I would just be happy if they gave those with a bound eternity the two individual skins of the eternal sunrise/twilight so that we could choose which one to use instead of having our weapon change every day night cycle.

That eternal twilight would look so cool on my reaper but having it constantly switch to sunrise half the time ruins the aesthetic

So whats everyones Reaper gonna look like?

Remove all of these individual unlock trait requirements. Then on each map highlight 5+ areas like vistas/skill points/hearts. Completing each one of these gives you a “trait unlock point” and you use that point to unlock any trait of your choosing. WvW could unlock traits by capping a tower or gaining a wvw level. PvP would unlock the traits by finishing part of a reward tract.

You can even gate these unlocks by having different levels of maps provide different tiers of unlocks, where cursed shore would unlock 11-13 traits and newbie areas would unlock the 1-3 traits. 20+ zones could unlock 4+, etc.

This would encourage players to travel and explore, and give them a painless but fun way to feel progression and play their way.

I keep reading this part does this mean traits will be unlocked when you level now or do we still have to do the chores.

Regarding unlocking traits, the New Player Experience will effectively be exactly the same, except in the way it’s presented to players.

Awesome, so arenannet has completely ignored the 41 page feedback post where every single player has told you guys that the trait system you put in in april is completely broken and makes leveling miserable for everyone! Thanks guys!

Also making new players wait to play the personal story now is horrible

I am leveling up my last character, and I have 5 trait points right now and nothing to spend them on because of this stupid unlock system, and now I have to do a ton of mindless zone completions and other stuff that I do not want to do or break down and spend 43 gold and 360 skill points for what would have been~ 4 gold before the patch!?!

I will say this now, unlocking 65 individual traits on each new character is stupid stupid stupid, and I bet any new player would rather quit when they experience the mindless grind to make their characters viable, instead of staying and leveling up their new character to level 80.

I will tell anyone looking into joining this game to stay away until you fix this horrible trait system.

Hey everyone,

This is a wording bug not a content issue. The design behind the dungeon tracks was that players would need to run the track multiple times to get the entire set of weapons and armor.

19 – weapons
18 – pieces of armor (6 light, 6 medium, and 6 heavy)

Upon completing a track you will get 3 weapons and 1 piece of armor all your choice including stat combo. Upon running the track multiple times you are able to either save tokens for legendary or use tokens to speed the process up of getting the full weapons/armor set you are working towards.

The fact the text says “set” is a mistake that we are going to update soon. Any other questions just let me know.

If the final number of weapons and armor are so close, why not just make it so you get 2 pieces of armor and 2 weapons from each tract? Because right now with your math we are going to end up with a huge redundant pile of 40+ weapons in order to complete all of the sets of armor.

Or how about when we get to one of the 4 reward boxes in the tract we can choose either a weapon or armor box?

So basically if you want to get a full set of armor you end up with 18 weapons? That is way out of wack especially since weapons cost more dungeon tokens in pve. This has to be a bug.

I didn’t think it was fun, I did it once and I am never going back into that kittenhole again. Its just a long annoying grind to get to the top of filled with their favorite 1shot mechanics that go off enough that its a pain in the kitten to rez other players. Go in a zerg and even though everyone rezzes half of the players give up since its so slow and messy.

They should have made the actual tower crawl have interesting mechanics instead of filling it with too many veterans and 1 shot exploding plants.

See you guys in 2 weeks, hopefully the game will be worth playing by then.

Actually I love this release a lot more than the last one. There is just so much cool new stuff in it, and its just a lot more challenging than the last one which is great.

And just playing through all of the huge new zones, it really hits home that this game is really not like any MMO I have ever played before. What other game can put out such huge old school mini game like this? Even in infantile mode it is really a sight to behold going through world 2.

You should be proud of what you have done, just don’t kill yourself doing it. 16 hour days, ugh.

World 2+ Let Us Pick Completed Checpoints Too

Just like the tittle says, when we are in the hub and we are picking the difficulty, world, and zone, we should also be able to pick the completed checkpoint we have already done.

I am personally fine with the difficulty of world 2, but the zones are just a lot longer and grueling than world 1 ever was. It would be great to have our completed checkpoints saved, so that for those who do not have 2+ hours free, we can hop back in right where we left off when we log in again.

Like a lot of players, I have a ton of different skins collecting dust in the bank because I do not want to lose my ability to go back and use those skins if the need arises. So how about making a new tab where we can save the skins of these items?

This new tab would work a lot like the new achievement Zenith weapon skins. Clicking a “Archive Skin” button in the tab would change your cursor to a mini lock box and you can click on any weapon/armor in your inventory and have it’s skin permanently saved for future use and the original item would remain unchanged. The tab would also have 2 slots to store the different kinds of transmutation stones.

Then when someone wants to withdraw a skin you can search through weapon and armor types that you have saved. Then you select the one you want and a confirmation box would open up asking what level the skin would be (1-79) or (80), and a copy of the skin would arrive in your inventory for use just like the zenith skins and the relevant transmutation stone would be use up.

Granted special thought would have to be used when it comes to legendary and high ranking exotic weapons, but this new system would make it a lot more easier to change our looks and be a solid step forward to a flexible wardrobe system.

I completely agree. I was heading into this patch completely hoping to spend $100 on gems to try and get that aetherblade rapier that might have been coming out for my mesmer. But after these stupid nurfs that crippled my favorite play style, Arenanet has lost me as a customer.

If they want me back they better make changes and fast.

I would love to buy them, but they are fugly. The light armor set is especially hideous.

If they put up armor sets like Lady Kasmeer’s feathered armor I would buy 5-6 sets of the kitten thing.

I just see temporary content on this scale as a massive waste. The dungeon and the story line are fun, but why spend 3+ months of mostly lackluster content, only to dangle something actually fun in front of us for less than 2 weeks and then trash it?

It just seems like you could have done a lot more to make this game more solid in the long run by focusing on permanent stuff.

WTB SAB Full Access Pass, Paying 800+ gems

SAB has been my favorite thing put in this game so far. I would personally love to be able to buy a full access pass to the SAB so that I could get in any time I wanted to, not just when new content for it comes out.

Sure take out the skins, and the ability to buy bauble bubbles, but let those who want the content be able to pay a little bit extra to get it.

As someone who loves your jumping puzzles, this is an absolute blast. So please please make this permanent, even if the rewards are only available for one month out of the year. I am seriously having so much fun doing this without the clouds.

But if you can’t do that, please put up a purchasable “key” in the gem store that guarantees year round access. I would happily pay 1000 gems for permanent access here.

Order weapons are more or less account bound even if they don’t say so. Just buy it and put it in the bank and another char can pick them up. I got a whispers staff on my vigil mesmer.

Armor from the different orders is soulbound to specific characters though, so no trading that.
