Ok seems there is solution and the price for it, given by Orpheal.

Then racial change feature can be solved with a playable racial tonic that gives you the ability to temporary transform into your desired race with same gear/weapon as you have but modified for the selected race adapted style.
This would be more cheaper and it’s temporary , and let’s you use your race’s unique abilities in pve

I would like to see an extremely makeover kit that could do this , for big sum of gems of course . I also agree with Orpheal that you can buy a new slot character and start again the character, but if you want to use the name from the previous character then there is a problem. And for this could be a switch between 2 character names orb or something in gem store .

I agree that there should be racial tonics to feel in the selected race’s body.
And be a copy of your armor skins (light,medium,heavy) to the temporary-transmuted-race-selection tonic.

Watchknight tonic is a good example, it has battle moves, emotions, and you can see your weapon and use skills with human movement style, but you can only stay a few minutes in it and recharge time is high, this is only sad thing about it

I agree with the idea that ascended rings that you get from fractals to be salvaged and the infused ones after salvage to give and +1 agony resistance.

Then the suggestion title is wrong…

I too would like this issue to be fixed with the behind door damage thing. I would add also for the Boiling Pot to be permanent and not destroyable so that when a zerg enters the tower or some other building , besides the group that take defence position inside , and 2-3 people to be able to use boiling pot to give some damage also to those who enter, as a last defence barrier

1. We already have the 3 orders that you can choose and there are somehow factions , like Luxons or Kurzicks in GW1.
I do not like the idea to be 2 separate groups of players cause it could cause unballance. (one faction could have more players in it than other faction)
2. Reminds me of WoW… did not like open PvP and PvE combined.
As i know , duel system is on developers list in future to add in game.
3. You can report someone for being bad
4. Better is not sometimes good.. too much stats for exampleor higher damage on weapons could cause unballance in combat system.. See WoW with many stats from items and how some classes from there do more damage than others.. For me it was ok GW1 cause it was stable on stats/damage system and GW2 at this moment untill ascended stats is good and legendary is more for skin just.
5. PvE maps come in time.. just be patient.. (Southsun Cove for example was available after a living story) Plus actual maps are modified depending on living story. Do not agree with open PvP .. If you want PvP , you can either go to the Heart of the Mists and choose a battleground , or go in WvWvW which is large scale battlegrounds
6.You have housings in each race’s capital city and primary house in your chosen race’s capital city
7. Do not like the “traditional quest” way… I like the quest with living events system from GW2
8. Sure.. since the game is in other languages available, i do not see a problem with this.

I have another idea. Why not add an xp. Share like from Pokemon you can linked to and alt and and every xp your 80 gets, your alt gets a fraction of that.

I too do not see it necessary.
This is why there are lots of waypoints around maps in pve.
And world vs world vs world maps are not that big to necessary have a mount.
Last thing is the 25% increase speed from traits/signets/rune of traveler and 33% increase speed while having swiftness buff .

I somehow agree that guardian needs a 25% speed signet/trait and others who do not have it.

And as I know.. there is only dolyac as capable mount.. (from hoelbrak screenshot you can see norn who ride dolyac)

Elementalist combat improvement suggestions

I would like to suggest some ideas for a elementalist that would be cool to have later in game :

Candy Atuument (since there are candy corn elementals every year on Haloween since gw1 untill today at gw2 , why not have and candy atuument ?)

Candy Atuument could be available for elementalists permanent , or just on Haloween meta-events every year for pve,pvp,wvwvw .

Candy element skills could be around giving boons to enemy but after the effect ends, it gets conditions . Like candy rush , you get 10 % more speed while active, but when it ends , you get candy crash and skills will recharge 50% longer.

A few ideas for this using staff: skill/ boon/ condition :
- throw a candy corn at enemy that melts (could be 1st skill)/7 % speed while active/ -16 % skill recharge rate
- envelop enemy in candy apple sauce (skill 5)/ 20 % reduced damage while active/ -33 % speed movement
- create candy slippery wall on ground / invulnerable 1 second while passing through it / become immobilized 3 seconds and cannot use skills (skill 2)
- envelop nearby allies in candy armor (maximum 5 included caster) / – 7% direct damage and immune to cripple (boon) / receive regeneration boon (6 seconds) (boon) (this is only one that offers boons for allies)

Other is adding swap weapon (not atuument) posibility so that those that use staff( long-range combat) , could change to scepter or dagger(middle-range combat) (close-range combat) .
Or if swap could be available only between staff/daggers or staff/dagger-focus it would be welcome.

Last suggestion would be to reduce recharge time on conjured weapons . even with 2 seconds would be welcome. (at least for skills 3-4-5) .
Or conjured weapons to be affected by master trait with 20% reduced recharge time on a atuument skills (could be air for lightning hammer , fiery axe for fire, magnetic shield for earth, frost bow for water) , and only available for caster

A client for Linux

The problem is other.. If you as linux user don’t buy a game to play it , how could the game developers know you want to use it on Linux OS …. (most known is Ubuntu) . Only by buying the game (that you like it) and then make a request on a thread on forum and say that you bought it and would appreciate to be available besides Windows (and now Mac) , for Linux also. This should be more relevant information than any marketshare.

Let’s take example of the 1% that is said through this thread, how do you know if you aren’t the one who has 0,65% and others have 0,07% ,0,12,% and so on ? Or how do you know if by entering this market , you don’t increase the total percentage , given that there are requests ?

In my opinion, a game , even at the scale of GW2, should not be restricted in one OS (I mean here Windows before Mac client announcement) .
Having it available to all known OS (in this case Windows , Mac OS, Linux) could be a unique thing.

Let’s think otherwise… investing on making a OS client available is only one time thing, after this only updates,fixes , and this could lead to other things..
Some of those are : reduce game quit (because of moving to other OS that game doesn’t have client for it), increase game clients (because of possibility of choose an OS), opportunity to test different OS to gameplay, increased FPS and better gameplay environment.

From February 2013 I quit using Windows and moved to Linux Ubuntu, and run the game through Wine in x64 .

As information through Wine gameplay x64 I could say :
- staying in cities (21-25 FPS)
- PvE world (16-26)
- dungeons work at 18-25 FPS , even Fractals , but not as perfect as 35+ in Windows
- WvWvW works while not being in major groups or get into combat with large enemy groups (15-25 FPS) , if this happens , it could be from 8-14 FPS or worse 2-5 FPS.

As last informations :
- as gaming on Linux , with heavy known games, started from February 2013 through Steam and are still making Windows and Mac games work on Linux
- started to see proprietary programs being available to buy through Ubuntu Software Center (like the Windows Market from Microsoft) , besides the open-source alternatives
- Linux was build with security first-hand in mind, no anti-virus programs (and updates for versions are with no cost), meaning for programs faster loading and for games better gameplay experience . In this situation I could say about Mac OS same thing(only don’t know if it has same update method), only that most Mac OS are on Apple devices or Apple computers best.
- there are players that might want this client but didn’t enter forum and reply
- let’s not forget also about those who use dual-boot only to play GW2 on best gameplay possible at the moment and use Linux (Ubuntu) on other daily things, hoping that one day they could only stay in Linux.
