All they need to do is switch the Orb Buff with the Outmanned Buff.
And wala, there you go. Plenty of incentive to get orbs and outmanned servers get a nice damage/survive buff.
Can’t you just ctrl + T to keep track of the real one?
They can only have ONE phantasm up at a time. And EVEN then, phantasm damage reduced. This is how strong they are at the moment.

We can have 3 phantasms up at any given time.
So you have no points in inventions or alchemy and are complaining about dying fast as a glass cannon?
Also, you’re not max level and complaining about dying to 80’s in full berserker gear?
I think you could go with an engineer rifle build. It has the reach on its auto attack at the least and that pierces. You could roll with the grenade kit for aoe. You can most definitely get PERMA swiftness by using the tool kit trait for swiftness when equipping a tool kit (The med kit works great for this, not just for being a great heal on top of that :P).
They are also great at running with net shot and the knockdown w/ self knockback.
Just a really fun class.
The 1 problem I have with Engineer is that the grenade skills have a ton of in air time/cast time lag and I find it nearly impossible to hit someone I am fighting/chasing while moving the camera around. But thanks for the reply, I need to see if I can get over that annoyance as they do have a lot of cool abilities.
Hello all, first off, I AM NOT looking for the “best” or “overpowered” profession. I have a few things in mind that I want in a profession, but I’m unsure if the exact combination actually exists in the game.
These are the following things I am looking for in WvW and PvE:
1) Mobility, the ability to maintain near perma or perma swiftness is ideal. The WvW area is huge and its really boring to have to run through at normal run speed. Same goes for PvE.
2) Ability to disengage fights and be elusive/fast/mobile enough to run away from 1v1s turned into 1v20s. I understand you are going to get caught and die sometimes, but is there a profession that has great escape skills to live another day?
3) 1200+ range: This one is so I don’t feel useless on keep defense/assault. It seems getting in melee range of the gates is asking for death. 1200+ range is a must. Note, I love smashing face with Greatswords and Hammers, but having a good ranged weapon alternative is a must.
4) Bring utility (buffs/usefullness) OR aoe damage in zerg situations. Whats the good in having a great 1v1 character if you run into/with zergs all the time and you can’t be effective?
5) OPTIONAL – I prefer power and critical builds, condition builds just aren’t appealing to me. This is a minor detail though, as I’m sure in the future all professions should have viable alternatives.
Based on these 4 qualifications, what profession am I looking for? Can I get mobility, 1200+ range alternate weapon, aoe utility or damage(guessing not both?), and elusiveness/escapability?
Even a profession that fits most of these qualifications would be awesome.

Hi everyone,
First off I wanted to say that I am having a blast playing this game, with the one exception that I am going mad trying to pick a class to get to 80. I currently have 8 level 15+ characters but I can’t figure out which one to just sit down and play.
What I like/am looking for that I’ve seen so far from other professions.
1) Perma swiftness – My engineer, with just 10 trait points had perma swiftness which I used and cannot forget. The profession must have something close to perm swiftness which is amazing in pve and wvw. I love flying across open land at a blistering pace.
2) Ability to run Power/Crit builds – I really enjoy seeing big numbers instead of a bunch of small ones ( I know its the same overall damage, but still). So I’m looking for a profession that will favor Power/Crit Builds with the ability to also go Conditions. Flexibility to run both effectively is what I really desire (for variety over time.)
3) Range – I want a profession that can perform at 1200 range effectively. I know most professions have some long ranged weapon, but I get extremely frustrated in WvW if I don’t have great range abilities.
So, is the Necro capable of these 3 things and I just haven’t seen it? Or is there some other class out there that can offer me Perma Swiftness, ability to go power or condition, and have great 1200+ range abilities for WvW?
