Let’s see if I got it:

Before patch
Defensive slot: Vital infusion (+5 agony resistance, + 5 vitality)

After patch
Defensive slot: Vital infusion (5 vitality)
Agony slot: lvl5 agony infusion (
5 agony resistance)

Now: compare the convenience of a Vital infusion (1 Philosopher’s Stone, 20 Mystic Coin, 250 Karka Shell, 100 Ancient Bone) with that of the basic version of the Vital infusion (5 laurels). Before patch you HAD to buy the “mystic forge” one to get both the stats bonus and the agony resistance (since the “basic” version pre-patch didn’t have agony resistance). That’s why someone spent a lot of money to buy the infusion. Now the huge difference in price between those two infusions if justified by a mere +1 vitality bonus (since the agony resistance has been parted from the stat bonus). No one with a sane mind would choose the “mystic forg”e one over the “laurel vendor” one.

Ok, but a, let’s say, vital infusion, cost a ton of gold. And it only grants +5 agony resistance, so there’s no point in it anymore, making that ton of gold completely useless, since you can get a +6 infusion (i.e. a better one) with a little efford with the new system.

On my infused rings and backpack I have:
1 vital infusion;
1 resilient infusion;
1 mighty infusion.

That makes:
52 philosopher’s stones;
60 mystic coins;
250 passion fruits;
500 karka shells;
100 vials of powerful blod;
100 Ancient bones;
100 Armored scales.

What is going to happen to those infusions? Even if I can keep them the way they are, they are going to be absolutly sub-par with the new system (also considering their prices). Any idea for a refound of a sort?

Protection of the Horde: Rename to “Protection of Shadows”. Move to adept tier.
New funtionality: “Grants 1 second of protection while entering Death Shroud”.

Reanimator: Move to grandmaster. Reduce internal cooldown to 10 second. Get rid of degeneration on jagged horrors. Reduce maximum ammount of jagged horrors to 5.

Deadly Strenght: Move to master (as it is, 5% bonus).

To reclaim the abandoned name for free it would have to be a new character. Otherwise if you wanted to use the abandoned name on a different existing character you would need another name change contract.

Sure, my concern is about the “24 hours name reservation”. I’ve heard that it doesn’t allow you to take an abbandoned name within the 24 hours using another Name Change Contract (while it obviously allow you to take it on a new character). Is it true?

It has been already been asked in the “Asura” forum (LINK).
Please, add a “lighting” color slot for the Savant Armor (asura T3 light racial armor). We want to be able to dye our coat on a different color of the lighting on our armor, just like Kudu!

We know it’s possible (as seen in the image above) and it shouldn’t be too hard to implement.
Please give the asura (almost 90% of asura light-armor users wear this) a little more room for customization!

Because the basic-damage of those weapons are higher + weapon-traits synergyize better with affecting 5 skillz instead of 3 or 2, which is mostly the case for one-handed weapons.

Even assuming that you are right (and I think you are not), it would be better to ballance those weapons on the damage-side, allowing the players more versatility on their builds.

If you use two one-handed weapons you can have two sigils; if you use a two-handed weapon you can use just one.
Why penalize those who want to use two handed weapons?

Any other wishes, after all they ARE free? How about Marks triggering on walls and siege weapons? Or downed foe? What about underwater marks…err wait what? I know marks on PvE boss target that is not mobile!

I only got you are ironic because you spoke of “underwater marks”, because all the other things you mentioned seems completly reasonable to me.
It’s not like staff does huge damage aside from mark 2 and 3 conditions, and downed players/walls/siege weapons are immune to conditions anyway (as de-facto are world bosses due to the bleeding cap and poison stacking in duration).

Anyway I didn’t ask for any of those things.

…or at least increase marks’ default range to 240.
It now takes these two traits to even consider using the staff as one’s main weapon, and this penalize A LOT anyone aiming to play a Minion Master (as many minion’s traits are in the Death Magic traitline too).
Just posting this in the hope a Dev reads it.

Just to keep it short:
Problem – Many unwielded weapons glitch with armors and backpieces, expecialy with some races (charr and asura).
Solution – Give us the option to hide unwielded weapons just like we can with headgear.

Hi, I just want to report that after the patch (February 26th) I’ve been experiencing a problem with equipment substitution.
In particular, when I change a weapon or a piece of armor in the Hero menu, the piece of equipment that I put in the inventory is placed in the first free slot of the inventory (before the patch it was placed in the same slot of the new gear I equipped). This is causing me some problems because now there’s a higher risk to sell or salvage my second armor set because of distraction…

In the first few weeks of play John Smith has posted a couple of beautiful articles on the blog and on the official website about the state of the economy of GW2.
I found these articles very interesting, in particular for the amount of datas that they showed.
I would ask, if possible, an update of these datas. In particular, I would be very interested in the distribution of wealth among the players in the current state (especially the Lorenz curve).

Warriors/Guardians draw more aggro by default.

Are you sure about this?
Weren’t all the classes supposed to be able to fullfil every role in GW2 (and therefore: wouldn’t such meccanic be against this principle?)?

Hello!
Some friends of mine recently brought to my attention the question of the aggro system in GW2.
In particular, they argued that a certain class (Guardians) tends to get aggroed more than the others. I’ve no experience at all with the guardian, so I can’t tell if it’s true or just an impression.
What do you think?

Hi! I’m an asura necromancer and I absolutely love the Fractal Staff!
I’ve found a problem with the necro-scythe animation though.
The scythe shadow-blade is at the height of the hand, end not at the top of the staff.

The problem with having to grind fractals over and over to get the infused ring you want is still there, I’m afraid.
Why don’t you make infused version of the rings aviable, maybe for a larger quantity of Pristine Fractal Relics? :-)
An alternative solution would have been adding a rare token instead of RNG infused ring, to be exchanged with a selected ring (not a random one).
What do you think?

I don’t understand why people complain so much about those that purchased the commander title just to show off their wealth.
Also legendary weapons and T3 armors have the unique purpose to show off. Wouldn’t it be absurd if someone come out asking a player not to use a legendary weapon because “it’s just to show off”?
I think your problem is just a certain degree of jelousy. You are probably bothered by a title you aren’t able to get. I can’t give myself any other explaination why otherwise a small icon on the world-map would hurt you that much.
The only reason to get upset with a commander is when they lead in a very bad way in WvW, or when they assume an arrogant attitude, not when they are in PvE without hurting anyone…
