We don’t want you to replace parts, we want you to take it back and get something actually worth the amount that you paid for it.
Well that’s not gonna happen either…what part of that don’t you get?

Some people were far too rude, but that does not mean you should discount the opinions of those who have been polite.
And to answer the question – no, not really. Your GPU will struggle on most settings.
That’s funny, its running perfectly fine now.

BCDragon.5614 please understand. Your system will not run GW2 smoothly. At lowest settings, it looks terrible. In your case 30-35fps is not good at all, at lowest settings. That there is poor in any terms.
What you get now for the price you paid, will get you 60fps at 1920×1080 with Best Apperance settings. Not sure where you bought this system, but it is not built by you, nor a custom built.
Why is it hard to understand what help is or understand that the system you got is wrong to teach you the correct way to get a system for what you paid.
Dont feel ashamed that the system you bought is overpriced. The sale person that sold it to you, was his fault that took your money. They knew this from the start. There is ways to fix this and not cost more money, and increase the quality of what GW2 and others will look and feel.
Be nice to know what brand the PC is and where you got from. That will help a lot.
Where I got it from is no one’s business and what part of I am not looking to replace parts did you not understand?

And quite frankly, all they needed to do was say yes or no, not continue on and on and on about how bad someones computer sucks.

What’s obvious is you don’t give a kitten about wasting your hard earned money or listening to the advice YOU asked for.
You also aren’t the first person to stick your fingers in your ears to avoid the truth that you’d rather not hear so.. have fun with that insanely overpriced box you bought.
LOL I didn’t ask for advice on how to replace parts on this machine nor did I ask for anyone to tell me how to spend MY money. All I asked was whether or not this machine would run the game smoothly and instead all I have gotten is rude comments so next time know the facts before walking into the conversation.

I doubt that he spent $2200 on that computer anyways. Take a look at one of his older posts https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/Is-this-a-good-processor-for-GW2, seems to me like he only buys low end parts :P.
that was a laptop…this is a desktop…and yes I did spend $2200 on it and I really don’t give a **** if noone believes me. As for me being a troll….not likely…as for me lying, again no but I don’t give a kitten
EDIT: Mods please lock this thread now as it giving me nothing but problems. Thank you.

Claim it all you want, but that card is not netting you 40+ FPS. There’s no way.
Hate to say it, but it is…but I don’t care whether or not if anyone believes me. This machine plays the game fine and that’s all that matters.
I too have also recently joined the ranks of CC and I must say, its one of the better guilds that I have come across. Everyone is very friendly and very helpful. I would strongly recommend that if anyone is looking for a guild, that they definitely take a look at joining The Conclave.

I am not trolling. I come to ask whether or not my computer will run it and every man and theirkittendog shoots it down. Then when I prove them wrong I get people like you calling me a troll. Yeah, this will be the last time I post on these forums.

Ummm guess again I am running the 1600 resolution and playing in best performace and getting that…so yeah stop making yourself look like a fool. And yes people DID post that this computer wouldn’t be able to run it.

Because guess what…I am in the game as I post this and I have 30-35 fps…so much for this computer not being able to run GW2 huh. HA
EDIT: Actually anywhere from 35-45 fps. So yeah, you guys might wanna do a little more research before making fools of yourselves.

AMD Radeon HD 7350
Well due to unforseen circumstances I am in need of a guild once more. I am not into PVP so if that’s what your guild is into please do not post. I am looking for a guild that is laid back and casual. Many thanks from a disgruntled player.
well much to my dismay I am not getting that laptop
I’m willing to bet in events you’ll get the same FPS or less. I have an I7 with a 570M and when tons of people are around spamming a boss I drop to 20-30 FPS. So do the math.
The problem is you seem to be overly excited to get a couple extra FPS when in the end you’ll be sorry. It’s almost October and black friday is near. You’ll be able to get double the laptop for the same price on a sale if you just chill and wait.
Actually I would rather have those numbers then what I do now….events I get so lagged down that I can’t do anything and outside of them, I get low 20’s and sometimes even lower that that when leveling.
At least you get 20-30 in events….I get if I am lucky I get 12…and we don’t get black fridays here nice suggestion though.

So according to the game list on there I shouldn’t have a problem with the graphics card
EDIT: And I just checked the video card I have now and its not even on that list….its archived which makes me think even more that the Samsung is the better of the two.

The AMD A6-3410MX is a mobile chip meaning for a laptop. It will meet the minimum requirements, but I would not expect it to play very well(30-40ish fps with low to medium settings and that is a standing still environment with no combat). The point is if your going to buy something new then I suggest always going 15-30% above whatever your average gaming settings would be. In your case going a little above my recommended upgrade path is kind of needed. The A6 starts at 1.7ghz and oc to 2.4ghz. The game for recommended settings requires a dual core with 2.6ghz or higher. The point being is gw2 will not use more than 2 cores. It is already considered under the recommended setting ghz even though it is a quad-core processor. Your everyday needs such as being a multitasker for instance would increase, but nothing incredible gaming wise.
Your current dual core processor meets the bare minimum, but you wouldn’t notice a difference gaming wise by upgrading. If the A6 laptop came with a decent dedicated graphics card then you might see a few higher fps from what I stated, but not by much. The cpu would bottleneck the dedicated graphics card depending on what it is exactly. There is software that lets you oc the A-series cpu’s above their current cpu speed, but I wouldn’t recommend oc a cpu like that in a laptop. I have seen plenty do it though. It is your money in the end. I don’t think you would be happy with it though.
I don’t see this laptop lasting very long considering its specs and lack of dedicated graphics. If you have to have a laptop and are not willing to get a desktop. My suggestion is save up for something better. I am more than happy to assist you on the matter if need be?
The one I have now doesn’t have dedicated graphics either…so I really don’t see what the issue is.
That A6-3410MX may be new but it’s a low power, low performance piece made for netbooks and low end laptops. It’s designed for max battery life not max gaming performance.
The laptop with the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor P7350 probably has a crappy video chip which you neglected to tell us which you have. Now with the A6-3410MX you’ll be trading problems. Crappy CPU (Which GW2 relies on) for a better graphics processor. It may run other games better than the Intel system but it’s not likely to push Guild Wars 2 very well.
Anyway, good luck.
Low end? How is that low end? I think its better than what I have which is Intel Core 2 Duo Processor P7350 and I can play on the low settings with this? Not trying to sound like I know everything because I don’t. Just need some more light shed on this before I make a final decision.
I stated what the Intel had…it has a Nvidia in it. :/
I am not arrogant but I sure as hell am not going to put up with someone coming off as being rude either which is exactly what your last post did.
Well thanks guys, but I think I am going to get this…..the intel one I have now sucks so I think this is better.
Why even come here & ask then? Seems you’ve already made your mind up & you’ve already been warned about Amd so good luck with that.
Its called asking for opinions and then making a decision? Holy christ, get off your high horse.
Well thanks guys, but I think I am going to get this…..the intel one I have now sucks so I think this is better.
Wow…way to dissuade someone….anyway, I have one Nvidia one….
Nothing wrong with choosing Amd.
What resolution are you going to be running at?
If you’re around 1440 × 900 or under you’ll do ok. Above that and you’ll be stretching it.
Most likely 1440X900

I am upgrading from one lap top to another….geez
I am playing GW2 on a laptop now….sigh

Wow people amaze me….so what if its got a few bugs? So what if it doesn’t do a hellva lot of damage? Who cares if the minions are fugly? Isn’t the purpose of the game to have fun and not worry about crap like this? I thought it was….
As the title says, I have one character slot left, and I would like to play an engineer. I have heard different stories about them being quirky when it comes to damage. So my question is, what is the easiest build to do damage with yet still have fun with it?
I don’t do life stealing lol…I do a MM build but thanks for assuming I did and if you look at all his posts, they are all complaints about the necro in some form. I just simply stated the truth. It doesn’t sound like he likes the necro.
Even in the books the necro re-animates the dead, or pulls together skeleton bones from many dead to create minions, I am not sure what the game is doing but the minions are just odd. Give us skeletons/ undead/ zombies already.
This isn’t D3
then don’t play the necro…sounds like you don’t like it…..pretty simple huh.
Then you’re playing it wrong lol….
How to play necro in GW2: Press create, chose race, when selecting profession, dont press the skull, but the pink mask, its actually the real necromancer in terms of gameplay with tons of minions that dont moonwalk on a small rock for the next 50 seconds after they use charge, auto attack and your class has a lot of epic conditions that punish the enemy for doing stuff (spiteful spirit that stacks up to 25 times!), just be sure to buy a black and light green dye for your gear!
Mesmer is nothing like the necro…don’t know where the hell that came from.
roll a ranger, go to mists, stack crit/crit on bleed, equip short bow, get behind/side target, spam 1.
I never realized how horrible necro condition builds were until i played ranger. Unless you are pairing with epidemic condition builds are so far below other classes it’s not even funny… and that’s considered one of the “better” necro pvp specs.
Not everyone wants to play ranger………
A minion-based build lacks a lot in the AoE department. Yes, Bone Minions explode. Yes, you get staff AoEs. Yes, you get Scepter or Daggers, AoE.
But what about Epidemic? Wells? Plague? Lich Form?
MM builds are for 1v1 fights. Although it could also cause your doom if your opponent keeps on using your low-HP minions to Rally over and over again.
You’ll end up with all minions in CD and open to be slaughtered.
Not necessarily…..if you can pull off the marks from staff before your minions croak, you’ll do fine. I haven’t had a problem yet.
Thanks…I have a guild now.
Thanks everyone for the replies….I am going through of the sites that were posted and when I have come to a decision, I’ll post here.
I have never been a fan of pvp, not even in WoW. It’s just not my thing unfortunately.
To each their own for sure. I know many players that are not interested in PvP.
However given the titles of games you listed in the OP, I would say you’d do yourself a great service to join a guild that participates in WvW.
It is drastically different then any PvP you have experienced in those other titles. And WvW with a guild is 100% more satisfying and fun.
Hmm may look into it then.
You friend left for another guild and no longer wants to play with you? Sorry to hear that.
Any reason in particular your not interested in playing PvP?

Hey there,
I bought GW2 to play with a friend but he doesn’t want to play with me now as his other friend has taken him into his guild. I have played GW1 as well as Diablo 3 and WoW so I do have mmo experience. I am NOT looking to play pvp, I just want to have fun with the game and take it at my own pace. The guild that I am looking for must not tolerate any bullying or racial comments, must have friendly, helpful players and in general just be willing to help when needed. If this sounds like your guild, please comment here or leave me a mail in game. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Onedoesnotsimply, are you another one that can not read? He(being Jon) addressed it in the bug thread.
From the first day these official forums opened the Necromancer section has been filled with complaints and suggestions on how to improve the class. There are several TL;DR threads explaining over and over again the small and big things that generally all necromancers feel is wrong with the class. Sadly , it seems every other class who is not complaining about anything needs to be worked on before they work with necro’s.
Anet Doesnt ‘owe’ me or anyone playing this game a word on what they intend to do. Or if they intend to do anything about necromancers.
But it sure would be nice if they at least gave us a hint.
THANK YOU…..ABOUT TIME…finally someone with an ounce of logic in their head.
Ramza don’t worry about the last poster…he/she has their panties in a bunch because he/she/it doesn’t have the patience to wait for them to fix it like most of the other qq’ers on here.
Why do you think I haven’t played any other class? Tried them all. But I already invested my time in necro – two sets of exotic, max crafting skills, 100% map, etc-etc.
I simply don’t want to do it all again in next several months.
And do you honestly think they are just going to bend over and give you your money back. Not likely.
