Can I use this build while I am still doing map completion? Which gear should I use then?

So I just hit level 80 with my guardian and wanted to ask which build I should use with which weapons. I intend on playing Fractals and WvW, although I would like to have a armor set for Map Completion and general PvE as I’m farming for my legendary.

Hope someone can help!

Well yeah, I asked them and they said that they could not do such a thing.
Honestly that’s kinda sad considering most other MMOs are able to do that (including F2Ps).
Whatever I’ll try the suggestions forum :/

In-game, no there’s no way, you can’t transmute medium to heavy or the other way around either. Your only hope is to try support, but be prepared to wait for a while, since AFAIK they don’t usually do that.

Yeah but where would I get the other weight?

When it was possible, I did the achievement to get the Fused Gauntlet ticket. I decided at that point thakitten was best to use it for my Engineer.
Since then though I have definitely shifted my mind towards the Guardian and now holeheartedly regret using my Ticket for the Medium Gauntlets. Is there any way I can exchange my Medium Fused Gauntlets with Heavy ones?
Maybe I should try my luck with the support? I would even pay for that :’(

So, I gotta choose between Japanese or Russian at school (well, those are the options I care about), and I can not decide.

I speak Kurdish, Turkish and German natively. My English is also on a very high level. I also learned Latin. Another thing I’d like to mention is that I am very talented in learning languages due to having such a strong background on them.

When I’m older I’d like to work in an executive position in a technology/gaming based company. So I came here to ask, maybe I can get some good answers here and if I am lucky I’ll even get a dev response!

I totally understand you. I’d rather get my money by being in the open world and doing what I want (That’s what ANet promised by the way). But to have my 8 characters well equipped I need to do this. So no offense taken bro.

Trait yourself with Strength, Arms and Discipline. For example 30/30/0/0/10.
Then just buy Power/Precision/Critical damage statted armor, weapons and accessories. It’s called Berserker gear and can be found on Trading Post.

This build is not considered really good, because you have no support abilities at all and you die really easily. It works in CoF since it’s pretty easy dungeon… But there you go anyway.

Yeah I know it’s only good for CoF. But that’s what I’ll be doing with this character anyways. Thanks for the build!

What gear should I buy?

Hmm nah I’m not trying to RP anything, just don’t want to notice I’m playing a female character because I hate doing that normally.

So, I decided on creating a Charr Elementalist, seeing the Flame Legion armor and all that stuff. So I created a Male Charr Elementalist, slimmest body and rather small.
The result was an overly hunched giant shoulder-y caster that was in no way looking like one. I mean why didn’t we get upright Charr?!!!

Whatever, so I thought: Okay, the female Charr are way slimmer, why don’t I just create one of those and imagine it’s male.

Did anyone else do that? How did you get over the voices (NOT by turning down the volume)? What face and horns did you take? What hair?

I’d love to read some answers!

I have following problem with so many alts: I burn out extremely fast, not because of the characters but because I have to do all the areas so many times. Any tips on that?

I’ve heard about people using different characters for different things in the game. I might try that. I’d just not know which character to use for what^^
I would still want to keep a main or something on which i can work on, master the class and be rewarded, that kind of stuff.
I get bored very easy so I really need active and versatile playstyles.

I have characters of all races and professions. I however cannot decide which profession to choose as “main” i.e for me get legendary on etc. etc.

What I prefer is: People loving me, in PvP, WvW, PvE whatever. With that I mean just things like “Wow, thanks for this and that”. I had that often in other MMOs where I played either support or tank.

I have considered a Guardian, although I fear it may be too blunt and boring. So fun is also important for me. What I can say is that I have very good reflexes^^

Nah it’s just I personally do not like playing female characters whatsoever. Just can’t do it. Others may like it, I don’t.

Is there an option for a golden skin color on sylvari characters that would go with a golden armor dye? (Especially the T3 Cultural Heavy Male Armor)

I already have a Sylvari Mesmer and am planning on doing one of each profession.

I wanted to ask what race combinations do you find the most appealing aesthetically?

I am currently in a guild but that guild is sadly not very active in terms of PvE (Dungeons especially).

So I am looking for a guild that is good at speedrunning any dungeons frequently.
I would also like to start getting into fractals once I have leveled my fractal character up.
I would prefer a guild that is friendly and helpful.
That is about all I expect.

I myself am 16 years old (lawl I hope anyone wants that) and from Germany but my English is rather fine. (I suppose).

You`ve definitely helped me with my decision.
I am now going to make a Thief, Guardian and an Engineer. Now I have but one problem: That’s two medium armor professions. What I fear is the characters looking too similar. I actually wanted to save the Thief so I could create a Tengu Thief or whatever a newly added race will offer. The Engineer could be Human and the Guardian Charr.

What do you think in terms of matching each profession to a race? What would you recommend? (I don’t know for Asura, they are really a bit too small I wanna see my armor and grow my kitten^^)

That depends entirely on how you spec’d your mesmer and how you intend to spec your thief.

I think my complexes are coming back. I can’t decide if I should ditch my lvl 51 Sylvari Mesmer and make a Necromancer instead. And if I would do that, I’d probably do vice versa after the Necromancer is 50.
I actually planned to play Sylvari Necromancer before release, but decided to make a Mesmer. Now I don’t want to have those 50 levels go to waste

consist of a first name and a surname and those names should sound rather Middle Eastern/Elonan.

I suggest you gather the opinion of Sylvari and Asura alike.

As an asura I would like to point out our intellect, good looks (observe these luxurious ears!), our high technology and mod cons in what is a backwater cesspit of a world (We built our city in the air so it doesn’t have to sit amongst the filth and grime) – we have golem servants and workers so we may follow intellectual and private pursuits, etheric entertainment such as television and radio.

But I could make my Sylvari like an asura, he dreamt of them, behaves like the etc.

So, I really need help in picking between those two races. I mean, I needed a kittenon of time do decide which profession to pick (engineer, as he is the most versatile and I wont get bored I hope), mind you I am playing since the first beta :/, but now my second dilemma is here:

I won’t play Norn, too clumsy. Same goes for Charr. Humans are humans, way too boring.

So my decision lay between Asura and Sylvari. I really love how the asura behave, their personal story and all that, but I don’t like that they are so tiny, and I would actually like to see my long farmed armor
Now with Sylvari, the Story is pretty decent, their looks are good, but I don’t like their attitude and story as much as the asura one.

So, I would really appreciate any kind of support on this dilemma.

I don’t know if going Charr Necromancer is worth it as there are only a few sets of armor that fit him, but most of the sets fit the Human one. But I really want to play the Charr storywise but I don’t like the look of most of the light armor sets on them, the medium ones are “ok”.

So, I am currently in a really big dilemma, which is following:

I decided to make one character for each race, and I have found my combos for all races except the human and the charr.

The professions I will take for these two characters are Necromancer and Ranger. The Only problem is, I don’t know whether to go Ranger or Necromancer with the Charr, and which profession then to take with the Human.

The decision will be purely based on aesthetics. So, I really a fearing that the Charr Necromancer will look bad with light armor, and thats my key problem. I also dunno how they look in medium armor, and from what I have seen it doesn’t look much charr-like.

So I would really be glad if you could assist me with the decision which profession to take on which race.
