seriously vayne, for someone who’s very vocal about enjoying the game, you seem to spend more time posting in the forums than actually playing the game.

ontopic: there are just alot of players who handle the game differently. ofcourse the main groups are the ones who enjoy it and the ones who don’t. for the people who enjoy it, most of them are actually playing and ignoring the other stuff that happens. some of them are here too, a small part, trying to defend anet from anything and everything, even constructive criticism.

the other half is slightly more fragmented. there are those who are unhappy but continue playing because of friends or theyre nearing a certain goal or because theyve already invested too much into the game. there are those who are unhappy and try to post their thoughts on the forums. the so-called ‘complainers’. lastly, there are those who just quit without saying anything. those ‘quitters’ seem to be the kind of people that the anet supporters want the ‘complainers’ to transform into. ive seen it multiple times. you don’t agree with the changes even tho youve already invested into the game? then quit. it’s sad. it seems that’s the mindset that anet fully supports.

there may have been problems with the previous leveling/personal story system but this patch? it didn’t solve anything, it just made it worse especially to the vets. it’s like being constipated and being given a medicine that induced stomach ulcer or something.

Boost tapers off at level 10, because you can do 5 story instances in a row if you want at level 10. And it’s still faster till level 15 than it was before the patch.

someone wants to complain?
well..here comes vayne!

on-topic: i agree that it should be toggleable. this is the sort of problem that should be fixed first. doing a major change based solely on a small part of the game. now, it’s reworking a major part of the leveling experience based on the supposed betterment of the new player experience.

it’s like the problem with skills/traits/builds. seems like everything is being balanced based solely on pvp even tho alot of the people who are affected by the change only play pve.

People and their complaints

this thread. the few people here. theyre the reason that even after 2 years, some problems remain unsolved. it's because of these people, these white knights who keep patting them on the back trying to reassure them that nothing is wrong. especially a certain person here. whenever there's a so-called 'complaint' thread, even if the points the author posted were valid, he still keeps trying to convince everyone that nothing is wrong. when you try to confront them and call them out? your post magically get deleted.

nice. grats dude! now, wouldn’t it be nice if the next thing to be restored is the faith in Anet when they finally release precursor crafting? that’s like gifting the whole population a way to create their own legendaries, not just see these rare miracles happen on one or two people? that would be nice eh devs?

white knights are strong in this thread. i agree with OP tho. since precursors can drop from a number of sources, it’s like they justified the uber low droprate. i still feel sad whenever i see the price of dusk/dawn @ TP. nothing will ever change as long as there are people who reassure them that nothing is wrong.

how will the devs understand that something is wrong when some people here keep reassuring them that nothing is? seriously, what most of these ‘complainers’ and ‘whiners’ are saying will probably benefit everyone. but i wonder why some people keep trying to say theyre wrong and that everything is alright? i never understood that.

on some days i’ll posts such as this where people are asking for new content or new dungeons or new classes or new skills. sure ok that’s nice. it will benefit everyone. then some white knights suddenly arrive saying ‘oh another QQ thread bla bla bla everything is good im having fun bla bla bla’ like seriously? what he’s suggesting will benefit everyone. why so hostile?

is everyone convined that these miniscule bits of content per month is better than a whole expansion? why are some people contented with having cupcakes when they can have a full cake? and why be against those people who wants cakes instead of cupcakes? and people are confused why some conspiracy theories suddenly spurt out? lol.

Guild Wars 2 , The game with no guild wars

guildwars? just make a local(homeworld) version of wvw borderlands or EB where guilds can battle it out for the possession of a castle/keep once or twice a week(1-2 hour duration). the guilds that control the castles or keeps will have access to some perks like special buffs/node map/title or emblem/badge in their name until the next siege day. it would help people actually take pride in being a member of a strong guild because currently in wvw, getting a castle doesnt feel special because it’s just like the events in pve, there’s no limit and benefit to you taking control of it.

[Suggestion] The Right Time for Mounts

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Ashkael.2859

Ashkael.2859

are mounts needed? no
but they’re a nice addition to how people want to customize themselves.

honestly, waypoints are more nonsensical than mounts. it’s weird that in the lore, the different races have used dolyaks for carrying things but never thought of riding them.

i can’t understand why people are so against them. with them being developed, resources aren’t pouring into more important things?

what utter BS. not developing mounts or capes for years now did didn’t help them develop precursor crafting right? or are people against mounts because they think that if theyre implemented and they have speed boost with them, everyone would be obligated to get them to even things out? and what’s with this ‘if i dont want or cant have them, noone should to’ mentality?

as people have mentioned, mounts could just be vanity items. they don’t need to have speed boost with them. and lol to these people who keep a stiff stance about not wanting them. when you try to reason with them and offer some valid points, they tell you to go to another game lol. they can’t accept what others are saying but also don’t have anything significant to counter other people’s reasoning so they try to bail on the conversation.

i lol everytime i read that scapegoat line. ‘well good sir my nonsensical reasons are depleted. please if you would, just go to another game before i start to doubt my beliefs and my sanity.’ sad

seriously dude, dont even bother posting this kind of thread.
there are far too many hurdles that one should overcome for their complaint to be acknowledged.
• first, the low low chance of a dev/staff from anet to ever read your post.
• second, if your post is worded right and if the argument is something valid.
• third, the amount of people with the ‘im okay with the state of things so everyone else should be okay with it too. your post is irrelevant’ kind of mindset who will flood your thread with arrogant and condescending posts.

basically, the second is greatly determined on how many posts of the people from the third are read by the first. those people who claim to be of a neutral stance but weirdly, they wildly abhor any and all ‘complaint’ posts especially if theyre first, against anet and second, if theyre not experiencing it themselves. its that ‘since there’s no war in my country, then the wars in other countries must also be false’ way of thinking

Does the game still relly to much on zerkers?

Ashkael.2859

lol what’s the problem with the people here? why are they sooo concerned about what other people are wearing? it’s almost as idiotic as ‘i hate how sooo many girls are wearing pants than skirts. theyre girls. they should wear skirts.’ seriously, for what reason are you guys hating on zerkers?
- people with zerker gear are noob and die too much in dungeons!
• well lol blame that on them being a bad player, not on being a zerker.
- well they die too much in world boss too!
• well what did you guys expect? in this game, everyone basically is superman. every class has some kind of healing spell but there’s no class that’s 100% healer. all classes have some sort of damage/debuff/status effect mitigation but no class is fully specced for actual full tanking and full aggression soaking. and ofcourse, ever class has the potential to damage high with zerker gear so if it works, if it’s fast, if it’s doable then why spec for anything else?
- i still want others to be like me and have the illusion of being different that still works! hate zerker!
• well people can own 2 or more sets so calm your kittens.

how bout this? to start the season 2 of living world events and (hopefully) permanent new features that matter.
an airship such as the one you have to have a ticket to enter, after a sudden burst of energy from an ‘unknown’ source undergound, crash lands down the new map which supposedly is the maguuma jungle where diverse new tribes of monsters that arent just recycled reworks of already existing tribes are thriving.

the airship’s passengers are various merchants and artisans of different disciplines and at the time of the crash, the airship is also transporting an artifact of great power.

new permanent quests:
• missions to rescue different artisans that have been captured and imprisoned by different tribes that people have to complete in order for them to join the player and be permanent npcs in their home instance. missions can be either instanced or group event.
•mission to recover the artifact. after finishing the rescue mission, an elaborate hunt will be started in the effort to track down the artifact which so happens to be a friggin precursor. can only be done once per account and it will have various requirements like personal story completion, map completion, dungeon completion. another requirement would be the pact weapons as catalyst to absorb the artifact. a new, account bound pact weapon would be created and the type that is chosen will be the form the precursor will take. other requirements will be included at the time the feature is released. ( pleaseeee me wants twilightttt and me dont wants to grind for gold lol.)

What happened ? I just don’t find any real reason to play

imo, the main problem of this game is the lack of specified drops. in every mmo, the ‘end game content’ is usually a couple of hard dungeons. tho some people would argue the ‘hard’ part, there’s still a couple of dungeons in the game that’s also arguably ‘end game’. problem is, the actual purpose of these dungeons for players is the daily bounty of 1g+. aside from the specific dungeon armor/weapons that are obtainable using tokens from each dungeon, there’s nothing else worth doing them for. nothing that you can work towards since the exotic weapons and the precursors are random drops. imo a specific but low drop rate is better than the current system. since it’s a global drop, they think the freakishly low droprate is justified. personally, id be more motivated if in the dungeon im doing or if the boss im grinding is sure to drop the item im working towards. the droprate can be low sure but thinking that eventually it will drop will surely motivate anyone. if they are worrying about people just mindlessly grinding a single dungeon, then lol make more items that will interest people to grind other dungeons. a precursor in arah, an exclusive ascended cape in ascalon, flame dragon wings in fire citadel etc. imo there are more stuff that people dont care about than items that people are seriously willing to grind atm.

another thing, when are they gonna add actual new items? not just items that increase the stat bonus by a miniscule amount. items that have stats that actually change the way people play. like maybe a hammer that gives a heal/radius bonus to warrior shouts to further justify a heal warrior build? or an armor that reflects conditions? or a weapon that transforms the condition you deal into a single damage hit that increases until the condition ticker is removed or you detonate it using a certain skill. something that actually makes people want to create different builds that synergize with items.
