There 2 main issues I would like to bring attention to.

1) There exist skills that are strongly underwhelming, someone examples are:

Deals very little damage with weak CC, and a very small radius, thus overall you are better off not using it.

Sword Brust – Flurry
It deals less damage and takes up more time casting it then using 2 Sword Autos

Scepter 3 – Chains of Light
barely any damage with weak cc, on a very high Cooldown

those are some examples of pathetic skills that should be changed/buffed

2) Banners, Don’t you feel that they should be better Environmental weapons? I think you guys did a great job on the banners of WvW(Turtle, Centaur, Dragon) I think making them better environmental weapons will add a much needed complexity to the warrior class.

Another question, do you guys think that warrior needs more complexity? atleast to the standard of the other classes?

Just to an idea to add complexity, add/change rampage to a base transformation(like druid has celestial) and each specialization (like Berserker Traitline’s beserk(F2 skill) ) will alter the base “rampage” or transformation skill. Well, this leads to warrior becoming more like Marital Arts Class.

Explain further, The base Transformation is simply the warrior dropping his weapons and fighting barehanded, and each specialization will change the style or skills in the Barehanded Transformation.

Another idea would be a 3rd weapon-set for warriors? What do you think?

1) sword primal burst skill does not trigger while long bow primal burst does

Story: I quit the game around Dragon Bash(3 years ago) due to me starting college. I was pretty addicted during those times and I didn’t want to slip up during my college years in the same way I slip up in my 12 grade year. So I invested my gold in dragon coffers(125K) as a way to preserve my wealth against inflation. Today, I thought about the game and decided to look at gw2spidy and saw dragon coffers aren’t increasing in value for a while. So I plan start to selling all my Dragon Coffers. The problem is that the volume that I have is bigger then the volume in the market(Supply and demand). So right now I need a plan inorder not to crash the market of dragon coffers. Anyone could help me?

I have 771g form back then, and 125k Dragon coffers. Any advice in how to proceed is appreciated.

More necros complaining that they can’t beat something that was built to counter them?

It’s not about necros, it’s about condition builds. I prefer to use condition build on my every alt.(warrior, thief etc.) since I hate direct damage skills. I’ve given necro example bcos necros are mostly condition oriented and don’t have enough direct damage or mobility to avoid condi-invulnerability. I can kite a warrior with a thief/mesmer till the buff disappears, but you can’t do this with a condi necro.(necro doesn’t have leap or 1200 range movement skills) I don’t want any build to be op, I just want the balance. ppl opened so much threads in necro forum about op conditions, it’s ok necro is nerfed. But it’s time for warrior invulnerability now. Maybe they can make fear cc to pass through this buff to avoid an undead warrior.

Kite a warrior for 8 seconds, yes they can. A low skilled Necro can not, while a high-skilled one can, speaking form experience. If facing a Mace+GS build(or most direct builds) then it will be much harder to live compared to condi warrior.

Well, I have only seen them in GS+S/W build in wvw for high mobility.

This is incorrect. You should note that It is not only you, but everyone. Everyone is making 50% more per so prices will increasing 50%(if only only supply and demand stays the same which for most items, it will. ). Mostly due to inflation of the pure gold going into the economy.

Well it was a faucet from a player’s point of view even though by it’s use, the TP, gold was still being sunk out of the active economy.

However, do you understand that overall, the rate of incoming gold into the economy is far greater then what it used to be.

The rate of gold incoming has increase while the gold leaving the economy has, overall, stay the same. Which, it will result in inflation.

I think there is about the same amount of gold being distributed but now it is being distributed evenly instead of just to the hard core CoF farmers. All the new ascended recipes that will be coming out soon should balance evreything out as I am sure it will be expensive to make.

1) The amount of gold being distributed now is far greater then the amount being to hardcore CoF. A larger base of players is able to farm the current events then CoF, thus resulting more gold put into the economy. Also, the amount being made in the current events is greater then the amount being made in CoF.

Note: CoF path 1 has not been nerfed. All they did is simply added 1g per day when it is done and removed the coin bags i think(which give 1-5s).

2)I don’t think the ascended gold sink is going to match the incoming gold of the current events taking place. The reason for this is because most players can get 1 or 2 sets of ascended gear however, farming can be done unlimited times.

“Playing the TP” is not a gold faucet.

As for gold sinks, it is possible they have increased due to the higher volume of materials selling across the TP.

They have not increased. The amount of gold is being taken is the same because the prices went down (decreasing the quantity of the gold being taken out). However, the quantity of materials, being traded, has increased.Leading it to stay the same, I suspect.

Prior to this the two big faucets for gold were CoF path 1 and playing the TP. We’ve seen substantial gains in landscape coin gain from the support reminders during the last leg of the Living Story. Now we have massive repeat runs of CoF 1 shot dead in the street and a huge legendary-killing train running in the Crown Pavilion – an activity you can actually perform well in playing solo.

Its like after a year, they finally wanted to say ’I’m sorry" to all the casual solo players they’ve been kicking in the junk since launch. With a side order of shutting down a grotesquely abusable farm and putting a megaton more crafting materials into circulation so that you can actually gather some of them on your own instead of having to bow before the TP.

Its not just new coin coming into the system – its WHERE in the playstyles spectrum it’s being introduced.

I sense an emotional or desire messing up your logic.Also, you not seeing the big picture.

This is a prefect example of when a government simply prints moneys into circulation of the economy. it causes inflation and prices will adjust accordingly. It might be a great temporary fix however, in the long run it will cause inflation and we will be the same place, we were before.

Due the latest patch, the gold going in the economy has increase(the gold drops form champs, and the greens/blues sold to vendor) while the gold sinks has not( or decrease because of reduce wp, one could say)

I believe the Anet would have known this would happen, so the question is simple. Why would they commit such action?

Side note:
Current champ farming/The Crown Pavilion, I make 6-7g per hour, 4-5g comes selling blues and greens with monster drops

bragging friend makes 8-11g per hour(mf gear, food,ascended stuff, but I think he makes more if you count the value of skill points)

My opinion? Healing Signet MAY need to be toned down, but very slightly. It is only slightly overpowered. Bring down the HP regen to 350 and up the scaling to 7.5%. Engis have overpowered healing just based on utility heals. Necros might want to have some of the healing base values revisited and upped slightly, and Guardians might want to see their healing values upped slightly as well. Rest of the classes are fine.

well, the problem I have with healing signet, is not work will that runes and traits that needs “Healing skill activation” since the healing is passive. So, it limits your build.

Today, I laugh so hard that now my tummy hurts. Why? because of this topic, Mace/shield GS build = Overpowered. I knew the OP wasn’t a warrior or haven’t played it much, which it is true. OP is guardian which made me sad. I too, play a guardian and only lose to warrior if I am caught by surprise or all my skills are in coldown.(attachment for proof , for my experience on guardian)

Well, I understand that warrior can now kill a button-smashing-newbie and pose a fun challenge for decent-skilled players. Still, warrior are the weakest out of classes because their simplicity. 10% or 20% more damage won’t matter if you can’t hit the target or keep alive.

Enough of my rant, here are the weakness to warrior or the current meta.

1) {url=http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Weakness]Weakness[/url]: this condition destroys any direct damage build. Currently, it is OP since it reject critical attacks and cuts normal damage in half.

Here is some math:

Lets say a warrior has 100% critical chance with 50% critical damage and does 2000 damage

With Weakness, there is 50% chance that Critical is rejected and does normal damage cut in half. So, that means instead of doing 2000 damage, the warrior does 500 damage, a 75% damage reduction!!!

theoretically speaking, 50% chance of happening * 75% damage reduction leaves a total of 37.5% damage reduction, theoretically of course. In reality, it can range form 0-75% damage reduction.

2) Protection, no need to explain this one…………I hope.

3) Stability, Note: Thief/mesmer can actually steal it or any other boon.

4)Stun breaker Why aren’t you carrying one around?

5)chilled limiting movement, current warrior meta is melee

6)crippled limiting movement, current warrior meta is melee

7) Immobilized limiting movement, current warrior is melee

8)Blind If he can’t hit, then it stun affect you

9)Fear Rangers, Necros, warriors can Fear, so don’t whine

10)Posion this condition destroy healing signet, since it cuts healing by 33%(392 to 261) also it deal condition damage, (261 to 177 or less)

11) Dodging, try it, it works wonder

12) Stealth meele. short range, unlikely to hit or see you.

13) Illusion?No, stuns if it can’t hit the real you.

14) kiting, running away, or any other tactic that involves outmaneuvering the target

15) Control skills, turn the tables around.

Also, I am pretty sure there is more ways.

Raging and buttons smashing does not work

1) I finish map completion in Straits of Devastation and got nothing, no map completion chest.

2) The command of the spirit sword for guardians does not work.(it does nothing and enters a cool-down, when attacking a player in spvp).

3) The damage on the tool-tip of spirit weapons does not change when i change/remove/add equipment

4)Not sure if this is bug/error or is intended. However, Peacemaker Skrimm in Lion Arch sells powerful potion of undead slaying, same as Officer Hetja.Shouldn’t it be Powerful potion of inquest slaying?

I noticed there is a dislike for banners, has anyone notice this?

It gets in the way of picking up loot or reviving players. Today in WvW, I notice a guildie took my banner and placing it on the other side of the supply camp (where no one could be affected by it). I asked if him hated banners, which he said yes. It got in the way of him picking loot.

I understand how dangerous it can be in the heat of battle because picking up a banner replaces your 1-5 skills, which disrupts your flow/focus(which might end up killing you).

I would suggest to make banners attachable to the back of warrior, so it won’t be a bother to anyone else.

For now it, it is a great way of trolling and killing your allies.

Interesting….It seems to be a bug. My friend who is thief has been hitting 80-110k damage with back-stab on a up-scaled Mesmer Asuran. As far i know it has only been on that Asuran guy he fond on WvW. Poor guy, he was hunted down by my friend a few times.

Well I never wanted to believe that all this whining was true. However, I learned was wrong. My guildies was right when they told me that warrior are the worst sPvP class.

Here is my personal experience with the warrior.

The past few weeks, I been PvPing and theory-crafting with my warrior. I kept losing 1 vs 1 duels with my guildies(unless they are warriors), and was a shamed during tPvP, that I could not hold my weight. I noticed by myself(1 vs 1) there was 92% chance i will lose(loses to win, Ratio) unless I was with my teammates. Against skilled players(pros), it was better for me to leave otherwise i would hold my team down because they were kind to rez me(it got them killed). The day we lost 3(or 4) matches in a row was the day I stop playing warrior and started playing ranger. The next time we TPvP we won 4 matches in a row, and since that day we won more then we lost(nearly all). This is depressing for me and a eye opener that you guys might be right when you say warrior are terrible at PvP.

For those who are good with warriors, think about this.

The matches/duels that you won,
Was it because there was an other person with you?
was it because they(enemy) screw up?
because you were attacking form the sidelines and/or no one focus on you?

The reasons above are the reasons on why I won matches on my warrior which happen too few.

if you have any tips/build that won’t require the above happening then please tell me because I am warrior lover and would like to keep playing it without hurting my teammates.

btw I play at night when most skilled players play.(to my experience at-least.)

There’s no trick to placing that many buy orders….it’s called latency.

If you were to put a quantity of 250 (max possible) in at a price of 13c each and click the “Place Order” button once, you’ll put an order in for 250. On the other hand, if you can rapidly click (or double-click) that button, you can put in multiple buy orders at the same quantity for the same price and probably place buy orders for a couple of thousand items. If you program a button to just keep clicking while you hold it down….there’s a possibility of getting 10’s of THOUSANDS of that same item for the same price before the latency catches up with you.

If that’s your goal….use a laptop over a wifi connection to INCREASE your latency.

It’s all a matter of how quickly you can click that button….

P.S. Be careful using this technique. I doubt seriously it’s intended. Also, you could end up buying a LOT more of something than you want. I stumbled across it by accident when I happened to double-click the “Buy” button instead of simply clicking it.

P.P.S. As far as I’m aware, this only works when buying something. It won’t work if you’re trying to sell stuff.

I came back to GW2 after quitting in November. I been wondering, where is the tp history? and is there anyway is that tp history is coming back?

Q: Will there be more traits in the future?

Also, I believe that allowing players to get 30 in all traits will help with the balancing issue of the classes.

And once again, that is only possible when there is already a significant gap between buy prices and sell prices. A properly balanced price, for something that sells in high volume, will never have that kind of margin.

True, but there is items with wide gaps that sells.

The food items that sell for dirt cheap are the ones that are easy to make and not that great.

Just like the weapons that sell for the minimum price, and the armor that sells for the minimum price, and everything else in the game that sells for really cheap. No one is manipulating anything to cause this situation, unless you count the people flooding the market with low-quality goods.

Arasuki, they are not stupid but smart.I been at the trading post most of my time and this happens. Here is the trick.

1)Buy a few and drop it down.
ex: buy 2-3 at 70s and sell it for 30s

2) wait for some “lesser informed” people to match your price at 30s.

3)Buy all at 30s and sell it at 70s, Profit!

It doesn’t always work, so it is gamble.

I am also missing money. I been wondering what to do since I know that the Devs are already overloaded with support tickets.
