Apparently my guild died while I was gone. Wasn’t sure if there was some new zones/bosses to explore that had been added since I was gone.
So I took a little break, before I left I was in full exotics with some fractal mixed in. I had got the gear and weapons skins I wanted and was farming for my legendary. I’ll pick back up on the farming, but what’s new other than the living story stuff I should be checking out.?
As someone that doesn’t pvp alot I finally succumbed to boredom after completing my personal story, all dungeons and doing a ton of scenarios. I started collecting for my legendary but casually. I love the game but I like raids and for me personally that’s whats missing to keep me engaged. Actual instanced raids. Maybe they could drop cosmetic items, Armor / Wep skins. Just my thoughts.
I went to hoarfrost and Black Citadel but the refugee coordinator doesn’t have anything for me?
I missed the first two introductions of this. Is it to late to start? So far the refugee npc’s only tell me all is well.

It may be I will eventually find a group for level1 but so far its been frustrating to say the least. What concerns me a little more is that this may be the gateway dungeon for the next dungeon they implement. I’ll roll with what ever they throw at me, I just wish they had implemented it a little different I guess.
It seems there are a couple people that share your concern, maybe you folks should group together?
Hopefully, I’m not giving up, just voicing a concern. I still love the game.

Yesterday was the first chance I had to run the new dungeon. And it never happened, no one wants to start from level 1, or carry someone with no current experience with it. I can’t blame them but it sucks when you just want to jump in a group and go. After two hours I just logged off, now someone said everyone resets to level 1 every week? If that’s the case maybe I can try then.
I’m also curious If fractal gear will be needed to compete in future dungeon releases. If say future dungeon X has the agony mechanic from the start so you need to run fractals first.

If you think it’s great that anyone quits an MMO, which relies on other players to be any fun at all, you’re the one pumping yourself with moral support for your bad decisions.
Never said it was great, just that I don’t see the point of I quit threads with a F2P model. Guessing your another I quit poster from your tone. I don’t mind saying I’m enjoying the game, but OP’s post might have done more good in the suggestions forum, Id like to see some of the same things he would.

I had to work Friday, so missed the event start. I tried to start it last night but the npc’s were bugged and I couldn’t complete any of them. Got home today and now phase 1 is locked out. Was there any rewards I missed out on? And is completing all phases required for possible rewards in phase 3?
Is it just me or does this not look as black as it once did? If you are in the character screen where you dye your armor it is pitch black, but in game it is now a dark grey? Anyone else notice this?
So far I just can’t find many advantages to being in a guild at all. And I really enjoy the guild aspect of mmo’s, but with GW2 at least there is nothing to really band together against (PvE wise) I played EQ, WoW and both had ways to make you want to find a guild and get out there to fight dragons together. It was a bonding experience, but I have not felt that at all in this game. I love GW2! but there just isn’t any raids that you have to have 20-40 people to complete. I still play with some friends and we made a small guild but its just more of a social chat room. Until there is a real reason to have a dedicated guild I doubt many people will take it seriously.
^ Cool I will, and thanks for the reply. I suppose thats why the Destroyer daggers never seem to sell and Corrupted are always off the shelf most days. Destroyers costs a arm and a leg to it seems.
Seems the consensus is corrupted, figured everyone would like destroyer more. Lord knows destroyer costs a lot more.

Thanks for the replies, yea it seems that Corrupted is also cheaper at the moment to. I’m using the CoF exotic gear so not sure if it would look wonky with flame armor and ice daggers (or that could be cool to). Ha cosmetics were always a after thought for me in other games because I “had” to get the better stat items, kinda nice to pick and choose for myself! Anyone know which has the better particle effects?
I got lucky with a Halloween drop, so I can finally afford one of these daggers. Problem is I like them both! Which one do you guys like better? Not sure of particle effects on either atm.

I have to agree as well! I’ve played a lot of mmo’s but this event was the best I’ve experienced. You can tell they put a lot of effort into it.
Been in game for 3 hours and havn’t seen anything. People were saying the event to re-spawn them is bugged?

Yea you can just click on a linked item and hit preview or ctrl click, And I WISH there was a TP preview option hehe. I believe I saw a dev post a while back that said they were possibly working on it? Not sure
Ahh ok ty, I saw two sets of gear for tokens and thought maybe you got tokens in story mode to get the cheaper version and different tokens for the better looking gear.
I’ve been waiting to run the dungeons, but quick question I had was, are the tokens different for story mode vs Explorable? Not quite sure how it works, Thanks!

My own fault I admit it up front. Earlier today I saw a cool dagger called Corrupted Shard. So I went to gw2db.com to check out possible other daggers that might have the same skin. I found 6! So naturally I hit up the Bazaar and found two Shaman Etched daggers for 1g a pop. Needless to say those daggers DO NOT share the same graphic. Like I said I take the blame but if any of you skin hunters out there use some sort of database, be warned.
It would be GREAT to have a preview option in the Bazaar.
I’ve been a raider for the last 10 years (New dad so retired lol), I’m looking for a adult guild with mainly level 80 toons I can run with thats laid back but is still somewhat goal oriented in game. Thanks!
All the DE’s going on is alot of fun so far, just curious since I see a ton of people here..Is the main point of Orr to farm DE’s in the hopes of getting loot and gaining karma?

I generally have no lag issues but Ive noticed when I’m at Splintered Coast people seem to be teleporting around? Not everyone just a select few that never seem to participate in events. Either Im lagging or something else is wrong. Still is there a latency meter?
Also I have one other question, when you pull up the menu options screen in game, at the bottom left corner there is this: “GW2 15,662” what does that number represent?

I found the problem, If you go into your folder you will see the corrupted files Just deleted those and started again. Its working now. I should have looked closer earlier and I could have avoided the re install lol. Thank you for the help though.

Great game so far, I havn’t experienced any bugs and I’m not really worried about it. As I know they will be addressed. Personally I’m loving the Story mode dungeons and the personal story quests. One of the best games I’ve played this year easily.
And OP the good news is that its sub free, so if your bored you can always play a game that you enjoy and come back to this later. Or you can spend time on the forums of a game that you don’t like. =)

Thank you both for the replies! I’ll have to give it a try later today. And I may drop LW as you said and pick up something else, since at the moment it seems I can upgrade from the TP for pretty cheap.
I picked up leather working and weapon smith, when I first started. What I’m discovering is that 1-75 on each craft I’m coming up short. Since both crafts require some of the same fine materials. That and I don’t think I fully understand/utilize the discovery process enough. Over so many years of mmo’s basically having you “make XX amount of one item” to level I just automatically did the same here, which was my fault. What do I need to do in order to level crafting more efficiently? Also should I drop say, leather working and pick up something else instead? Possibly Jewel crafting for money gains?
I love all aspects of the game so far, but I suppose I need to do some research in crafting, since its not coming to me as easily as I see it is to most on the forums with crafts already at 400.
