The jumping puzzle needs to moved to a separate zone, with its own queue slots.
It does nothing to help the server you represent points wise, and only encourages the PvE crowd to take up spots in the queue that should be used by people who want to aid your servers objectives.
Its all swings and round abouts atm…
Some people look for the easy life, easy kills etc… and jump upon the latest bandwagon until the next one comes along.
Then its the people who believe they are better than the server they represent, so move to what they perceive as greener pastures.
And, the server loyalist, who think the server they represent needs improvements, and so try to recruit guilds/people from other servers.
The result is what we have now, maybe in the months ahead after paid transfers kick in, we might get a stable competitive world vs world game.
This week has been a great match up, props to the server loyal people/guilds, the 28th, may not come soon enough…
When, Bandwagon vs Bandwagon may die & World vs World vs World may actually begin.
The last buses leaving soon… all aboard.
Downstate is fine as it is.
The EB has a portal entrance, it is already an instance. I dont understand why it has to share the map resources has EB?
Making it so when you enter the EB jumping puzzle, you leave the WvW map to a seperate instance, then to rejoin WvW you have to join the queue again (if there is one).

Please move the jump puzzle from WvW maps to a instance, so many people wasteing space in the normal WvW map. Clogging chat with Jump puzzle related stuff.
Nothing is more disheartening, than losing a keep, meanwhile you have people in chat talking Jump puzzle, even going so far as to ask for help in there.
People joining only to only do the jump puzzle asking for portals up, while WvW’ers are fighting trying to save a vital keep/towers is annoying.
Please I beg you, move the Jump puzzle to its own world, so the jump puzzler’s can go play it together.
Currently, when you take a tower/camp etc… the Boss gets the “can not be killed” buff for around 4 minutes. Yet, a zerg can still kill it (abiet a bit slower)… so, is this just a discription mistake? As it clearly states “Can not be killed” as part of the buffs discription.
Its becoming more often, people just entering WvW especially in the EB then asking “any mesmer in jump puzzle?”. The entire chat get spammed with people asking for the portal for free siege.
It would be better to have a seperate zone, failing that at least a seperate chat channel to stop chat interferance.
Downstate is a good addition to GW2’s play, removing it would be a bad thing.
The only problem with downstate, is it cause inane threads like this. Instead of just playing the game, some people need something to moan about on the forums, downstate is just one of them.
Why make 2 threads on the same subject?
Why do some guilds claim to WvW oriented when they clearly are not?
For example, a guild advertised in WvW borderlands claiming they were an organized WvW oriented guild with 300 people. After a few question asked to the recruitment person, I was happy to join them thinking I’d get some good groups.
At first look, I counted 100 people online. I thought this is going to be fun, but to my disappointment it anything but… checking guildies whereabouts I counted less than 10% in WvW, this hardly improved at all throughout the days. They had daily WvW events, where all people were expected to attend, but only around 20% of online people attended.
So, why advertise as WvW guild, when you are majority PvE guild?

There are different classes, which have different skills, which have different play styles, which creates a different experience for the player.
Lets keep things different… difference is good.
I wish people would stop moaning about downstate.
It’s a great little feature, which is unique & adds diversity to the gameplay. Try think of it as a strategic pvp addition to everybody’s attack/defence plans.
If they remove this feature, we will take a step closer to every other run of the mill MMO. Leave downstate as it is.
I disagree with most suggestions here.
I bought GW2 for the WvW, I like the fact it is different to most games & would like to keep it that way.
Adding features that have been done in other games such as fog of war/gear progression etc… is not good and a backwards step. As for objectives flipping being to easy, it promotes stratagies & makes a casual player feel they do contibute, and does not force lock people into taking/holding certain objectives.
Down state, i like it, it adds dimension to the gameplay.
The game is fine as it is, though maybe in game live matchup scores/league table & a few bugs fixed, then it would be better.
To me, the 1 week match up has proved to be long enough, hopefully they will re-think thier fortnightly plans & leave it at its current state.
I play GW2 for WvW only, but I think the dedicated WvW’ers are in the minority, as I have been in several guilds on a few servers who claim they’re WvW oriented but simply are not.
To many fair weather players play GW2 for WvW to be a serious Esport.
I think they have been imformative so far.
Though, in order to keep us imformed & not feel abandoned, a constuctive monthly update on the progress toward player concerns would be nice.
Please keep it as it, big battles between zergs is what makes this game, it keeps the game flowing…
I want to play World vs World… Please, if you want to play 5v5 go to sPvP/tPvP. Stop trying to change the game for the many, to needs of the few.
This match is no challenge, though still has the occasional battle.
Any objectives achieved are short term, knowing our coverage cant hold them.
Night capping was big bad and evil when Deso/VS etc… were night capping.
Now its become a inconvenience of server hoppers, funny how things change.
So… The only way to beat Blacktide now, is for others servers to match your coverage by attracting guilds to combat you, in time this may happen but atm seems no wants to.
Still, I guess it was worth it? Concentrating all the “elite guilds” into 1 server, to combat the big bad servers such as Deso/VS etc…. Hope it doesn’t get too lonely at the top
