i’m cool with this if it only shows the skin name for gear sometimes a player is AFK if you ask or whatever so it can be a help for people to look for certain items
haha, well atleast it’s there for anyone else who stubles accross the thread, so apart from a first person zoom feature being both better for taking screen shots and getting a better look at things it will also help for those who’d like to adapt it to the oculus rift
might help explain it wooden potatoes playing GW1 with the occulus and how immersive it really feels, can only imagine how it must feel in GW2 with massive bosses
I cant say i disagree, i love GW2 and what Anet did but… i enjoyed it more during the beta or just after release i mean an ettin meant business it used to be if you’re not careful you got slaughtered just in the open world not hard just.. if you wasn’t paying attention but now i can mindlessly slaughter whatever i come near but i can understand not having it intense everywhere in the world because that becomes a strain but still
I stopped playing for a good while due to the fact that it felt like after you got to a certain level of skill there wasn’t anywhere for you to go you only needed a certain point to complete all the explorables all that was left after that was.. well lets try and do it faster?
i came back to check out what changed and i’ve been enjoying seeing the dragonbash story and playing in the dragonball area but as far as PvE goes.. well i dont feel very inclined at all i think the explorables should have stayed as challenging as people felt they were at the start just to be rewarding for that amount of challenge (but anet ended up dumbing them down and making it more rewarding.. heh)
I agree there should be some harder content asin content that would end up getting announced for whoever killed the final boss first something really difficult to aim for, while also having all this other content (or the content involved before the really hard bosses) is something for the casuals to do but because of this lack of challenge i’ve ended up just being a casual player on GW2 going off and on.
the only thing i disagree’d wiith is the skins being available accross all characters i think it should work more like dyes you choose which character you want to unlock that skin for so that you cant just get everything you need by only ever playing one character other than that i was confused as to why this wasnt implemented in the first place i actually expected it, i remember the Anet devs talking about how they want the fashion of GW2 to change depending on the majority of people but we dont have much freedom for changing our look when we have to destroy one of the items skins for a one time change
i’m on a 32bit windows vista OS and it happens to me when changing zones (some reason the distance of the other zone i’m teleporting to seems to have an effect but without fail after transfering maps 3-4 times the game WILL crash) when the crash message shows up to send to Anet when i clicked more details it says ran out of memory
and thats what i want, i want an option to just have a chaotic battle with spells and sword flying everywhere like an actual swords and shields war would be
for people wondering about zhaitans size Tequatl, is about the size of zhaitans wing, when you’re blasting him from teh airship he is VERY far away, i have an image of just how big one of those little heads coming out of his mouth is compared to a human http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u475/maccy66/eb3c4dcf.jpg a human is about as tall as one of the LITTLE heads TEETH, just so you get an isea of how massive zhaitan really is
New Mechanics which aren’t in the game in any form:
- An item that allows u to capture a skin into it. For example you have a steamblade, you use that item on it and you get a “steamblade skin” which you can then trade/use/gift/etc . This is slightly different than transmute stone as you do not need the destination item.
- Plastic surgery (for gems) allow revamp of characters face / hair choices.
- more skills per weapon (ie, let us learn different skills to choose from for our weapons) *Controversial
these are my favorite, especially the more skills per weapon, if you mean keeping 5 useable skills but still being able to learn more skills for that weapon i think is a must, that was we can mix and match abit more and not be doing the same thing all the time, even if it is only 2 more skills per mainhand/2h wep and maybe 1 extra for offhand weapons so that we get abit more choice on how we play/use our characters.
The plastic surgery, or just character resesigns i also really hope for.. we had it in GW1 i dont see why we did it now (obviously i dont think we should be able to change race that might complicate or even mess up the personal stories) i have things i feel i designed wrong on my main character who is level 80 and finished the personal story and it really eats away at me.
The capture armour skin also feels like a must, since we’re going to be mainly playing for skins shouldnt there be a way for us to collect armour skins and be able to change our style every now and again?
as a guardian who loves his shields i fully agree
I do agree, my guild mates and myself want to have 1v1s the best we could manage is jumping into Spvp and trying to find somewhere not many people go in order to have a slight 1v1, as for team deathmatch i personally love the idea, altough most might diagree with me i’d like to see a large scale teamdeathmatch/war… i want an pvp map where its just alot of people vs another lot (say 30vs30?) and it’ll just be first to 500 points wins have fun slaughtering eachother.. i want it for fun not competitive play
do you mean just go to the hall of monuments? or you also want all the armour/wep skins aswell even though people put work into GW1 to earn those things?
Some people dont see the difference between “hardcore” and “time consuming” the only part of hardcore content that should make it take long is dying alot due to not having the practice/skill for it, not have relatively doable content that you just have to repeat over and over
Dungeon gear is supposed to be the “endgame”. If you see someone in full Nightmare gear, they deserved it. I like it. There are cool gears you can get from open world pve, so not really necessary to do dungeons if you don’t like hardcore content.
hardcore content is suppose to be because it is challenging to do not because you have to run it 50 times to get anywhere
There was suppose to be an easy to get “max stat” gear and then you do the hard content for the more eye catching gear or had to do more for it like in GW1
I think everybody agrees that you need to much tokens for the armor. I’d also insist on making 1 sort of token instead of a different one for every dungeon. and also account bound instead of soul.
i agree with this except the account bound statement, and possibly using the same tokens across dungeons, the gear is suppose to be “hey look what content i have completed” means much less when you can farm what ever turns out to be the easiest explorable for it (CoF at the time but i dont see it staying the way it is). and being able to gear up all your alts just by playing one character is something they’ve never wanted.
valid point about the account binding of tokens. But i do think however everyone should have the choise to get the armor the way he wants and not by repeating the same dungeon 50 times. They promised to have a non grind philosophy after all :P
this is why we should be able to get atleast a piece of gear every 1-3 runs (depending on if it’s you’re first time running through and the cost of the piece) not 10 runs for a single piece of gear
This way it atleast shows you’ve played through that explorable content to earn that gear rather then farmed the easiest one possible like CoF
i really woudlnt care about the clipping its not a major issue to me unless its something overkill like going straight through my character but yeah i also miss capes.. i want the norn t3 just because it has things that resemble a cape..
not much else to be added to this post.. wayy too much effort for too little or evem pointless reward, what happened to “max stat gear will be fast and easy to get”?
in terms of pve i find the scepter more than useless (there is something wrong when i can literally outrun my OWN projectile) with how slow it attacks and how little damage it feels it does i find it more useful on ranged fights to just stand back with a mace and whack down healing symbols and spam protection on the rest of the group

yeah 2 of my guildies are planning on just stopping playing and just logging on every now and again untill something improves, “we dont want players to grind in this game” so lets only give people 20 tokens (after doing it the first time) for a 1-2 hour run of a dungeon (excluding CoF) and charge 400 tokens for a single weapon and then give them alot of useless gear from the chests which will become salvage trash
