Action Camera Autoattack (Glitch?)

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Hey, I wasn’t 100% sure where to report this, or if it even counts as a bug as much as a slight quality of life issue.
The autoattack on the action camera has a tendency to interrupt some skills, which I assume is an issue with skill queuing (or however you call it). For example, on my guardian if I keep left click held my whirling wrath and hunter’s ward tend to get interrupted by my autoattack. So far I just need to remember to stop holding down the left click when I want to use those moves, but it just feels a tad bit off; and I’m sure others might have experienced similar behavior with other skills.

I’m already calling it the Avenger for myself and among my friends,
but where did you read that it was initially going to be called that? Link?

Why Green?

Yea, I’m a little dissapointed that they used a dark green for the Shiro energy bar, I mean sure Jade is green but Shiro’s general color scheme is overwhelmingly a Fiery orange, red, and yellow combination. Just look at his symbol which looks practically seared in flame. http://wiki.guildwars.com/images/2/23/Harbinger_of_the_Deceiver.png

I was really expecting the Energy bar to turn into a Fiery Orange, and we would have had a good variety of colors for the Rev stances (Blue, Purple, Green and Red/Orange). Instead they just doubled up on green. I know changing the animation for the energy bar requires a good amount of effort, but I hope the dark green isn’t the final choice and there’s still some time to change it to match his usual color scheme and symbol.

You know, I just realized
technically in the HoT trailer we have a character acting very vindictive towards the Sylvari, acting as one would imagine a “Dragon Hunter” would act, saying “you can’t trust Sylvari, they belong to the dragon now.” So there, Rytlock the first character we see acting like a dragon hu… * interrupted by whispers *
what’s that?
*whisper * whisper *
He was a warrior?
*more whispers pointing out the obvious *
And now he’s a Revenant?

So he never had anything to do with Guardians?

Hm… Something’s amiss…

(PS: just thought that was funny)

Liked the ready up, name still doesn't fit.

If they really wanted to drive home the “we seek justice against the dragons in particular” theme, I feel calling it “Dragonbane” or “Dragonslayer” would have been better choices. Still generic… But at least it wouldn’t invoke the hunter image, or the lame idea of a “big-game hunter” which they referred to and I dislike because I feel like calling someone a “big-game hunter” invokes the image of someone hunting for sport. The idea should be that they bring justice to dragons because it’s what the world needs, not because they’d make a nice trophy on my wall (which is the idea the current name creates).
So if they want to stick to the “bring justice to the dragons” at least change it to Dragonbane or something… (And get rid of references to big-game hunting that don’t really match the overall concept…)

add Tome of Wrath’s AoE knockdown (or at least that cool animation) to that Shout
and I think we’d have a deal

Currently, the idea of “Feel My Wrath” seems a little boring to me. Though I know the theorycrafters would love it, but I like flash and flavor, not just numbers…

An Elite skill should LOOK elite, and have presence and be noticeable when it’s been used.

PS: as for Signet of Courage, depending on the animations that sounds like a pretty cool idea

I love the concept of this Elite Specialization mechanics wise
however, the name and the “big game hunter theme” doesn’t really work for me (and evidently a lot of people), and within the context of what we’ve seen in the blogpost we can also see other better options besides “Dragonhunter” (it’s not that it’s a “TERRIBLE” name, but that it doesn’t fit what’s presented)

Now, with that said, my vote goes to renaming it:

  • Arbiter

Reasons, quoted from the video and the blog post:
“Virtue of Justice is now a thrown spear that pierces through all unworthy foes
so we have the theme of Judging unworthy foes with this one, and I’d imagine that we could have similar interpretations of possible traps, such as the healing trap having a positive effect on allies (Judged worthy) and negative a effect on enemies (Judged unworthy)
“I must be relentless as Justice itself”
once again, we have the theme of this specialization being not just a defender of justice but an enforcer of justice, such as an Arbiter that “has the sole or absolute power of judging” (reference: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/arbiter)

So yea, it’s been suggested before, but my vote goes to renaming it Arbiter

Fine Crafting materials

in Suggestions

Having seen the sheer amount of fine materials needed for ascended back items (among other mystic forge recipes) I’m really starting to come to the conclusion that there needs to be something done in regards to acquisition rates of these materials (along with other crafting materials such as gossamer scraps and heavy leather). I would suggest maybe having the option to trade dungeon tokens or karma for these (of course the price shouldn’t make it too easy to obtain; for such a reason I’d recommend only making them available in the fractals dungeon vendor). Of course, the other option would be to lower the number of mats needed for the recipes (250 really is a lot), but I have a feeling that making the materials available through an alternative means would be a better solution.

PS: one of the reason I mention this is because I find it odd that to get an item needed for dungeons you have to end up farming for an rng based material…

ok, so the people in my guild don’t seem to have access to the guild armor vender, emblem template, or stash, however, the guild promoter seems to work just fine. So it seems like the game isn’t registering any of the upgrades we have
