Thank You so much!
Weird that its from an external source. ESL should seriously make their own ):
It should be available sometime soon on http://pro.eslgaming.com/gw2/proleague
http://eslgaming.com
And move on to the fact that you now toss double elim out the window.
How can you possibly excuse that?
It was always the plan to do single elimination for the Monday matches, check the forum post where we announced that Saturday would be double elim: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/pvp/Pro-League-Open-Qualifiers/first#post5755165
We reseeded this bracket so that the WB teams will fight vs. the LB teams as that is in our, and many others, opinion the most fair way to do things.

We have listened to your feedback and been looking at how we could make changes to the format but still follow our schedule and time available.
We have decided to make the Open Qualifiers on Saturday double elimination. On Saturday play will continue up until top 8. Top 8 will then be seeded into a single elimination bracket that will be played on Monday, the 4 winning teams will have secured themselves a spot in the ESL Guild Wars 2 Pro League. The matches on Monday will also be broadcasted live from our UK studios on http://twitch.tv/guildwars2.
Please keep in mind that this will make the tournament on Saturday run longer than first expected, we’ll do our best to keep delays a minimum and also hope that teams will do their part to have everything run smoothly.
Good luck to all participants

does the qualifier have loser bracket?
The Open Qualifier will be single elimination.
http://eslgaming.com
any new about how you are going to do the seeding
The plan is to use mainly the Go4 rankings but other major competitions might affect your seeding as well. More info on how the qualifiers will be seeded should be available soon.

There is an issue with the signups for NA. The site asks for an EU gameaccount even when signing up for NA qualifiers.
I’m not entirely sure why this error is occurring, please open a support ticket at http://play.eslgaming.com/guildwars2/global/support so we can take a closer look at it.
EDIT: Found what was causing this error, should be fixed now.

Just be patient, it’ll most likely be up on youtube in the following days

Oh and also, it wasn’t just Chaith who got the NVIDIA card, all the players got one, he was just the only one to have it handed to him on stage
http://eslgaming.com
- Keyboards and mice: I did notice most players were playing with a different mouse and/or keyboard compared to its partner. I don’t know if they are the player’s personal equipemnt brought from home or ArenaNet/Gamescon actually was able to deliver what the player wanted.
As referee for this event I guess I can give some insight. All players could bring their own equipment if they wanted to. Some players didn’t bring their own equipment and in that case we provided them with proper keyboards and mice.
Lan or..?: Afaik there can be DC’s in a LAN. But if I heard it right, a caster mentioned ‘internet’. Not sure if he was wrong or the Tournament is actually logged onto the internet. If they are, then that might cause (security) problems compared to 100% LAN without any internet. This might be far-fetched but a DDoS can always happen to that certain IP once its traced.
All matches happened on the live GW2 servers. Obviously ESL took security into consideration and did everything to prevent DDoS attacks or similar events. Some of the internet problems we had were actually because of our security, some new IPs had to be whitelisted for it to work. It’s still not really known what caused one of the other internet issues, whether it was ESL’s firewall or the GW2 login servers, but I can say for sure that it wasn’t a DDoS attack as that would’ve affected more than just a few players since we were all on the same network.

To people saying they should use the prize money on balancing the game, please understand that they will NEVER take money from balance and development and use it for a tournament prize pool. It’s two completely different budgets.
http://eslgaming.com
After investigating this case we’ve come to the conclusion that the match result for the match will stand, no rematch is needed.
By watching the VoDs from the match and comparing it with meshu.6832’s screenshots it’s clear that oRNG didn’t use any of the information that meshu.6832 was messaging to Fraelin to their advantage.
After the first match meshu.6832 was banned from the arena which means he can’t have given any information to anyone about the match during the last two games which were also the only games oRNG won. The only match where meshu.6832 allegedly helped them were also the only match they lost.
None of the teams involved in this match will be penalized.
Twitch Heroes will be penalized for playing with players not on their roster and meshu.6832 will be penalized for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Twitch Heroes will lose the right to receive any potential rewards they may have won during the tournament.
http://eslgaming.com
Just want everyone to know that we at ESL are already looking into the case and will write a response in this thread when we have come to a conclusion.

Because people with real lives dont want to wait around for 3 hours to play a game.
I can assure you that no one is waiting 3 hours to play one game. It would help a lot if you could give an example of a time where you’ve waited for a long time to play your match, otherwise I won’t be able to look into why this is happening.

there are limited spots for ESL and AG tournaments.
Just want to let you know that there’s unlimited spots in all ESL tournaments, so there’s room for all teams who’d like to participate :)

ESL recently threatening to cut rewards if less than 8 teams register for each session …. We see that esport does not touch enough people because the number of tournaments is too small, people do not want to face the top teams.
I’d like to make it clear that this was a requirement from our sponsor, ArenaNet. We’re still hoping for as many teams to sign up as possible and hope that this requirement won’t be an issue for the amount of people who wants to sign-up for our cups.
http://eslgaming.com
Together with ArenaNet we’re continuing the Go4GuildWar2 series for EU & NA for another three months! There’ll still be 500 EUR/USD and 20k gems up for grabs every single week!

@ Eurantien.4632: 2 vs 2 sounds good to me, thanks for giving out these links. Also, I don’t think ESL is for NA peeps so I’m gonna look into Mistpedia I guess?

“We have given out thousands of dollars to players” Nope.
I, as well as every other winner of a Go4 tournament, have not seen a dollar yet. I won money as far back as November and I still don’t have the money nor a date when I will receive it… ESL has been rather unprofessional in their collection of our information as well as the distribution or prize money…. Anet or ESL needs to do something to fix this…
I unfortunately only know how it happens on EU but I’ll also let our NA department know about it.
But for EU all prizemoney are paid to the team leader either via PayPal or bank transfer. All money from November & December have been paid out, so in case you haven’t gotten your prizemoney yet either talk to your team leader or please submit a support ticket at http://play.eslgaming.com/guildwars2/support

The EU cup is now live!
http://eslgaming.com
lol, not sure but I know by looking at brackets some games are like by’s, makes me think whoever is in charge of this just assumes teams are playing regardless of asking them, but who knows.
We don’t sign anyone up for the cup without confirmation from a team member.

Speaking of PvP youtube videos, it boggles my mind how ESL gives $400 weekly… Yet they don’t post there videos on the forums or to youtube, and if they do, its not very good advertising because I’m not and if I’m not than most people aren’t aware of it.
ArenaNet put together a great playlist with some VoDs from our Go4 series here.
Otherwise you can find most VoDs on Blu’s channel or Jebro’s channel
You can also just go on YouTube and search for “esl gw2”

Hey all,
I’m Laaw, you might’ve seen me ingame on my characters Mr Laaaw or Legendary Laaw.
I’m currently looking to sub for any team that wants me for the NA ESL Go4 cups, due to me also being european I won’t be able to play in ALL of the cups, but should be available for the majority.
I main ranger and have around 4k (can’t really tell the exact amount since my stats were reset -.-) games played on the class, I’m able to play every ranger build currently out there but atm my main spec is power, which is of course not really preferred by a lot of people, so I’m also able to play my survival build.
I was on a solid team, Team Mister, just over a year ago, but since my team disbanded I have just been subbing for different teams every now and then in different tournaments.
Reason why I’m only looking to be a sub and not a solid player on the roster is also because of me being european, so it’s hard for me to attend to NA practice times.
Anyways, if you need one more for your pug team or solid team for one of the Go4s (or other cups for that sake) feel free to hit me up no matter what skill level.
/Laaw

Hey,
I’ve been playing PvP exclusively since betas, which means I obviously had a lot of games played, iirc it was around 4k. Though, for some reason it says I only have 14 games played now.
I’m hoping this is a bug and that my stats didn’t get reset.
http://eslgaming.com
This starts in 1 hour! Still time to sign-up!
http://eslgaming.com
Everyone will be allowed to play in all of our Go4GuildWars2 cups, we won’t add any further restrictions to the cups during the time they function as qualifiers.
EDIT: With “everyone” I mean everyone that follows our current rules/requirements
http://eslgaming.com
Is it only for EU people?? How come NA people can’t participate in this official event? Or I didn’t understand it correctly?
Not sure what exactly you mean with an official event, it’s an official ESL event if that’s what you mean, yes.
The GW2 section at ESL consists of two departments, NA and EU. Different people are running both departments which means we don’t necessarily host the same tournaments.
