Hey David, Kronyx was taking a tongue in cheek jab at the normal drama going on in match up threads like these. As a commander, he’s one of our most levelheaded and down to earth guys.

Had an awesome time last night(Oceanic Time) when BP came to YBBL with a zerg of at least 30 possibly 50(i’m no good at counting red names/bodies on a screen while they are moving) to try and take our Bay. I was in EBG when it first started and we were hitting inner Valley. I’m sure we would have been there for quite a while trying to take it, you had some awesome siege there EB. Anyways, our lone commander at the time calls out in map chat that BP were hitting YBBL hard.

We get to YBBL and there is BP banging on S gate of Bay with 5 omegas, we had about 3-4 AC on S gate and were able to take down one golem before they got through outer. we get to inner and realise that we have pretty much nothing in the way of siege on the gates, so we built a couple AC at gate as well as a few AC and a Bal in LR as that was all the supply we had at the time(bay was fortifying). BP took down gate easy enough(they had omegas after all) and then pushed in. I think it took us quite a while to wipe BP that first time. maybe a full defense cycle. but eventually we pushed you out.

BP tried to take bay quite a few times in the hour and a half that i was there, and i’m pretty sure that if we hadn’t had the WP there they would have had it. They even got the Lord down a couple times. I think the last time they tried they had run out of ideas as they were trebing from the camp. We split our forces(not intentionally) PvEers tried the front way while WvWers went over the hill(yes we’re old timers). I think this was the last straw for BP as they slowly dissipated after that.

So i guess you could say that the BP attack accomplished a few things, saved EB’s Valley, denied EB some lovely bags, and gave both YB and BP a LOT of bags and an hour and a half of fun! Thanks BP, it was awesome having you in our BL you are welcome to come and fail again anytime!

I’m sorry ET & SF for the matchup you guys have received this week, it is not going to be fun for you.

All i ever see from EB when they lose(no matter who to) is “Waaaaaa you have more numbers than us! Waaaa but your open field 1v1 suxxorz.” It is never that you guys are outclassed/outskilled, even ages back when it was the old YB/Mag/EB matches it was always the same thing that YB and Mag had more ppl than you and we both sucked at 1v1’s and all we ever did was zerg. Why don’t you grow some balls and admit that sometimes your skill is not as good as you think it is and stop being whiny little kittens.

If you do you will probably notice that more than half of the red names that appear in it are actually Necro minions. So that is not a zerg

This matchup has been so close and I’m loving it. I even looked back through the history of various matches and I honestly couldn’t find one this close. This is how it should be kitten it. (Though I have to admit some deficiencies in times, Kain in the pre-morning of North America, and Yak in the evening in North America) CD seems to have a good mix in both. Not sure how the hell you work that out, but it’d be nice to not see folks dominating and the disappearing. This is from the CD side personally.

in NA there has only been 1 matchup close to the current one
Early October last year was YB-SoR-NSP matchup that by the end of it was 4k between 1st and 3rd

in EU on the other hand there have been 4
December last Year on EU PS-AR-GD 5k
early April UW-DL-MS 3k
mid May GD-MS-FS 3k
last week UW-RoS-FR 4k

From what I’ve seen and remember from last time we were in T3 BT have gotten much better at what they do. Last time they weren’t too much of a problem to deal with from my POV. Now though everytime i see a group of BT my first reaction is “oh kitten”

On a completely unrelated note, I wish you could have the option to turn off swearing filtering.

Had an awesome time at Green Vale last night in YBBL, 2 of us sat in that camp until it was fully upgraded It was great fun beating back the 3-5 FA that kept trying to take it.

I’m sorry thief from AVTR that I(Sylvari Necro) couldn’t kill you before reinforcements arrived, we had some awesome close battles there.

The thing I’m curious about though is will the game let us actually skip tier 3? Has a server skipped tiers before?

YB went from tier 6 to 4 in one week. Other servers may also have done so but I don’t know them.

For NA -NSP went from T7-T5 at one stage followed 2 weeks later by SoR going from T5-T3 and then the week after that YB went from T6-T4
For EU – MS went from T5-T3 and AG went from T7-T5

TC for best server, they have a great community and were awesome to fight against.
If i wasn’t a Yak I’d definitely be a TC Pirate.
Other servers that have impressed me over the passed year are SoR v1.0 and NSP – that match-up we had was awesome

Had an awesome time on EB tonight(8pm-12 AEST aka Oceanic Primetime) was in a group that started off about 5-6 of us defending Mendon’s against about 25 or more TC that had trebs and catas and bals oh my! We had no supply camps at the time so were running supply from Overlook or YBBL when we could. TC took down the wall quite a few times with their 3 trebs before we were able to knock them down. Then they came back with a few ballista to clear the top of the walls but by this stage there was about 10-15 of us so some of us ran(jumped) up the back of that group of rocks or just charged up the front and took them down. Then TC set up some catas and started knocking down the walls again but the moment they were stepping inside those walls it was a massacre, we had 3 ballistas set up at the lord to take you out. I don’t know how but somehow after we took out those catas we were able to push you back and pretty much wipe you out. This of course was over the span of a couple of hours i think.

After this I started running supply from YBBL to Mendons to get those walls up but got distracted in YBBL by FA trying to take BL with a bit of siege in the tunnel there. we pushed em off there and they just started doing supply circuits. I am le tired now so I’ll see ya tomoz!

Today was great fun… Started out on FABL with the SM like garrison but it seemed like once one of our commanders left that half the people we had there left as well. So we just tried to hold that SW corner of the BL but that Bay Keep is really hard to hold compared to the others. We ended up being sandwiched between FA & TC – TC took briar and FA the keep so we headed over to TCBL to try and see what we could do there. It was completely green when we got there apart from 1 camp we had in SE, we took lake without any swords popping until we hit the lord and then tried to take Hills. We got in but took to long to try and cap it in which time TC turned up and kicked us out. It was about this time that i had enough of losing so i headed to YBBL and participated in taking that SW corner.

All in all it’s been a fun reset day. We shall see what the rest of the week brings though

Yeah i was in that Cliffside/Garrison fight on the SF Borderlands too. I have to say it was the most fun I’ve had in WvWvW since the NCPvsSoRvsYB match
