Just got Gobreche’s armor box for Valkyrie stat ascended gear. I didn’t think these single boxes still existed since the change to the armor boxes in fractals. For those of you whom may not remember the ascended armor that drops in fractals are grouped into 3 different sets. So there are only 3 types of armor boxes but chances are you can pick the stats that fit your character. I think this should be the same for PvP rewards when it comes to ascended armor. That is all.

Started at about 8:00 while idly doing some other stuff. Its now 1:30 and I have the Mantle.

And I don’t like it…

Kidding, its actually pretty cool. Not sure it was worth the cost of materials but I got a bunch of new outfits and I salvaged everything for magic find. Over all not that bad but still…

Hopefully I am at least ready for what ever other skins they add in the future that might have to do with crafting. Hopefully nothing too cool for medium armor anytime soon. I’m fresh out of pretty much everything.

I only have one profession that wears light armor and its my necromancer. So I never bothered with Tailor. I would rather do Leatherworker since I have an engineer and thief but never saw the point since my main is my warrior. All my character pretty much have exotic armor. My War and my Guardian have full ascended stuff. Not sure who has the money or the time to deck out all characters on ascended.

Anyways still seems like a bit of a waste of materials just for one head gear, but a really cool one….Bah guess I know what I’m doing today since Anet won’t make any changes

This is a bad behavior that I posted a thread for a better solution. If your in a match and then go back to spectator mode you should not be able to re-join. Its a broken system. If you encourage this then you have a team of constant leavers and re-joins that no one actually plays the match, they just let someone else do the work and try to join who ever is in the lead.

Ok, so there is an obvious problem that has probably been mentioned before but I think that there is a really easy solution to this particular problem. I encountered it last night with a player going AFK in a match, thus leaving a 4v5 situation, or even a 3v5 due to unbalanced teams. He would get points by volunteering to switch to the other side. While never actually playing the game. He stayed there in that server all night. I asked everyone to report him for botting but knew nothing was going to be done immediately. Should of just switched servers but I was having some good matches when this particular player never joined.

The constant leaving of matches, auto balance, and going to spectate mode waiting for auto balance then unbalancing the team by joining the winning side is a problem. Now I know a solution is to just do Team or Solo arena but I prefer the slightly more relaxed atmosphere of Hot Join. So instead here is my suggestion.

When starting a match there should be a time limit on when someone can join. There should be a “Ready” button that indicates that you want to play but you have not picked a team yet. At the end of the timer you will automatically go to a random side. If there is too many players then you return to Spectator mode. This will resolve people not joining a team till one side already has a lead due to unbalance.

As for leavers there needs to be a harsher penalty for leaving a match multiple times. Having nothing happen to you just abuses the system and if things don’t go well for a player they just leave. Or leave, wait for auto balance, then rejoin. To fix this issue if your in a match and go back to spectator, you should not be able to re enter the match. You can either leave to go back to the mist, or wait for the match to end to join the next session. This can easily be done by removing that “Ready” button I mentioned previously. That way if there was a player that was ready to play but didn’t get into a match, then someone leaves, that person will take his spot. Rather then the player leaving trying to switch sides.

If no one decides to join and its an unbalanced 4v5 then that’s just the way it is. It happens. Though if its a 3v5 then auto balance should still occur. Better rewards for volunteers should probably happen so that even though the team that is most likely loosing the player that tried to help them out still win in his own way. For those that try to abuse the volunteer system a new report button for AFK special to the PVP system should be implemented.

All punishments for AFK or leaving a match already in progress should be 5 min or longer debuff that prevents them from joining a match. This worked in Guild Wars 1 there is no reason it can’t work in Guild Wars 2. If you stay in spectator mode then leave via the exit button then obviously you should not be punished. Same for if the match is over and you decide to leave. It should only occur if the match is in progress. I would say the 3 strikes your out rule. You get a warning after leaving twice, and if you do it again then automatic 5 min debuff. Thus discouraging leavers. This should be the minimum punishment cause we all understand that things happen.

For Afk the same rule in festival games should apply. If a person doesn’t move, capture a point, or attack a person within a certain amount of time they are automatically bumped to spectator mode with the ready button taken away so they can’t re join. Don’t hit the ready button if your not ready to join a match.

I believe these suggestions will greatly improve the way unbalance teams occur in Hot Join and any other mode of sPVP. Let me know what you think and suggest other ideas for this problem.

July 1st Perdictions & Expectations

With only one image to clue us in on what is ahead for the beginning of season 2 living story I would like to start a thread that focuses only on the first part. Not the entire next story but just the first patch to come in July.

Lost of people are saying a new map. The image certainly hints to that. Though what do we want in a new map. I’m hoping that we have some new hearts. While the south sun content was alright it felt as though the event karma train was not worth running in the beginning. Only with the introduction of the Karka Queen dose South Sun get any kind of attention. Hearts not only provide opportunity to new players but having new armor skins to go with the karma rewards would be great.

A new meta event would be nice though. Can’t say I would not like the opportunity to add more chest rewards considering the new timers limit how much you get done.

A new city would be cool. We are approaching territory of a possible existence of a second Pale Tree. If we are investigating the “sound” when scarlet died it would make sense to head either North or East of Brisband Wildlands.

Well that’s all I got. Your thoughts?

The fact that you have to trigger the moves during the channeling of a stomp is proof enough that these skills are not intended to be used like that. And though there are counter for it seems like the chances of a perfect counter are not only going to be found. And the suggestion of “don’t die play better” is a stupid suggestion.

Its not a complaint I just believe that these skills should function this way. Normaly in Mist form or Elixir S you can’t do any moves what so ever. Its just used as an evade. If these skills are functioning as intended then Necromancers should be able to stomp in Shadow Form. If your turned into a Moa you should be able to stomp. And a Ranger pet should be able to stomp.

Well it was a 2 on one situation but either way I feel these skills are still not functioning as they should. He popped Elixir S after I was downed to stomp me. The problem is that now these skills are required in group. Forcing players that they must have this skill in order to do a quick stomp. Even if they are long cool downs the average fight leaves it so that it will always be up when they need it. I still think these skills are not suppose to function this way.

Could someone go into detail what Necro Plague stomp is?

Thieves in stealth can still be aoed by allies when they are trying to down a player. However these two moves being used while finishing prevent all damage and crowd control. This is an obvious bug and its a bit disgusting how everyone uses it.

This has made PvP littered with engineers and elementalist for this advantage. These two moves should not be abled to finish a player when activated. When trying to down a player all other moves should be unusable or you interrupt the channeling. If you use a move before hand that gives stability or dose blind then that’s fine. However if mist form or Elixir S is used then the player should not be able to downed as all of their skills are taken away. These moves are for avoiding damage. They should stay that way and not make an unfair advantage of creating an unblockable finisher. There is nothing that can be done to stop them from finishing an ally.

To the community at large. Please use this move as it was intended. To avoid damage for a brief period of time. People who use these moves to do an unblockable finisher and cheating and they know it. I doubt I will convince anyone but if you have honor and believe in a fair fight then don’t use these moves to finish.

This comes after fighting an engineer who claims he was playing for the first time in sPvP. I argued with him for a while and he learned to use the move while watching a Youtube video. We should not teach new players to use cheap tricks just to get ahead.

Are Minons Suppose to be Stupid?

I am not sure if I am doing the dhuumfire build correctly. I understand the concept just not the execution. The main problem with the build would be the various thieves that inhabit sPvP. You have to catch them with a good fear before you can get a shot in before they go stealth. I guess using a staff is important in that sense. Anyone can go into detail of the pro’s and cons to the new dhuumfire I would appreciate it.

When it comes to minions they may not have great intelligence lore wise but when I need them the most in a PvP situation I find myself wondering, "where are my minions?’

My flesh golem is stuck somewhere, my bone minion doesn’t seem to be any where. My other minions are not attacking when they should be. The only minions that seem to work or my vampiric and shadow minion. Granted this doesn’t happen all the time but happens more times then I would like. The main issue seems to be when I go into death shroud. While in death shroud the minions don’t seem to pick up on what I am attacking. If minions act like ranger pets then they should attack my target. Or at least be in the right position for me to use the minions properly. When I use explode minion they always seem to blow up right next to me rather then where I want them to explode. And the recharge on Charge for the flesh golem is a bit long so half the time my flesh golem stands there while a warrior is hammering away at me. And only will attack when I use the Charge move.

Dose anyone else experience this? Is this on purpose or is there tweaking needed for the minion AI? Do I need a new necro build? Help would be appreciated.

There are various ways that Fissure of Woe and Under World could work in the new Guild Wars 2 style. It would have to be a private instance. It would be great for it to be an open world map with really tough events that need coordination. With leaving plenty of stuff to do for the “zerg”

For private instance I think there should be 2 modes. One for the slandered 5 group. And another for a 10 group. Much like the Factions Urgoz Warden they doubled the group size from 6 to 12. Leaving room for balancing and challenge. If you remember death in FOW or UW was permanent. If everyone is dead or one person is alive without resurrection it was game over. You had to start from the beginning. With how everyone can resurrect there would still need to be some challenge to keep it risk versus reward. As for reward there needs to be really good stuff. New Armors, new weapons, and maybe some new pre cursor legendary stuff. It would be nice and I am sure its on the way. One day.

There are a lot of Champions that do not drop loot boxes with the new mega server. Champions in Fire Elemental, Champions at Shadow Bohemeth. Listen Anet either Champions drop boxes or they don’t. If they don’t then don’t name them Champions. Make them Elites or something else. All champions should drop boxes. I use to get so much loot before the timers of the mega server screwed everything up. Now im lucky to get even a single box droped.

Great Jungle Wurm Killed in 2 sec, No Reward.

Not sure if this has been brought up before but its still an issue. The Caledon Great Jungle Wurm seems to be getting killed quickly due to a bug with one of its moves and feed back skill from a Mesmer.

This use to be a tactic where Mesmer feed back just as its spinning would make sure allies who would not be poisoned and the poison gets on the wurm instead. Now it seems to just drop the Wurm’s health from full to dead in 2 seconds. Some people don’t have enough time to hit the monster or do enough damage to get credit.

Is it right to kill all dragons?

Well the various Order theories kind of go out the window when they unite all together under the Pact. The Pact uses all resources to combat the dragons. Though yes its either them or us. The last time the dragons awoke was when they killed all the Giant Lupicans. And those guys are huge and powerful. You think an army of those would of done alright but guess their intelligence probably wasn’t that great.

Tyria is a big place and there is no doubt that there are probably more dragons that are still asleep. Even some that may stay asleep in case the current dragons fail. Though the races of Tyria have to fight. They can’t just be like “oh this is suppose to happen lets just give up.” These are decedents of great hero’s. Hero’s that fought the Murrasat and the Lich. Battled Titans. Shut down the greatest betrayer Cantha has ever known Tagachi Shahiro. And took down the god Abadon. While the elder dragons may be more powerful then that we have proven that they can be killed. There is hope for survival and if we win even at the coast of lives we come out of it wiser and learn the lessons of how to deal with future problems.

A necromancers main strength is condition. So having something with toughness can make you a little bit more durable. Been a while since I’ve been in WvW but they were using a lot of well necromancers along with spectral wall to do massive aoe but those were for zergs. For more small scale one on one you can probably do a mix of spectral wall, and some other skills to do conditions. Best of luck to you.

If anything they should be a rare drop in the Fractals or the Boss with the molten alliance. To at least give a chance for getting his item again. And probably making it account bound so there isn’t too much of a market for it on the Black Lion. Thankfully I have it and have been hanging onto it ever since. And now its part of my wardrobe.

Don’t forget to have plenty of Agony Resistance. You will need it for the Mistlock Agonizing Expedition. Lvl 40 & 50 I haven’t been too high on the fractals but I’ve done my fair share. Dredge is just really the most annoying. If your making your way to the higher levels though you tend to get good groups. I think there is a guild out there that anytime you want to run fractals just represent them and you can always find a group particularly doing high levels. I forget what they are called though. If anyone knows them just reply.

Eye of the North is required for the Hall of monuments. And in order to unlock that you need to do some story stuff in Eye of the North. One month won’t get you many points. Some of the stuff you need to do for the unlocks require quite a bit of playing. In honest opinion though its kind of worth it. The first guild wars and all its expansions were quite good. Though trying to go back now would be difficult. I am certain people still play but finding people for missions without the Hero’s unlocked would be a bit of a pain.

Dose anyone play a Norn Thief? I really haven’t seen one and I think it would be great.

I have to say that Human Guardian was a bit typical choice. Tier 3 cultural armor to start with. Though when ascended armor came out I mixed it up with the shoulders, gloves, and boots for a more unique look. I may update her when they come out with more faces. I was trying for a more Elonian descent look.

When I was first deciding who was going to be what when guild wars was about to come out I did want a Norn Guardian. Then all my friends had one so decided to make my Guardian the last of my characters. I knew I was starting Sylvari Warrior who was of day cycle which all made lore sense to me. I don’t find it boring.

Norn Engineer is probably my favorite combo.

Char Thief of Ash legion another lore choice.

I’ve been seeing a lot of these pop up lately. If you haven’t worked on any ascended gear its a nice not too hard crafting that can increase your over all effectiveness of your character.

Structure PVP has become my new pass time. With the new reward system its a great fun fast pace action of skill and challenge. Trying different builds and thinking outside the “meta” can really be fun. And with the rewards along the way its rather nice.

I have a Asuran Necromancer as well. I wasn’t really thinking lore wise if it was a good fit. I was more thinking, “Tiny little Asuran doesn’t get notice amongst a hoard of minions.” Or in recent PVP happenings “Focus on me while my big flesh golem knocks you on your butt.” Seeing players practically bounce when they get hit by Flesh Golem is hilarious.

Best thing about Asuran Necromancer is when they enter death shroud and say “I am Death Incarnate” that is pretty freaking scary coming from a confident short asuran.

Consider the recent trend in Guild Wars updates. We usually have one every 2 weeks or so. Last update was April 15 so it will only be 3 weeks on May 6th. The April 15th patch was a big one. The previous update Battle for Lion’s Arch was the end of the season 1 of the living story. Update was on March 4th and the period of time between that and the April 15 was 6 weeks. Granted we had some roll out of information between then. To be honest I love the constant updates of new stuff. Its so much better then waiting for an expansion that may or may not come any time soon. With smaller updates they guarantee that something is just around the corner. There are high hopes for the future of Guild Wars 2. New races, new classes, new maps, new weapons, guild halls, re-establishing Guild versus Guild. Really we just have to be patient. New information on what’s next would be nice but what other game dose what we have here?

Suggestions would be try the new reward system with structure PVP. The PVP rewards have improved greatly and this is what I have been doing pretty much every night. Games are fast pace and challenging. I’ve made some new friends and new rivals and teaming up with a friend on the same team or kicking their butt on the opposite team has become a lot more fun. I was in the same boat really not knowing what to do with my other characters. I had a lot of fun getting the new traits with my other characters. It was nice to play them again. Now if Lyssa and the Grand Wizard events would actually trigger when I play that would be great to finish off my guardian. Then my friend discovered how great the new rewards were for PVP. Been taking my necromancer in there and having a good time.

I feel a lot of players who got the game on day one have reached a point of comfort. Ascended weapons and armor kept us busy for a while but we kind of got use to this flood of new stuff coming in and now that we are in this low period we are like “Hey what happened?” When you really think about it though look at the game over a year. How much it has changed. Any other game out there over a year you can say the same thing? Without an actual expansion I mean.

A recent review of Elder Scrolls Online by internet reviewer Angry Joe calls the mega server idea they had the worst idea. Making grouping up with friends and guilds frustrating. I wonder what he would think of the Guild Wars 2 mega server. I just wrote to him hoping for some help. If your a fan of the show or actually apart of the Angry Joe army I suggest you write to him as well.

Joe was a huge fan of the game at launch. I can imagine though his show requires a lot of demand and he probably hasn’t been in guild wars for some time. I doubt he can help too much but the thing is that if it fails in Elder Scrolls Online then why the heck is it in my Guild Wars 2. Anet don’t take ideas from other MMO’s. It is what sets you apart that made me love this game to begin with. The breaking of the holy trinity is just one of the many different aspects that set Guild Wars apart.

Now I know your guys are not going to change your mind. Your lack of response is evident as is the news you guys updated not too long ago. The mega server is here to stay. Though for the love I have for this game please do a major, and I mean MAJOR fix to the system. Guilds and original server people should have top priority when it comes to filling a map for events. I don’t see my guild anymore nor the people I normally hang out with. My community that I loved is all but fading away. I can see many people leaving over this change if its not fix. I’ve been certainly considering it but I know and I believe you can make this system work.

Game Updates: Traits

Please give us more options for how to get our traits. At the current moment some of the way you get these traits seems really punishing for new players. Yes I understand you don’t get the first trait till 30 now but even so we should have more choice.

The 100% Map completion forces players to make their way to that specific map. It should be “Complete any lvl 30-50 Map 100%” Makes us have a choice of where we want to go.

The dungeon traits also force players to go to a specific dungeon. Again it should be based on level “Complete any lvl 20-50 Story Dungeon” So that new players can choose which dungeon they are actually interested in. Same goes for the paths. Do any Path. Choice!

The WvW are probably the worst ones. A person might have to wait weeks to get that trait if the server they are in doesn’t do particularly well in WvW and they are on the wrong side of the map depending on if they are Blue, Green, or Red. It should be something along the lines of “Capture any Keep” or “Capture any Tower.” Makes it easier.

Just please give us more options when it comes to making a new character. At the current system it really discourages new players sense of choice. When you come into Guild Wars 2 you explore where you want to explore, you see an interesting event and you do it or you don’t. I know that was in the manifesto. Now its “Oh there is the event you need to do.”

Personality Gone?!?

Me and my friend just noticed that the display for your characters personality is gone. You know the Dignity, Charismatic, and Ferocity levels for interactions with certain characters. They are no where to be found in the new tabs for wardrobe or equipment.

A mistake perhaps? Did no one pay attention to them in the first place? A conspiracy against the already damaged RP community? Has Anet sucked all the personality out of the game?

Couple of things.

First of Anet is a bunch of liars. They said that the role out of the Megaserver would be slow. Yet now half of all the maps are now the megaserver.

Second, triggered events such as dredged and ogre chieftain are at risk of never being completed again. If people are always in those maps doing the events then the meta event that requires a failed event might never happen if people keep succeeding.

Third, Anet is liars again. I remember an article or maybe it was the manifesto video but I remember a quote that went something along the lines of “You will not have to wait about for timers.” The megaserver has done just that.

Fourth, Karka only being around at one time. People don’t always have time to play at a specific time for that event. Particularly when its needed for traits now. Yes It can be triggered by large guilds. Though you have to be part of that guild and convince people to do it later. Might not get done every day.

Five, the meta event has all been screwed over. I don’t get as many events done after the patch then I did before the patch. It takes longer and some events don’t even get done. Or someone else dose them while your not paying attention. I think Guild Wars needs an in game system to let you know what meta events are happening that you can toggle on or off. Like the daily achievement or something.

Last, it doesn’t work. In hithari hinterlands I was doing the event for Mondir. Representing my guild and having my friend in my party I ended up in a completely different map. I managed to switch over but after loosing connection I ended up in a map that was empty. With no one doing the event. So even though there is no “overflow” the overflow problem still exists. Where you get put into a map and your missing the event cause no one is there to do it. The full map is full and you can’t get in. I though the megaserver was a system to design equal distribution of people. You get put with your friends, guild, and server while a few others from some where else join your party. And if that map is over populated the other maps still have enough people to do the event at the time that it happens. Guess I thought wrong.

Solution: Stop, stop right now right this second. Get everything back to the way it was and don’t come back till everything works right. You added way too many maps way too fast and broke things once more.

I never seemed to get 25 stacks of corruption before the patch. Now there is no avoiding it. Even when your far away from the shades you get the debuff. This even has become nothing more then an un-fun death run.

This event was difficult before. Not only was it hard to get people to stay alive with the aoe that drops you from the ceiling. The closest waypoint is beyond far away even if Arah pre is done. No one runs back, ever. And you can not resurrect people during the event.

And now with the update if you get corruption stacks from the shades, its instant death. This doesn’t make the event more dynamic. It makes it annoying. Again, no one runs back. And no one kills the shades. Trying to organize new people to these changes makes it worse then before. Its easier to do it with less people, yet people need it for one of the new traits.

Anet Please revert this back to what it was. This event was difficult enough without you making it harder for no reason.

More People More Problems?

Ok, with the new information about the Megaserver and set time for world bosses the issue of the above title, more people being more problems is apparent.

I am sure with most populated servers or any server for that matter the reset zerg for the daily meta boss run around has a fluctuating population. It can be anywhere from manageable to lag inducing mobs dying in a blink of an eye frustration. This problem mostly occurs during events like Temple of Grenth and Melandru. Where people aoe the mobs before they even spawn. And even with the invulnerability to a point they still die before you can swing a sword on a melee character. And even if you have aoe to combat its a luck of the draw and luck of the lag.

So with the Megaserver adding more people I do hope they plan on buffing or increasing some mobs to allow people to get the chance for loot drops.

Another concern of mine is that since the Megaserver won’t be in the other maps till later yet the timers for things like Grenth and Melandru may be set will cause players who miss that event to be screwed in catching it again the second time around. Later this will be fixed by the megaserver being in that map since when ever you go to the map you go to the most populated. But until its released everywhere you’ll probably end up in a dead map since the zerg already did the event. So you have to be on time or else. This seems to put a time restriction on the PVE meta events.

Now I know that the argument is that “If you miss the event now your stills screwed.” Though right now the zerg leader controls the flow of the metas. When they happen and so forth so some of the more harder events tend to be the ones put off till later. It all depends really. Though with the new system of time restrictions the events will happen more often and your still out of luck until the megaserver is in place in all maps.

I understand what anet is trying to do though if you really want people all over the map then make a reason. Which you are by the new trait system. Add new metas or give more incentive for people to do certain maps either for daily of monthly or helping people through the area. Redoing hearts for chance of exotic drop maybe if your helping a new character through it? I don’t know just spit balling ideas. I feel as servers are an identity. And though we still have WvW it just seems like this change is a bit too much at the moment. Guess there is not stopping it now.

Just really hope this all works out as it would be nice to see more people and not have to worry about over flow. Just hope it doesn’t become a lag mess and I have to lower my graphics like I do in WvW.

I was just really concerned that killing Scarlet might be a bad thing considering the drawing of a Pale Tree wrapped up in thorns. And I though that since Scarlet is more towards soundless I didn’t know if her knowledge might affect the pale tree or other sylvaries in the dream. I think it would of made a good plot point though I think it could still be used.

I still think that Mordy has a high chance of being able to corrupt Sylvari. There are still some arguments out there that Sylvari can still be influenced without actually being a minion or a Lieutenant of a elder dragon. Either way Scarlet did what she did cause of an elder dragon. Call I corruption, make her a lieutenant or champion, or just trickery. It still could be dangerous for Sylvari since this new dragon dose have an earth based theme.

New Dialogue for Sylvari characters that answer this exact questions.

For soundless the pale tree says they try to do a form of meditation to cut them off from her.
“Cuts them off from the dream, the world, each other, and me. Some cannot bear the burden of shared pain.

Nightmare court. “Once beloved to me, as are you, these poor misguided have through their own free will have taken a darker path.” They do harm to the dream.

So in short the Nightmare and Soundless are connected but the Soundless are looking for a way to sever the connection. Where as the Nightmare desire to be connected so they can do harm to the Dream.

So then what will Mordy’s minions be if not the Nightmare Court or Sylvari in general? Some kind of plant corruption? Since Mordy has an earth theme I think he has a high probability to be able to corrupt Sylvari into his minons.

What happens when a Nightmare or Soundless Sylvari dies?

As we know Sylvari are incorruptible by any of the dragons so far. For when a Sylvari dies their knowledge goes back to the pale tree. This has been explained further in the book Ghost of Ascalon.

However is death different for a Nightmare or Soundless Sylvari? I ask this cause how dangerous is Scarlet’s death if her knowledge goes back to the pale tree? We know that the Pale Tree tried to warn Scarlet from looking into the eternal alchemy. This allowed the newest Dragon Mordermoth to corrupt Scarlet and lead to the invasion of Lions Arch.

So this brings up two things. One is that Mordermoth might possibly be the only dragon that can corrupt Sylvari. Two is the picture of a pale tree entertwined with vines pictured in Scarlet’s Hidden Base. At first I thought that with Scarlet’s death it may be harmful to the pale tree that her knowledge might go back to other sylvari waiting to be born. However so far this has not been the case.

There may be other pale trees. There has been a lot of suggestions that Modermoth is currently resting either near or possibly underneath a second pale tree. Dose Modermoth have anything to do with the Nightmare Court? When a Nightmare or Soundless Sylvari dies dose there knowledge go some where else or dose it all go back to the pale tree?

All these questions could be a very good plot point later on. If Modermoth’s minions are the Nightmare Court then it would prove that Modermoth is a more intelligent dragon. Where most of the other dragon’s minions are just beast the nightmare court can not only think for themselves but also do the dragon’s biddings. Just think of how effective Scarlet was with her attack on Lion’s Arch all while under the direction of a elder dragon. The pale tree could be at risk if the same gateway that led Modermoth to Scarlet is now open to other sylvari that are still in the dream.

Let me know what you think of all this. Just a theory that might be brought up later.

The thing is none of the other Knights have to deal with this. They should just be removed from that area so it’s not a problem.

Apparently the twisted menders that spawn around blue knight have some pretty powerful heals.

So Anet logic is that to make the 6 min achievement easier is to split up the zerg and have healing minions that can screw up everything? This event has gone from fairly challenging to down right not worth the effort. I no longer have any interest in this event. This event has been fixed so many times and its still not right and do we really have only to the 18th to get this right? The time needs to be extended for people to work on their back pieces. If cores are removed by that date I can guarantee there will be a lot of kittened off people.

There was nothing wrong with the zerg. The real problem was not getting loot. But the 6 min achievement should be able to be gotten by zerg with origination.

I really want to get back into my thief but going full berserker just leaves me way too squishy then I normally would like. I’ve been getting back into fractles with my guardian and my thief has yet to get any ascended jewelry. Right now I just have berserker stat crafted jewelry.

I was thinking if I switched to the Knight stat ascended jewelry, I could give myself a big boost in toughness without sacrificing too much power or precision. I would loose a bit of critical but that’s not as important as my traits I have set up do provide critical chances.

Also the stats ‘of the knight’ would not change my precision and would give me just a bit of toughness.

So suggestions? I’m not sure what I want to do with my thief. My engineer goes into WvW. My Warrior is my main PvE. Guardian I do fractals with. And Necromancer is my Structure PvP. I have yet to really find a place for my Thief either just an alternative PvE or maybe something will come out.

Currently I have 30 points in Critical Strikes, 30 points in Shadow Arts, and 10 points in Acrobatics. Focusing mostly on stealth based combat.

Can I make my berserker work with just a few trait changes? Would toughness not be such a bad thing? All I know is I want to play my thief more and those that play thief as there main may understand. It a fun class. Any help would be appreciated.

There is NO POSSIBLE WAY for Small Guild to do Bounties. Anet is catering and licking the boots of big guilds. Small Guild our screwed when it comes to this new content.

Not Enough Time
Bounties Have too large a root and too hard to find.
It is not logical to find every bounty in advanced and then hope we get the right one and go to the right place.

On a good day we have about 12 people. Granted this was our first time but we spent a good chuck of the time running around to find the Bounty. The time should scale with your active guild size. And even then it seems impossilbe to do the higher tier bounties if your a small guild.

Anet is destroying Small Guild communities. Please don’t kill us. Some of us have been playing for 7 years on Guild Wars and we like our small communities. We shouldn’t have to recruit hundreds of members just to enjoy this new content. I don’t want to just be a number. I want to spend time and enjoy myself with my friends and do this new content with them.

The problem with participating in a Guild Mission another guild started is that you don’t get the real reward. You get some reward but no chest which contain exotic weapons. Considering this is what most people are after while the new content would be fun it would be better if you got something out of it.

When Guild Wars first introduced the ability to join Multiple Guilds it made scence that your going to have your friends that you PvE with and the friends that you PvP with or WvW with. It just made natural scence. But now you are praticaly demanding you join a large guild just for this new content.

When the Guesting Feature was introduced this further the development of having an expansive guild. Not everyone needed to represent, not everyone needed to be on the same server. WvW with the server you want, and guest to your friends for PvE.

But now with the new Guild Missions not only do you have to be on the server but now you have to represent. The entire Guild Freedom is taken away in an instant.

I also remember reading somewhere in the preivews that Guilds of all sizes would be able to participate in these new missions.

Yet with the way this is structured it will take a long time for smaller guilds to even begin to start the basic first guild missions. This system glorifies larger guilds where you are just a number and nothing else. Smaller communities and close friends is what makes guild wars enjoyable.
Even the largest of guilds still have enough influence left over after all the upgrades so the agrument that you need something to spend your influence on is mute.

This system will create a lot of problems including guild recruitment and co-operative play. While anyone will be able to join in these new events the real reward everyone is after, the possibility of getting a precurser, will only be availible to the guild hosting the event. So anone in the map at the time will probably ask for an invite.
I have no problem with this being a method for recruitment as it dose provide opprotunity to get to know people. But how many people are going to join only to leave after they get the chest is probably going to be high. And if you are a large guild with over 500 members the market of precursers is going to be flooded either way. The statistics for getting a precurser from Guild Missions should be only slightly higher then world chest as they are right now. Maybe a garentee of at least one exotic is high enough reward to make Guild Missions rewarding to do.

Most people including myself are just in it for the content. They could care less about precursers or any amount of money or reward. We want to try out this new stuff with our friends because we play this game exactly for that reason. And new content always brings your exsisting friends closer together.

Solution: Remember Guild Halls? Remember how much money one had to spend in order to get a Merchant and other services in Guild Wars 1? This is where the big infulence should come in. Not owning the guild hall itself. That should still be gold currency. But Merchants, Armor, Crafting stations, and various services could be added with influence to customize your Guild Hall.

The Guild Missions is for new content that everyone should be able to experience and get rewarded wheather they are in your guild or not. Higher chances of exotic weapons for Guild members while others who join in still get something. And seeing your guild sponsering these events and doing them often will make others want to try joning your guild.

The current system will only drive those new to guild wars to find larger guild and be just a number. Possibly making a few friends here and there but trying to get anyones attention to help you out in a larger guild is usually difficult.

As for Smaller guilds joining together? Anyone else remember the arguments of leadership in Alliances? How Alliances fell apart due to ones leadership. In order to merge one guild into another someone is going to have to give up their position as a Leader. You loose the name of the guild and everything you built up to then. So either they should bring back the alliance system with shared influence or make the merging process have the ability to keep most of the stuff you have already earned without loosing everything.
