google GW2 benchmarks, to catch up i5 3,3Ghz you would need to run this FX at like 4,5Ghz+ also AMD FX for games are worse (clock to clock) than older Phenoms II.
Also this FX-8350 has 4 blocks of 2 cores, but each block has only 1 FPU (floating point unit) which is important for things like games

Bulldozer architecture isnt bad it just lack implementation. Devs writing games/programs wont bother (unless you pay them extra) to make program run better on like what 10% of overall CPUs. You write for majority and Intels are this majority.
I have high hopes for incoming expansion and counting that except all the content they add we will see some game engine upgrades (even WoW has DX11 now)

For just slightly more you can get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116991
as to RAM you can check on MSI page, although if you not found it there it doesn’t mean it wont work, but if you find it you will be sure it will
CPU-Z can show you brand of your RAM and timings

TBH I would prefer slower CPU or GPU than computer w/o SSD now.

You are missing the point of adding it anytime you want/can. But when you buy a slower cpu and gpu your money is gone^^

Sure sure and reinstalling system if copy from hdd wont work
Times when I did often had case open and doing something inside past. Now its close, opened once year for cleaning and thats all. And system is changed when I do big upgrade (last WinXP had 6 years)

Same story again. 23.00 I managed to login, it was laggy but didnt get kicked. Around 23.20-30 it become totaly fine. I made pathpings when it was impossible to login (22.06) when it was laggy but possible to login (23.02) and when its OK (00.00) and guess what, same IP’s similar packets lost and ms but difference is between night and day
Since I cant attach 3 files I copy paste it to one

Was giving it a try but I observe myself and I DO play less because if old dailies I get done while generally playing new one I have to spend time on things mostly not planned by me. Often after doing dailies or extra time waiting for some event from it I just logout
Im new player have only 2k AP (so Im mostly interested in this 10AP) so when I get 2x fractals or events in zone I wasnt yet I have to go pvp and sometimes spend a lot of time running getting killed and running back again

What PSU you have if its decent and have enough Ampers on 12V line/s it shount need changing (enough is 400W+ if youwount o/c and more if you would change grapic card and/or o/c)

for around 400 euro I could get in Poland (no idea where you live) haswell i5-4690K + decent Z8x/9x motherboard + 8GB ram (240+80+80 euro) non-K hawell cost 25 euro less
Sell old stuff and buy better grapic card or PSU (depend on which is needed more)

It’s becoming evident that this problem is simply out of ANET’s technical expertise.

Suddenly, your power goes out. People come to you complaining about the power outage. You look around and everyone in the area has no power. What do you do? People are expecting you to fix the problem.

Why should you have to fix the power lines? Why are you expecting ArenaNet to fix your internet?

The servers are not the problem, the route to them is. It’s not just GW2 that is affected but NCSoft’s EU datacenter. Basically, it’s your ISP that is the problem. Specifically, it’s one of the links between your ISP and NCSoft. Do you really want ArenaNet to tell you that? It could take months to resolve this issue depending on the cause. There is a chance that the problem is on NCSoft’s side however and it simply comes down to money. Telia for example could be wanting more money out of them.

As shown a few posts above, use a VPN in an attempt to bypass the problematic networks.

It really do look more like ANet ISP problem and users one. Customers shouldnt need to get other programs/pay for VPN/etc. to play game they bought

If you point on temperature, fan speed, voltages in SpeedFan you will see: last, min, max, and mean. Although this kind of programs might be wrong, saw cases when it looked legit but it wasnt.
On side note: put stick of RAM you removed to your machine and see if problems will be back. If it wont good for you, maybe socket had bad connection, if it will well either stick become damaged somehow and dont want to work in pair or try different slot in case slot become damaged

So lag stroke me today around 18.20 same time as yesterday. It gave up around 23.45 (GMT+1). Ive kept doing pathping -4 -q 100 to IP I know was LA I have 4 files
LAG (20.38 22.23 23.10) and NOLAG (23.52) that shows exactly same trace to that IP. The difference on paper is around 10ms in latency and sometimes 1% in packets lost (marginal I would say) difference in game was lag(10+ sec)/d-c to no-lag at all
since I cant put multiple files I copy paste them to one
I did try GW2 -clientport 80 but that didnt help

8 hops with ~0% packets lots then two with ~100% and last one with ~0% again with all measured times at worse 32ms

could be ram too, do Memtest, generally any artifacts on screen = faulty memory

You’re referring to RAM on the video card. Defective RAM on the motherboard causes freezing and sometimes data corruption, but won’t cause screen artifacts.

can be, saw faulty USB causing graphic artefacts. Computers works mysterious ways sometimes and with 16GB RAM if you cut half still 8GB left, plenty for GW2.
would try different slot for graphic card also

could be ram too, do Memtest, generally any artifacts on screen = faulty memory

Started to me on Sunday afternoon, 1st lags then bigger ones then d/c. I logged past 23 (GMT+1) and had no problems. Today (Monday) I played all day till about 19 when again I begun to have lag spikes and d/c. Tomorrow Im all day at work but will check will I be able to log in in the evening and if when problems disappear
It fixed itself in an hour. I do wonder what causing it
