Yea I’m with the OP on this one. The flapping kinda turned me off. I’m still gonna get the shattered wings, but I’m certainly not grinding it out for the normal wings (100k zaitaffy!?)
You can buy them from the TP, saves you from collecting 100k zaitaffy.
As for the races. 50 kittening silver? Is ANet that delusional that they think we are all farmers with 100+ gold? Get kittening real here. If I’m betting 50 silver then I fully expect an option to take those stupid ticket things you get and directly exchange it for in game currency. If each Moa (aka Chocobo) has an equal chance of winning and there are 5, then my odds are 1 in 5. If I bet 50 silver and win, then I expect the tickets I get exchange for 2g 50s.
The races are an intended gold sink.

The wings are on TP on my server for 27 gold lol I bought some yesterday when it went down to 40, then bumped up to 64 gold and I sold them making a nice little profit.
Trading post is game-wide.
What I don’t get is, if this person is way pointing, they are spending a heck of a lot of money on it.
Run around the map and get 3 emitters in 5 minutes, or waypoint around and get 3 in a minute – ~4-5s waypoint costs.
Coffers sold for 13s a piece in the beginning, now for 5s. With 1-4 coffers dropping from an emitter, do the math
You pretty much have to use the jumping puzzles, the drop rate on badges is as bad as the drop rate for everything else in the game.
I killed 35 people and got 3 badges out of it a couple days ago, that’s unacceptable.
hadn’t wvwvw in a while but I got 4 badges from 3 people….
You are probably the kinda guy that goes to las vegas and expects to win money instead of losing it right?
Protip: look at the date of the post you are replying to before becoming judgemental. You would’ve noticed an update was implemented between the time of both posts:
Hey all,
We made some very intentional changes to the way we calculate loot. One of the effects of this change is that there is more loot dropping in WvW. Yay! Increasing the loot in WvW was one of our goals and we’re glad that it’s making some of you happy. Also, just to be sure that we were comfortable with the impact it had on loot in WvW we had our economist do some analysis of the drop rates in WvW after this patch. After looking at his results we’re still comfortable with the changes. On a personal note, I was very happy to get a much better badge drop rate when I played yesterday
Tl;dr: it’s not a bug, enjoy the loot!
Silver Doubloons just went up to 94s.
I’m leaving the game soonish. This is unacceptable.
Already signed up for TESO closed beta.
Silver Doubloons dropped 10s a piece since yesterday. Better cancel that closed beta sign up!
The charrzookas stop being available at the second stage of the fight becuase you don’t need them at that point.
The two things you need to do is destroy the pillars so the golems can get through and kill the ice elementals on the ridges, also to keep the golems alive.
After a set amount of golems get through the Claw gets stunned and only then you run up to it and start shooting it.
The people standing in front of him plinking his head during the entire fight are accomplishing nothing. Even more, since they are not focusing on getting the golems through, the Claw won’t get damaged much at all and the fight is unnecessarily prolonged.

I love what you said, I think they are a bunch of egotistical morons.
And since we have not seen anything else since we called out Anthony for Lying about the “bug fixes” for what they really are, cause we all know what they really are, intentional nerfs, I guess Anet is just gonna continue to ignore us and keep nerfing. They could just MAN UP and say, “hey, we’re sorry, we know what we did was wrong and we can do this, and this, to set it right, and it will take this long…” but no, they want the game to fail. Well, looks like we have like 5 new games coming out this year anyway that look good, I myself am looking forward to ESO, and might check out Wildstar also, was never an Everquest fan, but the new Everquest Next might be something to check out also…
Hey, if they want us to leave, then by all means, we will I guess.
With arguments like these, I really can’t take your post seriously. Do you really think the developers of this game, in which they poured so much time and energy, wilfully want that project to fail, leaving them with no job and so many years of their lives ending up in nothing?

Someone posted a video on youtube showcasing it:
Events like Flame and Frost are indeed not replayable for good, Veirtimid. The majority of the content which falls into the Living Story is temporary.
If you missed the content, you thus could end up with open achievements.
At the moment the Living Story is focused on Southsun:

Deathdance probably misread your ’babelfish’’ comment.
Not that this discussion is going anywhere soon if you both keep this up.
Hmmm, the sales data on spidy doesn’t really show much about the prices going up, which is a good sign. Maybe enough people will be done with this and anet will give up the ghost. One can only hope.
Maybe the increase in gem price is halted because more and more people are converting $$$ to gems, to gold. This would be very profitable for Anet indeed
Two keys dropped for me in the last week. Haven’t had a key drop in months prior to that.
Calling people trolls won’t help your thread progress, Jezath. If you have a problem with a reply, report it and let the mods handle it.
I think being able to be in multiple guilds is a great feature. The main guild of which I am an officer as well has moved from GW1 and I’m mostly representing them while doing PvE and dungeons. I am also part of a separate gamer community that isn’t that active at the moment, which I represent when one of those people wants to play. I’m looking for a WvW guild on my server which I then would represent if I’m in WvW, because my main guild isn’t that much into WvW.
None of these guilds is forcing me to represent them, and only them. I like the freedom of being part of different groups. Limiting me to only be part of one guild would severely hamper my enjoyment of this game, as I would need to go out of my way to find people to play with.
A friend of mine is a commander in WvW and he is part of an additional ‘commander only’ guild. This enables him and all other commanders on my server to quickly see who’s online and call in another commander when calling it a day. Limiting people to one guild only would make this process very complicated.
Okay, thanks for sharing your opinion then I guess.
What makes you think getting rid of the multiple guild thing is what most players want? Got anything to back up that claim?
If most people want to be part of one guild only, they are able to do so already without a problem. There have always been guildhoppers, at least now they can represent your guild when they want to instead of leaving and joining.

Supporting ArenaNet/GW for years? What are you people talking about? Did you send them money every month? As far as I can tell, you bought a piece of entertainment from them, like a proper consumer does from a company. You then enjoy said piece of entertainment by playing the game. In what world is that supporting anyone?
