If you were to use Dungeon tokens from Explorable modes, can you buy 4 of the same weapon and put them into the Mystic forge and have a chance at getting its Precursor?

I know there as been many posts about this boss, but I encountered some bugs that aren’t the usual ones.

First off one of our party members went into the downstate fairly close to him in phase 2, and the boss then did his teleport ability to the downed party member, this caused Giganticus to reset and go back to phase 1.

Also we had wiped once with Giganticus with 2 stacked of empowered on him. Low and behold when we went for another go, Phase 1 he started off with 2 stacks right off the bad, so he had inherited the 2 stacks of empowered from the last fight.

Also i know there was a patch updating the fact that if you leave the party you get kicked out, well this time one person had left the party (who was not the party leader) and it had kicked all of us out of the dungeon, during a boss fight.

So what you’re telling me is you didnt even bother to test it with 1g and buy the gems, then see if you would ATLEAST get your money back or even remotely close to it. Just instead you decided to throw 200g in there. My friend you should have done your research and noticed that the conversion rate of gold to gems has gone down, down, down, down, down, down, and down over the past few months. At the rate it is now i’m not sure if you will ever be able to gain a profit using the conversion rate.

Maybe they aren’t in-game skins because those weapons were pushed during the last two events while other weapons haven’t been.

I love having Mini Pets and summoning them, but I would love to keep one in my inventory at all times to keep summoned. But I also use the “Deposit all collectibles” tab. So kitten end ups always back into my bank. Please add a “Lock Collectible” ability so my Mini won’t keep going into my bank.

Does the Commander icon only go to one of your characters or to all of them once you buy and use the book? Just trying to see if I should be thinking about which character to put it on or if I need to even think about that.

So my friend just got guild wars and my server is full and he can’t join it. Can he join another server then once mine opens up transfer to mine right away, or does he have to wait a week with the one transfer a week deal?

How is projected profit calculated on the trading post, because I had figured it was just the amount you sell an item for minus the listing fee, but this isn’t true (see the picture).
The item in which I was selling, I had put up for 2 silver and 88 copper. That minus the listing fee would be 2 silver and 74 copper. But the projected profit is 2 silver and 59 copper, where did the other 15 copper go?!

This chart is solely from the server Blackgate, though I suspect the pattern may be similar to other servers.

These numbers were taken at various times during the day throughout the month.

This chart may not interest some of you, but it is for those that are interested to see if there is a pattern to try to make a profit. Or to see the past month’s conversion rates.

For Example, if you bought Gems with gold on Nov 4th, and sold them today you would’ve made a pretty penny in profit.

Weapon skins from holiday (seasoned) events.. I love the idea, but why push out some weapon skins that already had weapon skins from the Halloween update, and leave out some entirely like example, longbow/shortbow?

While Sword and other weapons now have 2 special weapon skins while others don’t even have one. I really hope the December event doesn’t leave some of the weapons still excluded.

It seems like all these captain need to be re-evaluated to secure safe conditions for workers and riders aboard these airships.

Yes, I’d like to file a complaint. I was in the Ruins of Arah dungeon earlier, and I would like to file a complaint that the Captain of the ship seemed to have no previous driving skills and was allowed to fly an airship erratically.
Are we now hiring people for these high risk, very important jobs without thoroughly looking at one’s resume?

I would like to see this “Captain” suspended from his job until further training has been completed.

It seems a bit over the top for a Thief to be able to Finish off someone in WvW/PvP while stealthed, so no one can do anything about it. I’ve done my fair share of doing this in PvP as a Thief. Both on giving it and receiving this tactic. But as of lately I feel like it just isn’t right.

I get an error a few times saying “Incorrect Password” and it exits Guild Wars. This error happens while I am already playing Guild Wars.

Am I the only one that feels like killing a Sentry should be worth more points for killing them, 2 points doesn’t seem like enough to make nearly any contribution towards the point total. Just a thought.

First off I would like to say that Tier 1 has been fun the past week and a half.

For those who are saying that BG just isn’t ready for Tier 1, I ask why? We dominate tier 2 all the time, sometimes holding both opponents to less than 10,000 in a whole week. We came in 2nd last week in tier 1 (with the hurricane and Halloween event, even though all realms didn’t have full force, it’s still 2nd place).
Som might say we don’t belong because our strategies lack, well that’s simply because we are still used to face rolling tier 2 and not used to actual fights. Give us a few weeks to adjusts our strategies and we will progressively get better.

I am from Blackgate and I will straight up say JQ and SBI are better than us, there’s no denying that.

And using the whole orb hacking reason to say we aren’t ready, let me tell you that was one guild doing that hack and they do not represent how the rest of us in Blackgate play.
Most of us on Blackgate do not applaud those kind of tactics.

We are losing right now, but many thought we would have flat out been dominated, but that just didn’t happen. We are still around with a good chunk of points.

If we were to go back to tier 2, we would probably just dominate that and you would see us in tier 1 the next week again anyway.

We are ready for Tier 1, we may not be better than SBI or JQ but we have the potential and being in Tier 1 week in and week out we will progressively get better and give you guys a better fight.

I agree, the other day there was about 50 of us going around zerging and we came across this supply camp that was easy enough to get.. Until one of their Thief’s showed up, took us (50 of us!) about 5-10 minutes to even find the thief and actually kill it. That is kind of ridiculous that a thief can hold 50 people at bay from capturing a point.

The thing is.. the zone-wide event is nowhere to be found.

Why doesn’t any doorways let me into the Labyrinth anymore? They just all offer trick or treat, is this event done forever? Can we not get in there anymore?

When people actually say that the cutscene does indeed still play every hour or so, that bothers me. Nothing about it makes any sense that they would market something as being a one-time event when it is still happening.

I am only complaining that what they had claimed to be a One Time Event is not a one time event. They had misleading advertising for it. Thats the core of this topic and just here to leave feedback that can help Anet in the future with their advertising of their events. Feedback that is meant to be helpful for Anet has turned into personal attacks..

I was THERE.. and I can tell you.. you CAN re-live the event on youtube, nothing special. Watching the cut-scene in person and watching the cut-scene on youtube.. same feeling

I loved this one time event. It was a ton of fun waiting in LA with hundreds of people with absolutely NO IDEA what was going to happen when the clock struck noon. People were dancing, there were fireworks going off everywhere, food/costume fights galore. It was epic. Then when the MK burst through the statue people just went crazy. Everyone dove straight into the portal having no idea what to expect and it was a blast.

I’m sorry if your expectations weren’t met, but that really isn’t Anet’s fault. They never said nor implied that this event was going to be some grand opportunity that would instantly grant everyone legendaires or something.

I thought that everyone in the zone would have had to fight the Mad King in Lion’s Arch and maybe push him back into his realm. I was disappointed that it was just a cutscene (in which I didn’t get to see the Mad King at all) but such is life. I’m sure ArenaNet will take the feedback they’ve got from this event and improve the Christmas event in two months.

And that’s exactly what I want, people may think I am implying I want some kind of imediant change, no. I just want to to know this stuff for future holiday events. So they can keep improving the game.

You’re absolutely right.. I dont think ANYONE took One-Time event to be One-Time Cutscene.. see how more people would be anticipating an actual event instead of a cutscene. But you probably don’t since One-Time Event and One-Time Cutscene is interchangeable for you.

Why didn’t they just keep the lion statue there, but play a cutscene when you click on it, so that you and your party see the mad king break out before you start the little dungeon.
This would have prevented their servers going fubar because of everyone being logged in and would have allowed everyone to see the cutscene.
There was no point in this being one time only. Just another case of silly design.

Because Arena Net is trying to give us a Living breath world MMO, In the real world Events happen that you won’t always be around to witness. Events like this Emulate that.

Every year they Drop the ball in New York City on New Years, I don’t get to be there to witness it. I just miss it, I don’t the get epic feeling of the crowd or get to experience any of the things they do if you are there. That’s just life.

There is a huge problem with your logic, actually being in NYC to watch the ball drop is different, different feeling, different vibe, etc. Watching a cutscene in-game to watching a cutscene on youtube has the same exact feeling. NOTHING is different. In the NYC thing there is a huge difference.

They said that AFTER the fact, that’s the problem. Misleading advertisements shouldn’t be applauded by the public which a good chunk of you guys are doing. I am not complaining about the actual event afterwards. Just the promoting that it is a one time thing that no matter what you shouldn’t miss. But a cutscene=/=event in my book.

Actually I didnt say anything about items. Just some sort of actual event that could have only been played by those who were there to actually participate in this “one time event”. I dont care about the loot, just that Anet hyped it to be like something that only those online could do, only to find out it’ll be running for the next couple days.

How about “one time cinematic event”… because one time ’Event" in this game implies its going to be an in game actual event like a dynamic event or such.

Only left work 30min early but still I hardly consider Mad King Thorn blowing up a statue a one time event.. i would’ve just watched that part on youtube, i liked the event. But please next time dont say that it will be a one time event if it can be run for a few days.

I had left early for work to get home just in time for this ‘one time event’ just to realize later on in the day it can still be done, how can it be a one time event if it can be done all day long? Horrible advertisement saying its a one time event..
