Well actually no you don’t, as I said in my post above, you do not need to purchase or use any gems whatsoever to partake in all the activitys, I was able to afford the witch’s costume and the Mad King costume and some keys because I bought my gems 2 weeks ago when the event was said to involve gems, knowing that they would spike I bought them then, you don’t need to B2P or farm 24/7, don’t be mad cause you can’t make gold.
By that logic you dont “Need” to do anything in this game, but considering that all the nice stuff is hang infront of you with sparkly dollar signs says otherwise. This is a money grab holiday, there is no denying that.
I enjoyed 1 shotting with Ambush, or immortal tanking on a disc priest. fluff is cute and all but it will hardly keep any “hardcore” players. You dont feel more superior with a fluffier weapon.
Nerds are hard to please these days, actually they are impossible to please. there is not 1 game out that hasnt received heavy flak, not 1. You guys need to go outside and take a deep breathe, remember its only computer games, they exist for mere entertainment away from the real world, nothing more.

As someone thats been running 5 bots since launch, i must say Arena net clearly doesnt care iv made enough to buy this game 10 times over already, scary thing is my accounts have not been banned yet.. and run 24/7, even blizzard wasnt this bad.. oh well! keep up the bad work
Rofl why are you playing a pvp game for its pve? Op is ridiculous, some “bugs” are cracks? hardly. its clear you have no software coding experience if you expect a 1 month game to be completely bug free, you live in a dream world.
I’m shocked iv seen the same bots for 2 weeks now autoattacking 24/7 at most events, iv sent alteast 500 reports on each one, yet they remain. rolled an alt and levelling through, bots and more bots at every event, they are starting to outnumber the real players. i will be joining them tonight as clearly nothing is being done about it, good way to make gold while afk.
Its very clear nothing is being done about bots. may aswell join them.
If anything rangers need a nerf, there long bow distance is just unbelievably sick, cross fire with swiftness is just sick. your piercing shots is just sick, your aoe cripple is just sick. you guys are currently the gods of wvw, and that is a fact, if you are not totally dominating in a fight as a ranger i suggest learning to play.. crying about damage rofl..
Sorry but im not buying it. theres been 3 bots for the last week and a half camping the exact same spot 24/7 at Archen Foreland by the everspawning drakes, and yes they are still there as we speak. ill refrain from posting there names here unless asked. i think iv wasted plague more times than actually using it lol.. im pretty sure we are not the only ones, id like an option to move / disable for “shift out morph” option, or add a 2sec cool down to deactivating it!
Hi, during the heat of combat i tend to hit my keys pretty hard lining up spells / attacks, i cant even tell you how many times iv wasted plague by pressing it twice & it sends me in and out of it, aswell as with Death Shroud? is there any options or ways to put a small cooldown to avoid going out of it instantly? am i the only one?
please… this is the only game iv played in 30 years where random [none guildies] people thank you for reviving & assisting 9/10 times [EU], and banter on the trade channels are mostly troll & hate free.. i just log into wow and trade is spammed with anal, and people erping out in the open with gold sellers! agh

This is the exact same thing I fell about you? and the exact same thing I been trying to do. I have nothing, against people complain, and I have no problem with people bring up game issue, heck I even have a long list myself of things I want fixed. Nor do I have any problem with people wanting a reward. The problem is the “reward people need for their time spent” in the game. I’m tired and sick of games where loot demand everything. I all ready stated in other thread that it’s fine with cosmetic gear as a reward, or silly fun Achievements. But that ain’t what most people want. If that is the kinda of rewards, non game changing rewards. Then sure, go nuts. But I have as much right as others, to say my opinion about the issue’s you bring up.

It’s not that people who are 80 WANT more loot, We need more cashflow to pay the crazy in game taxes, be it armour repairs or waypoints.
Do you know how much it costs to way point around from one side of Tyria to another.
So what you want us to go to Heart of the mists, then to LA then portal to the racial town the destination we want is in, then run the rest of the way?
And armour repair please dont make a dumb remark like, DONT DIE SO OFTEN, so its their fault they dont have your masterful skill o mighty pveer.

Cant be very good if you’re having money problems.. no offence.. i cash in about 3g during a wvw session that includes keeping 5 of each siege blueprints & armor always repaired. i dont do pve at all and havnt even touched half the content other than pvp and currently sitting on 74gold just from pvp.. i think you need to step your game up a few notches.. this is not wow where gold falls from the sky and everyone is rich.
Don’t think it will really change at this point, its demolishing to see the fruits of your labor abolished while you’re at work / rl / sleep ect, knowing it will only happen again the next night.. soon enough people will loose the motivation to even try retake points knowing they will be gone again in a couple hours. the weekends is where its at.. where rl obligations can be halted to some degree & the playing field is somewhat level.
I love how every single day, Far Shiverpeaks cries on and on about how the French are nightcapping, blaming canadians, blaming french more population, ect.
But what they aren’t mentioning is all of their previous match ups against other servers where they did pretty much what the French are doing now. Yeah I agree the French nightcap, but so did we against all the other servers we epicly destroyed. You’re all just crying because basically they;
a) they do it better
b) they are A LOT more organzied than us.
b) they actually defend their supply cams
d) majority actually know when to stop pushing and defend (build up ect)
We are ultimately relying on simply zerging everything, then at nighttime when obviously their more ‘skilled’ core (maybe for the intent of people sleeping, i duno. but either way it’s completely fair, see ‘art of war’ for reasons why)
Stop crying, accept the fact the majority of us play like the risen and start listening to the commanders, join a proper PvP guild and HELP FSP by joining TS servers, forum posts, ect. Register on the FSP forums – join an alliance, help, co-operate with people!

We were trying to defend Stonemist Castle against 2 servers on Friday late evening (one on each corridor only focused against ourselves and not fighting each other). Did we cried like babies because we were 1 Vs 2? This is being #1 in the spirit, we fought until our last breath and even if we lose we raise back and fight, we have players dedicated to play during the night, we have players ready to suffer during the day, we are just here to fight and give the best of us. Not to whine when we lose. It is the price to pay when you are number one. The day we won’t be number one, I am pretty sure all the Canadians and Africans will migrate to the #1 server, and #2 or #3 will find new arguments to accuse #1 of cheating, being unfair etc…

However, taunts and lies apart, there were good fights and I thank all VS, FS and Desolation WvW players for that!
pff im a south african playing on FS with our 150man guild, 70ms, internet is fine. our timezones with europe is normally an hour off or hour on so thats no problem either, FS does not have a 24/7 wvw community running that is what this whole wa wa wa threads about XD
so because you are losing ground when you are sleeping arenanet should implement it that you dont lose as much points because of that?

my server is not french, yet we HAVE to resort to nightcapping, because we alway are outnumbered 5 to 1. last week it was whiteside, this week nihilum alone outnumbers our wvw people…

how is it they can play day and night every day, why do they not have jobs or sleep? howcome FS was dominating on the weekend but when RL came around everything changed so fast? is it a timezone thing?
its rather pathetic, the french own every single point on all the maps and have since the game launched, we cannot cap even 1.. if its like this during the 2 week matches i dont see this wvw going very far & noone will end up joining just like now. and wtf is with that unmanned buff? magic find? experience? what does experience & magic find help when its 100vs3 every single time? why not power buffs? stupidly designed.

not really as simple as that, got home last night from my fiances place at about 2am, logged into wvw and the french owned every point in the map.. walk out the base into 100 arrow carts.. leave wvw.. cant really “fight the good fight” when noones bothering to log in, due to there overpowering numbers soz. And that unmanned buff is pathetic, wtf magic find? you need to kill someone to get an item, that aint happening when its 40vs1. atleast give a player power buff instead.
wvw is boring, heavily unmanned the whole time, cant do jack #@$* or take anything, pity.. i had high hopes..
If what you are looking is even fights just following a zerg, go on a low tiers www server. not on a first tiers against vizunah
VS have all the french hardcore trifaction WvW MMO guilds which were dominating Daoc and Warhammer. they aren’t from different countries like fs and desolation and they know each other since a long time
Even during days these guilds don’t go in a zerg but let the zerg of peons do what they want while they harass enemy zergs and position sometimes just to deplete ressource with small groups of 8 to 15 everywhere.
They also use fake moves, guerilla tactics to battle 10 vs 50.
They use groups of thief scouts to kill dolyaks, inform on enemy moves to get on their back and even stole the work of a server on another on a second door or even on a boss
there are no zergs or wvw guilds on my “high” server, most have given up on getting spawn camped for 2 weeks.
