Thief
Order: Order of Whispers
Level: 80
I tried this story mission once and I glitched into the second lever-release-box-thingy to shut the gate. So, I waypoint’d out and tried again. But, then I couldn’t start the first cutscene with Trahearne and it looks like it’s exactly the same thing as the “[BUG] The Battle of Fort Trinity” thread from a year ago. There was also a line through the objective in the “Hero” window. [screenshot attached]
I am also having this problem and I do not have AVG on my computer. Is there a resolution for this?
