It’s certainly hard to deny something is up with the system.
Whether players that log off in WvW are still counted, or maybe there’s a much bigger delay between someone leaving WvW or switching maps and the queue system getting that message.
If 50 people log off but for whatever reason it’s not registered for a lot longer than it’s supposed to, then by the time 50 more are let in to replace them, 50 others could have left leaving you with a small amount of people and just a slow trickle coming back in.
Yeah it’s really bothersome when everything is popping in and out like it is now.
This was to be expected though, it’s the same thing that happened when they tried out this system in WvW and people complained then, but they decided to go with it again anyway.
Bit of a kicker for engineers underwater, with grenades being nerfed because of the enabling of sigils and then having 2 of the direct damage sigils not working underwater.
I haven’t tested the Earth sigil underwater, does that work?
Neither sigil or fire or air work underwater sadly.
Yup, so many times this has been asked but it has gone ignored.
Such an annoying problem that should really be simple to fix, I’m not sure how it could take this long to get this done unless they don’t think it’s an important issue.
We don’t need more DE’s we need better rewards and more reason for people to go out and explore.
Yup, there’s already a whole world out there, they just messed up badly at getting people wanting to go out there once they’ve out leveled it.
Until they figure out a way to keep people doing DE’s and going around the world I’ll bet they will just stick to making dungeons as content as they can more easily keep people wanting /needing to do them.
Can we have both? I don’t want to have to spend 2-5 min running around looking for a DE, it happens frequently. More DE’s sprinkled in so that we don’t see the same events over and over and over would help a lot too.
More would always be welcome, but it’s the fact that no ones really doing the ones they have in now, so why spend more time making DE’s when they can just fall back on the old gear grind dungeon route via fractals. At least until they find a way to get people wanting to do DE’s and explore etc.

Pretty sure he isn’t even aware that there might be a bug involved. He had no clue that the “phantasm delay that was in since the BWE2” wasn’t affecting most people since they took the traits to get rid of it.
I would not be surprised at this. It’s not just mesmers either, they’ve been clueless on a lot of issues for other classes as well.
I think that’s the main reason there have been so many confusing nerfs and buffs between most of the classes, they don’t fully understand them and also why a lot of bugs have gone unfixed for so long.
Very few go there anymore since it was never all that fun of a zone and after the constant nerfs affecting the area the reasons for going there are currently slim.
They would either have to re-design the whole place to make it enjoyable, or stop the nerfing and add reasons to go there.
Glad to see the Pop Gun now has a sound!
Only have one complaint, on the engineer the ‘pop’ goes off for both Blunderbuss and Jump Shot which don’t really fit. Really should only ‘pop’ for Hip Shot and maybe Net Shot (Net Shot doesn’t get a pop currently).
I’d be fine with a 5 second CD, most skills like that for all classes have a 5 or 10 second CD so it fits. I’d accept 10 seconds as reasonable enough, though not be all that happy.
15 second CD is just heavy handed, and they JUST said in the patch notes that they were against huge increases that upset how things are, so how did this sneak in there…
Worst of all, they sneak it in with no mention in the notes, and so far have ignored us on it while they have commented on other patch issues, really bugs me.
Oi, I knew they’d have to throw something in there to annoy me, was too good to be true…
Only thing that I could see being unfair is for people who once again didn’t get a chest, as a lot of people didn’t actually get anything sent.
I used to get it all the time, until I turned sound quality down then it stopped for over a month. As of the 12/3 update I am once again getting it, regardless of sound setting.
Every large battle in both WvW and PvE areas.
One of the main reasons for losing target, especially when in a cramped and crowded area is the fact right click controls both camera movement and target select.
If you move the camera around and happen to end on something you will select it instead. A known issue, but it seems to be waaaay down on the devs list.
The amount of issues each patch brings is something that I expect from the small understaffed indie devs, but certainly not a company like Anet…
While I’m sure there will be some good changes, I sadly suspect more of them will hated.
My guesses on a couple: Grenade #1 becomes player targeted, but with reduced damage and the Elite Supplies trait is changed to switch mortar increased range with increased damage.
I also expect a storm of rage if those changes happen.
Lot of us were doing our best to hold out in SoR BLs, but eventually we got wore down, was fun though.
Me personally, I have enjoyed this match as much as the last one. Certainly much more fun then the match ups where we (Tarnished Coast) owned 90%+ of the map anytime I played so there was nothing to do.
In the Eternal Battleground we’ve been quite capable of taking and holding our fair share during the times I play and having a great time doing so. Having tough opponents just makes the fighting more exciting imo.
You also have a lot of people who came to the server not to roleplay, but because they enjoy the atmosphere and community that roleplayers usually bring about based on past experiences and enjoy just being apart of it.
Anet just made the same mistaken assumption EA/Mythic did with WAR, that there are enough people who will play for the ‘honor’ of their server/realm/faction and didn’t put any ‘carrots’ in to encourage defending. The reality is, the majority of gamers now don’t care about server pride like they were counting on.
They would also need to give more reward to defending than attacking to have any real effect since attacking will always have a higher ‘base’ appeal to it.
Zerging around taking things, while letting the following zerg take it back, then going back around again will most likely be the norm the majority of the time and it would be tough to change that.
Aye, it’s too bad they never thought of custom kit or even turret looks, and kind of surprising since as mentioned the game is so focused on cosmetics.
I love my engineer most of all the classes I’ve played, but I find myself sometimes more into my warrior simply because I have the added fun of finding different looking weapons.
I think the flamethrower looks great and all, but by level 80 it loses a lot of the wow-factor it had when I first pulled it out so it would be nice to change the look.
Sadly, considering I’ve yet to see even the briefest mention of this by anyone at Anet I bet it’s way way down if even it’s on their list.
Yeah, I was pretty disappointed when I got to Orr.
I can sort of understand why they made the rest of the game so easy (even though they said they weren’t going to just cave to all the whiners) but I don’t understand why Orr couldn’t have been made a challenge.
Before I got there, I had pictured it as being a big battle where we were constantly gaining and losing control of areas, sometimes having to retreat and re-group at a starting base camp etc. Needing to fight on multiple fronts at the same time and all that.
They seem to be all upset that people just sit around farming, and keep spending all their time trying to prevent it but really it’s their own fault, the whole zone is essentially setup and designed for just that.
I have the same problem, just started recently for me. Everything used to load in fast, now I have to sit and wait a good 30-40 seconds minimum to see NPCs/map/character ragdoll etc. after I’ve first loaded into a map.
Same situation here with my client, used to load pretty fast, now Lion’s Arch especially takes 1+ minutes now and after I load the map it takes a good 30-40 seconds before any NPCs or players show up. Once loaded it runs fine, but the wait can be annoying.
Not sure if this is a glitch with the game, or something related to my client/computer but as long as I can remember, since back as far as the BWEs some NPC description text has an E with a line above, like an accent, in place of the word ‘and’ mainly .
Never thought much of it until now since it doesn’t effect gameplay, but I’ve never seen anyone else post about it, so I figured I’d find out.

Can’t really call it stabbing us in the back when they are supposed to be our enemies…
There is a reason they’re called ‘Blue Invaders’ and not ‘Blue Allies’ or ‘Blue Bros’.
They can play it how ever they want, nothing idiotic about it.
As an Engineer it was pretty tough for the most part, but I did manage to get through it without dying.
I liked the idea of the mission, the seriousness and even the mass spawning etc, but going from piece of cake easy in the main PvE, to the level that some of these story missions have can be frustrating and take a lot away imo.
I think that’s the main thing causing people problems with them, most people are spec’d and geared based on the too easy DEs/hearts, then get thrown into something a lot different being forced to take hits.
If more DEs were on the same level as this mission, people would be better used to dealing with this stuff.
Definitely not just you, from 50+ I’ve been having a hard time finding DEs that are not broken and it’s really been killing my desire to play sadly.
The worst thing imo though, is that they stayed bugged for days in a lot of cases despite people reporting them. Would have hoped they had a way to restart them easily.
I like it, reminds me of Cathy Jones when she says that.
“Also experienced the same bugged event in Snowden Drifts, this was on the server Tarnished Coast.”
I’ve been to that event dozens of times over the course of 3 characters and it’s always been stuck in that state when I’ve been there, also on Tarnished Coast. Makes the way point there always contested.
I get this and the echoing click noise as well. The echoing click noise bothers me the most though, so sharp and loud.
Happens to me as well, most often when loading into WvWvW. When it happens to me, just before I’ll hear a loud ‘clack’ sound.
