Guild Wars 2

I’ve updated my preferences and will be contacting a few of the guilds that replied.

So many awesome guilds. I wish you all well with your progress.

What exactly is the required amount of players to start a guild mission? Can anyone give me an answer for this? I may just adjust the type of guild that I’m looking for.

I’m currently looking for a guild stricly in Blackgate. I will not be transferring to other servers anymore as I already did from Sea of Sorrows (at least not for a while). Unless you don’t mind me Guesting for quite a while.

• I’m looking for a medium-sized guild of about 20 or more active and representing. An active and PvE-focused guild (some PvP/WvW), high level upgrades with either close to unlocking Guild Missions or already unlocked at least one.

• A guild with players that takes exploits seriously (no exceptions) and doesn’t try to speed run everything like the content didn’t matter. Would be great to find one with players actively running dungeons and also practices some patience while in it.

• Be a mature community with respectful players. I don’t see any reason for me to insult anyone at all, nor should you. Ever find yourself in that situation? Take a break, please.

• I understand most guilds have issues with representation. All I’m asking for is to allow me to switch to my WvW-focused guild from time to time. I mainly do PvE content, anyway.

• Please be an NA-based guild. (USA) My Timezone is PST.

• I’m also trying to avoid a guild with closed circle of friends. That’s a major turn-off for me and a lot of other players that want to be part of the guild and it’s members. This tend to promote favoritism so don’t bother posting your AD if you have this going on.

• An active website to view more information about the guild would be nice. I believe a guild website is a valuable tool for communication outside of the game. You can’t consider yourself as an established and organized guild without one.

• VOIP’s aren’t a must, but it’s a plus. Only reason I say that is because my new headset that’s supposedly comfortable is crushing my head. It becomes very uncomfortable after not even an hour of use.

Now about myself as a player: I’m actually a pretty casual player with plenty of time on his hands. I try to be as helpful as possible to new players asking for knowledge. I’m always willing to help run/guide through a dungeon if I’m experienced enough in it. Overall, I’m not as social as others may think, but I can be very helpful in the game unless I have my focus on something else.

We are now starting our run for Fractals of the Mist.

All I see are members who don’t care. What difference would it make if representation becomes permanent? They’ll continue to play on their alt characters or ignore guild activities completely. You’re better off recruiting more and better active members for your guild. Sounds like you want to force your members how and what to play their game already. Let them play the game how they want..it’s a game after all.

If you ever choose to switch, come join us at Sea of Sorrows. We’re rebuilding and the only way to keep an active guild is have active players such as yourself.

He’s on his character while appearing online. Your answer is close but there’s still something missing about it.

I understand that if you’re at the character selection screen, you will appear online. But it’ll only show the person’s account and no character name.

My case is the player becomes ‘frozen’ as being online (At least that’s what it looks like) and without any progress. Their location stays to where it is for days when they ‘log off.’ They’re also online in my Friends List and I could invite them to a party, but they never accept.

Logged in players are disconnected after a certain amount of time, correct? For me it was 7 to 8 minutes after I set my status to ‘Away.’ But I think it still varies.

I’m experiencing some weird issue right now. My guildmate is showing as online after he logs off, but he’s supposed to be offline already. He’d be ‘on’ for more than 2 days sometimes without responding to anything. I’m also still able to whisper to him, but no response. His location stays to where he ‘logs off’ of.

When he is active, his location changes, responds in guild chat and participates in our dungeon runs.

I can’t decide whether he is using a third-party program or if it’s a bug. Or maybe he just stays silent consistently and would wake up just to keep his character online.

There was another guildmate that this was happening to and he never responded at all for weeks even after mailing or whispering to him. His character would stay logged in for more than 2 days sometimes so I removed him from the guild out of suspicion.

It would be great to get an answer to this. Thank you.

Having a blacklist will just cause more problems than anything. You can’ judge a person later on after being blacklisted as the player may have changed attitude. If his/her name is still in the blacklist, do you think that would be good for that player then? You’re permanently labeling them with a negative title as other players see this list.

If the invited player doesn’t suit your guild, then simply remove them and move on. Just remember to not invite him anymore unless the issue has somehow been resolved. And if you have issues with botting, hacking or scamming, report them to ANet.
