I do not mean skins purchased from dungeon tokens. There are legendaries you work towards. If legendaries are not your thing, there some other crafted exotics that take a fair bit of effort with skins that you might like.

Come back when you actually look at the legendary weapons. There are really only two I would even think about getting and I am not about to put forth the hours and hours of farming for them. This game shouldn’t just be a time sink, it should be fun as well as rewarding. A legendary just requires money, no skill required.

I am making twilight. Bought the precursor before the 28th Jan patch using the farming methods within. Also I am 96% into my lodestone requirements in term of lodestones and cores with all of them gotten via TA and FotM.

I AM using the methods i stated within. If you want to use dungeons as a vehicle to progress to your legendary, Im just showing you can for most parts. If you think legendaries are too much of a grind, thats a separate issue I’m afraid

You really missed the entire point.
I don’t think Legendary weapons are too much work, I just don’t think they require anything but time. I think a real Legendary should also include completing a difficult challenge. Which as of now is not the case. Keep working toward your pointless weapon that is so Legendary that you can now buy them on the Trading post.

I get the whole a lot of people don’t want that and its like this so WvW is balanced and all that but some people would much rather have something more to work toward from doing all the dungeons than just a dungeon master title or skins that they like.

As of now I do not log on as much as I used to because I have the Dungeon Master Title and I have full Arah set on two of my characters now. There is not really anything for me to do now that I log in other than WvW.

I completely agree with you and the the thought of making it worthwhile for us(people who love dungeons), my main point in my previous post was really that this game as of now does not seem to be for people like us. Realistically Anet can not satisfy both spectrums. It is completely up to Anet to decide to either make this game for less casual players and deal with a lot of raging, or keep it the way it is and deal with equal amounts of raging.

(I personally hope for more challenging/rewarding content)

Stats on gear is one of the hardest things to balance in a game like Gw2. Especially since I have realized that GW2 is really for the casual gamer(at least that’s what it looks like to me).

I agree besides the skin there really isn’t much offered for harder content. I think this is due to keeping WvW balanced. If Anet did make the harder dungeon gear with better stats, the amount of rage that would be sent from Gw2’s casual players would fill the dungeon forums.

What I think would work, is if Anet made the harder content offer higher amount of reward(aka p4 Arah gives a fair amount of more tokens than any AC path). This means that taking on a challenging path will be more worth it than farming easy paths.

Taking away the ability of spawning while your team is in the middle of the fight is hands down the best thing Anet has done for dungeons so far.

Ask yourself what the purpose of a dungeon is in this game or any game? Its not for getting gear or getting the dungeon master title, its about having a challenging/rewarding experience.

Now I want more boss fights that require your whole team to be active during the fight(aka Dwayna in Arah). If someone fully dies on my team, I want it to be near impossible to finish the boss. This requires people to learn how to play better instead of just running in and dying to the same mechanics.

I usually do not play with summoned weapon abilities and I agree there needs to be some sort of change to them. I agree with you that they need to take the charges away and maybe just make it a duration or something.

I think the only thing I really do not enjoy about these weapons is that it really defeats the way we play as an elementalist. By switching stances while having a summoned weapon, nothing changes. I think a way they could fix this is make all summoned weapons into one utility and based on your stance switch the weapon being used. That is my two cents on the subject.

I run S/D almost always in WvW at the moment. It really depends on what you are doing in WvW though. I usually roam gank with my guardian friend. I have used d/d and it is a good roaming build but I have fell in love with my s/d. I run 2 builds depending on what I am feeling for the night. Either 0/20/0/30/20 or 0/10/20/30/10. My first build I run power/precision/toughness and my second I run power/precision/cd.

Usually I will have 3 cantrips but I occasionally will go Arcane Blast for some extra burst.

Now i’m sure it was because of our inexperience, but still a boss encounter shouldn’t be as bad as this. If all bosses in the game don’t require perfect skills, why should this one?

Some bosses are just not meant for everyone to be able to beat. These bosses are for people who want the challenge. The bosses in this game at the moment are just for farming purposes(Gear Wars 2). I personally really loved this fight. We did it with two thieves, a mesmer, a guardian, and an elementalist(me). Only me and the guardian knew each other and we were both not berserker geared (he was power/healing/toughness and I was power/precision/toughness).

This fight is the only fight in this game at the moment that really requires your whole team to be doing their part. I personally think there should be more fights that require this kind of challenge.

My advice to you, get 5 of your guild mates and try it again, pugs are just too random. We got lucky with the 3 pugs we picked up but usually this isn’t the case. Its really not hard you just have to have good coordination(it wouldn’t hurt to have a few people go pretty dps heavy builds either).

Sometimes he will bug when he is aggroed onto someone and they stealth. Not sure if that was possible in your group but I have seen it happen.

Personally, I thought this fight was pretty well made. It was fun and unique. More bosses should be this challenging in my opinion because I am sick of the no thought bosses in this game atm.

Many people have complained about this fight and most the time they complain about their team being clueless/bad. Here is a quick fix. Stop running with pugs. Find people who are good and run with them. There are guilds in this game for other reasons than buffs and zerging WvW.

I also do not enjoy speed runs, but I also would not want to fight every mob(specifically in Arah). Speed runs are there due to how the dungeons are designed. If they really wanted you to fight every mob they would not have allowed you run past them. Don’t blame the players for this one.
