Here’s my main, Odin the Wanderer, a Norn who travels Tyria defending its inhabitants and hunting dragons. He lives on as the successor to my GW1 Paragon: Anhangare Av Odin (Follower of Odin). During one of Odin’s travels through the mists, he happened upon and inspired a human traveler from the past to defend and protect those who need it.

What’s your mesmer’s name?! I love that focus and the more subtle mesmer theme you chose to go with, as opposed to the theatrical theme you see more often. Reminds me of a certain Water Dancer from GoT ;D
I’m not particularly fond of the headpiece, though. But everything else is great imo: 8/10

Neither can I!

I am between a casual and hardcore player. I mained Guardian from day 1, played about 1400 hours and got burned out working on my Juggernaut about a year and a half ago. Just hopped back into the game for the release of HoT and finished up my Juggernaut last weekend.
Now I can’t decide if I should stick with my Rev which I leveled to 80 or my Guardian. I want to pick one to complete a set of ascended armor and weapons on, get to high Fractal levels, Raids, etc. I want something that I can use my new Juggernaut on that uses it well. And I want something that can compete in all three areas of the game.
I love the Guardian’s flavor: Take the enemies focus, bash them, while looking back over your shoulder to shout words of encouragement to your allies. Holy flames. etc.
But, I mained Rit and Monk in GW1.. and I feel like Revenant is ANet’s Ritualist solution.. It doesn’t “feel” like a ritualist too much though, but it kind of has that lore associated with it. And Rev can definitely provide support to a team through Glint, Dwarf and Ventari.. It just doesn’t feel as magical (like Rit and Monk) as Guard does..
Anyone else who was in my situation, but has since had one of the two click? And of course, thanks!

Here’s Odin Der Wanderer – my heavy armored ritualist.

Each time it happened, we had her killed by one of the Gravelings. It didn’t reset it any of the times. And, no the Ghost she talks to doesn’t appear. It seems like she is “not getting in position” to talk to the ghost. She will basically just follow whoever last talked to her around the room for forever.

I ran it again last night to try my luck and it finally worked (we skipped Kholer and the Ooze outside the gate), so I have no idea what was bugging it at this point.

Just ran it once again. Same thing happened again (for the 5th time in a row) in the Ghost Eater room. Think this has anything to do with my specific character?

Ah, thanks for the link. I’ll take a look. Yeah, what happens when she’s bugged out is she will start to follow anyone around (not just the party leader) if you “f” talk to her.

So, here it goes:

The past two days, I have run AC (path 2, specifically) 4 times. Every time, Detha has bugged out forcing us to start over or move on. Three out of the four times she bugged out at the Ghost Eater and the other time she bugged out by the spike traps. Each time, she fails to start the event (i.e. no cut-scene, so no event starts).

We’ve tried getting her killed (resurrecting and having her rubber-band), doing every pre-event that pops up (Kholer, graveling burrow, etc), killing all of the oozes in front of the Ghost Eater room (one time, we even went back and tried to kill every enemy on the map), etc. I have tried everything. I have no idea what the issue is, but it’s really annoying and also dis-heartening when my group runs path 1 with no problems, moves on to path two just to have it bug for us twice in a row.

Are there any solutions that you have found? And any developers out there, do you know what causes Detha to bug out and when can we expect a fix? I understand that there probably is no way we could ever be compensated with Tears for these bugged runs, so it’s just getting to me that these issues first popped up over a month ago (if I remember correctly) and we still haven’t seen a fix. In fact, it seems to me that it’s becoming more and more buggy.

In my case I got two Norn females with whom I attempted to give a more or less “serious” name, they are:

Keeyma Ultharyn (Guardian), which is pronounced Kee-ma (‘y’ is mute) Ulth-areen.
Meirhynn Valyad (Mesmer), which is pronounced May-reen Val-ee-ad.

I like Keeyma Ultharyn. Ultharyn reminds me of Ulfvarrin a name I used in GW1. (pronounced similarly)

All my characters are norn -_- I have 8. But, my favorite is Odin Hárbardr (hoary-beard/grey-beard my necro), Odin the Wanderer (my ranger), Fenrirr Lokison (my thief).

I love Norse mythology.

1. The one-handed auto-attack chain is horrendous. If anything, please please please, at least change the 3rd strike where you’re stabbing awkwardly down and at the middle with your arm all twisted.

2. Make the other transform skills on par with Snow Leopard form.

Spent 3 hours on the event. Glitched through the ground into the lava on the final fight. Couldn’t connect with server when I waypointed. Logged back in and got no loot. Seriously upset.

1 before this event. Now I’m at a 2. I’ll never be at a 3, but I might get to 2.99999 if I don’t get the loot that I earned.

3. If you would not buy trading post material/gamble, would you support direct to buy weapon skins and what general price do you find acceptable from a business standpoint both as a customer and realizing that they must make money as a business?

Yes. I would.

4. Do you believe that future events will also be handled with random number generation to make profit based on limited time item acquisition?

I don’t know.

5. If you believe that the future events will be handled in the same manner, does this realization negatively effect your trust of Arena Net in regard to handling micro transactions for permanent content?
