I think a lot of us would also like to hear about why free transfers are still effective and unchanged while they continue to decay the WvW quality and server pride.

All this data collection (ratings as well as queue times) is pretty, but it’s like judging this week’s weather forecast based on how well the last weatherman did.

Until server transfers are locked down, you really can’t presume this week’s Dragonbrand deserves last week’s Dragonbrand Glicko score.

I’m done playing until things even out at least a little.
Best part of no sub fee? No commitment to play a game that’s being handled poorly. I understand the concept of, and the need for, a world ranking system but when you don’t take population into consideration when matching-up worlds and the population can (and does) drastically change week-to-week any ranking system becomes completely meaningless.

For guilds who are tired of waiting in queues as long as you held out with that lovely little (useless) outmanned buff, I can totally see the desire to find a new, less-populated server. If anyone actually is leaving because of a loss, I think that’s silly.

Guilds that don’t have the numbers to compete against a 30- to 40- man “zerg” (by the way, if there’s only one or two guild tags, it’s almost definitely not a zerg, but rather a coordinated strike), can easily just circumnavigate them, and pick up supply camps behind them to help starve them out of their keeps.

New matches should start Sunday night, not Friday night

I’m pretty sure the first day would be the decider no matter which day it was. I agree with yertle that it’s currently designed very “snowbally”, which makes the short-period transfer restriction even more crappy when a large alliance transfers en masse. I attribute this more to the players than the design, though. I know when my server is 5:1 in points and the BL are dead, I really don’t feel like it’s worth putting the time into.

I think the amount of time people actually spend in (relative to their total played time, of course) WvW and their participation in WvW should be considered.

My meta-ideas:
I feel like all the suggestions for “who gets to vote” have missed the idea of how much time people spend in WvW. For Commanders, you could buy the Commander book without spending any time in WvW, and “everyone votes” assumes everyone cares the same amount and should be counted equally, but that may not be the case, given the rich PvE experience ArenaNet has provided for us and not sufficiently pushed/enticed us out of. And no, I don’t consider the centaur/skritt/etc PvE objectives necessarily apply to WvW participation.

If the ogre/krait/centaur/skritt PvE events change some of the way a particular map works, maybe they could be used to make the yak escorts more interesting/dynamic. Since the yak always tries to be moving, I’m not sure bots would be able to keep it up in the face of the NPC assault.

Ugh….

Those guys are the worst offenders of the rendering glitch. Doesn’t surprise me that they’d do this.

Please don’t generalize to the level of blaming an entire server’s population for the actions of a few.
