Well I said it before and i will say it again, imho theres an easy way of partial fixing pets, that is to make their AI behave like the AI of WoW pets, they can attach while moving.

If the damage would be too high nerf it, but what predator does stand still while chasing its prey in order to launch an attack? and then misses it b/c the prey keeps running while the predator stops to attack?
I understand that u cant implement a lion like behavior where they just drag their prey down to the ground and such but JUST MAKE PETS ATTACK ON THE MOVE just like the pets in wow do, you should not be able to outrun a pet w/o swiftness anyways, its a freaking wolf/hyena/tiger/w/e almost any animal is faster than a human being.

or remove the damage from the pets entirely make em cc/buff bots and contribute the dmg back to the ranger, idk i just dont like the fact that you must lock down a target in order to make ur pet deal damage, im not talking about the average player whos does dodgeroll for no reason and then dies due to having no dodge available when it matters, im talking about the players that actually know how to play around that mechanic.

But thats just my 2 cents

Seafarers Never Rest [RIP] LF members to join the guild mainly for wvw, no guildraids yet, running with PUG commanders for now. Pls be geared, no rallybots.

omg guys chill.. its not hard to farm silk is it? Go farm events in cursed shore for one day and get like a full stack of silk scraps… next to lots of rares and tier 6 mats.

Silver Doubloons, Lodestones, Eyes and Precursors ofc, i havent had a drop since i was playing the beta… dig dat.

Guest on a server farmin orr events in cursed shore (Abbadons Mouth [DE]) does it all day. u get up to 200 bags / day or more, they contain t6 mats aswell as the mobs drop mostly bones and dust . since there are lots of champs spawning during the event chains i think its a lot more profitable than fgs champ train

That answers the question about the viablity of a PvE scepter imho.

Wow, what build is this guy running? This video was INCREDIBLE. And I love the scepter, it’s one of my favorite weapons to use, if not always the most plausible, I’d love to make something like this workable!

Well i assume he runs something like this:
Zeal: 4 Pts = II and IX
Radiance 6 pts = VI, whatever and XI
At least 2 pts in Honor cuz he got perma vigour and Save Yourselfes in only on a 48sec cd instead of 60.

Thats all i can see from the video itselfes, in case i didnt miss something obvoius.
Well I`d put the remaining 2 Pts into Valor: VI for more Precision and Ferocity.

Show me one boss that is constantly moving around.

Scepter is totally viable due to all bosses standing still all day, or at least for the duration of a smite, only boss would be lyssa event, teleporting running around all day, but other than that, I use my scepter for the common dungeons and it works perfectly.

As mentioned b4, u can go melee with the scepter, its not like there would be a penalty for doing so.
U guys all about bla bla scepter only large hitbox, its not like u couldnt switch ur weapon out for heavy moving mobs/bosses…

well u shouldnt use a scepter when fighting a grp of mobs, ofc thats obvious but for single target ist perfectly fine since u can immob mobs with #3 for the duration of a smite if u use smite b4 scpeter #3 the mob takes its full duration.

Well, if u r playing on EU Servers, go SFR (Seafarers Rest), server is full, no queues, we win wvw every week, adn we will win the next tournament aswell (kitteny as kitten :P).

Community is pretty mature, compared to other mmos, we have musicbots on our server ts3 aswell. Our commanders are amongst the best eu, if not THE best.

you should also FINALLY implement capture the flag arenas and team deathmatch arenas.
2 soimple concepts, an EASY task for any professional programmer, simple map (like warsong gulch) to flag points a few rivers and other things to maneuver around or use tactically to block a flag runner, its just that easy and you could make people love this game again.

and i predict that this game will die just liek SWTOR if u dont change your content politics, cuz it went really bad i mean REALLY BAD, its boring as it is right now, really boring and repeatative, same task just another disguise… kill this mob xxx times, use item y xxx times, i mean cmon guys really???
its 2013 this stuff is outdated if someone ver played an mmo before gw2 is juzst liek a mix of rift, vindictus and (insert any rvr game).
Implement player created contend, just like in Neverwinter Online for example.
Well limit loot and exp to prevent a dungeon with a chest filled with 10k gold and full of ascendend gear.
and for sake of your income, sell tokens, just liek them for selfmade arenas, to keep the dungeon up and such u know?
Just start realising that u went the wrong route, and this game will last for so many years and will keep selling, cuz tbh i promoted gw2 in the beginning but since 2 months, i dont recommend it to anyone anymore.

Well when the game first launched i was so exited and had a ton of fun, i even played on beta weekends and preordered the game.

But this game turned out to be a boring grindfest as it is now, the living world is a joke, its all about stupid tasks which doesnt challenge the player as an indiviual or a team as a team at all.
The living wolrd feels so pointless to mee its cheap it looks actually as if the devs are desperate and rush out pointless content to the game.
There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING epic about GW2, the dragon fights are a joke, all meta bosses are a joke. hte bosses are way to static to be a real challenge, its a walk in the park srsly, make them attack more frequently to a) Increase the level of challenge and b) make a debuff called CONFUSION (ya people would like it to be actually VIABLE in pve) work.
You should also make conditions tick stronger against MOBs to make condition builds an option to direct damage in dungeons.

WvW is ridicioulus aswell, i mean theres no point for a dominant server liek mine (SFR) to hold a keep at all costs, u can let it drop and get it back later, cuz u can do it within 2-3 minutes….
Pure manpower decides the outcome of a match, and nightcoverage, thats bullkitten, the elonas reach people are really great wvw opponents and tbh they would easily be #1 if they would have more manpower, and that is the bad thing about it, tactics are mostly irellevant xept for a gvg fight. Manpower decides the outcome of a week.

i mean its not that hard to make this game a real epic experience, and this game aint even as close to be as epic as u promoted it, still no housing and the personal instance in your race`s capitals are a joke, theire pointless unless for farming them crystals spawning there.+
Why dont u release some content which forces the servers to work together, i mean pve wise? Like the Vanilla WoW`S Ahn Quiraj opening, less grindy more fast paced, like an invasion, and if u dont stop it a village will be destroyed and u have to rebuild it, i mean not like a cheap 5 min event i mean where u actually have t gather stones and wood and kitten like that, it should take a week or more to rebuild the mentioned town. make the attackers pread and siege and hold their ground on captured towns and important waypoints to make people actually FELL THAT THE WORLD IS ALIVE and that they have an impact with what they do.
You could get so much more money out of this game if you would PUT REAL EFFORT INTO it and LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY!!!

Guys seriously, the engineer as a class is strong enough as it is now full stop here.
They`re well balanced, and i think no non engineer player would welcome the heavy armor thing u suggest here.
Engineers survivability is well rounded, no need to add extra armor to this class.
Imagine Necros would get heavy armor, hahahahaha cmon guys this is absolutely hilarious.

Other weapons i might agree with, but no boost to survivability anymore, they`re really strong enough, and if u disagree your betraying yourself, just look at the well played engineers out there.

Seeing an engineer in plate armor would be ridicioulus, the image i got in my head makes my eyes bleed.

well i think you will be disappointed but confusion is so not viable in PvE due to the low attack frequency of mobs.
They just dont attack frequent enough to make confusion viable. Most of your confusion stacks will be wasted tho, if it has to be conditions, which i highly not recommend, focus on burning bleeds and poison.

Generally its better to run a Power/Crit (Berzerker Gear) Build. Direct damage builds are the most viable builds, you will deal A LOT more damage in half the time it took you to apply conditions, 3k autoattack rifle crits for example, no condition spec will keep up with that damage.

But in the end its up to you, but your party, even if they might not tell you this, would be much more happy with a power/crit build.

just wanted to suggest solutions.
Since the Pet is intended as an important source of the rangers damage, this is what needs to be done to make that concept work.

1.) Ranger Pet-AI:

Just use the mechanics WoW uses. Pet can attak sucsessful while moving.
Pet problem solved, right? I mean if u played a Hunter in WoW u know what i mean, the AI is superior compared to GW2`s.

2.) Pets dying to often in PVE:

90% AoE dmg Reduction like in WoW would solve that issue RIGHT AWAY!!!

3.) Lupicus…

Dont play PvE anymore but back then the Pet triggered maggots to spawn at their position in the lupicus fight, why i had to keep my pet passive near me = lots of dmg loss….
Solution: Make sure pets dont trigger the maggots to spawn at their position.

4.) Decrease the pets aggro range.

I think this solves the biggest problems out there.

If u agree pls let the devs know by write a comment of agreement. And fyi if we fight each other with stupid comments nothing will happen. So keep it on a low and be gentle to each other, were all humans and we all bleed the same blood.

why dont they just copy/paste the pet ai from WoW? i dont get it.. the WoW pets work nearly flawless in every way.
Idk they should pay blizz a few bucks for the ai code or w/e.

i also highly criticise that a net doesnt even respond here, cuz mmm necros have a huge disadvantage over the other classes.
I mean are those guys lazy? The ranger pets work, the turrets and the mesmer illusions work too.
