This is an intended effect for the Superior set. For balance reasoning we cannot have 3 sets of 15% boon duration.

Apologies from [Team] for zerging tonight. We had as many as 8 people at one point (everyone from the guild basically) and we felt like a dirty zerg!
It is quite unbelievable what 8 man [Team] zerg can do. Capped hills, bay on 2 different borderlands and got the garrison of MS.

I am not sure if this is an intended engineer mechanic but I was playing in sPvP today, I had Elixir as my regular (not underwater) healing skill and Medkit for underwater healing. I was fighting a necro and used my 6th skill to heal but conditions were though so I decided to dive to water to get advantage due to sharks.
Now the problem here is Medkit has the heal on F1 button so as soon as I was in underwater I used my F1 to get another heal then swam back to the shore to use my 6th skill to heal and pretty much “abused” my double healing skills by going into water. I kinda feel this isn’t intended. Is this a bug or should these heals share a common cooldown?

Admittedly, confusion needed some nerf. I am not saying cutting the damage into half is the best way to do it but it sucks whenever I use a skill to remove confusion but it removes some other condition and I die due to 10 stacks of confusion on me because I am trying to get rid of confusion.
Also confusion proccing on skills like dodge traits was a little too much too handle. It’s not really that great to play against engineers or mesmers stacking tons of bleed/burn/poison on you when you are just there taking all the damage because confusion would kill you if you attempt something.

Hello fellow players,
As many of you who are familiar with WvW, the southern windmill on the borderlands is a popular place to hold duels and GvG’s. It’s a great place to see some awesome fights/tactics. However these fights are usually getting ganged by some specific guilds or people and this isn’t really cool.
Everyone is welcome to duel there. If you want to fight, just join or invite players to your party. There is absolutely no need to zerg up and mess everything there. Both you players and your guilds are losing respect in your server and among other servers.
EDIT: well now that I read through your comments I want to add something. Please come and mess the duels up. Bring your entire zerg and beat the crap out of dueling players and if possible stay and camp there forever to mess with duels. The longer you are there, the better. Maybe that 2 minutes you spend on attacking us could have helped my server capping a keep, who knows.

Would OP be even starting this thread if he had a precursor dropped on his lap after say, using the Mystic Toilet for less than 5 times? He is starting the thread because he is angry and bitter. Angry and bitter because he spent so much effort, time and gold and no precursor, while his neighbor has the precursor drop on his lap just like that.
No, I’d have written the same post if I get a precursor on first try. I’d have written the same post again if I got a Dawn instead of Dusk from mystic forge. It’s random. There is no progress.

1) Fight Mechanics: There should be some other mechanic than “DPS DPS DPS, dodge whenever boss raises his hand.”. But it shouldn’t be a poorly designed mechanic like early Simin in Arah p4.
2) Fractal Progression: Its pretty much limited to lvl 49now. Or we need someone to open an odd level for progress in order to avoid Maw Agony.
3) Too many currencies: We have Gold, Karma, Laurels, Commendations, Fractal Relics, Pristine Relics, Badges of Honor, Gems. (Anything I missed?)
4) Ascended Gear: It takes 20+ days to get an amulet (considering you get monthly laurels) and forces us to choose a character. Why can’t we have ascended gear for all our chars in a shorter time?
5) Guild Missions: Some of the bounties are ridiculously difficult to kill. Small sized guilds can no longer attract players. Some guild treks are bugged and guilds cannot complete the mission to earn merits.
6) WvW: Culling has been fixed, the gameplay feels smoother. But we want/need different maps. Day time play is good but usually the server with the good night crew get the advantage (I am not saying close WvW during the night). Supply shouldn’t be just for repairs and siege but should also affect players. If the players don’t have any supply for some time, they should get starvating debuff which affects their fighting skill. (This may be a stupid thing though, guilds can just camp supply-camps all day long but can also be fun)
7) sPvP/tPvP: Some classes aren’t viable at all.
8) Dungeon Level/Monster Power: The difficulty in each dungeon is same which makes it boring after some time. Having a Monster Power level, where mobs, bosses have different attacks/has more damage/hp can add more fun to the game. The higher levels should have better rewards to attract players. (Pretty much like fractal leveling)

10) Mystic Forge: Lots to say about this. Award players with a special coin (ooh no new currency) for every attempt for precursor, get a precursor from a vendor from 100 coins. If 4 same items are placed, don’t return the same item (doesn’t necessarily need to be an upgrade but it’s not fun losing 3 items).

Whenever I log in, I find something I want to do whether it is doing a dungeon or searching the dyes or weapons to get a better look or a superior build that crashes everything and getting the gear/profession for that build.
The game is evolving, but some mechanics are the same since day 1 and these turn the game into non-fun.
I just wanted progress towards precursor. The other stuff you need for legendary accumulates slowly but precursor doesn’t. Getting 77 Mystic Clovers can be difficult but I see them growing in my inventory, this gives me power and will to continue.
Why doesn’t Zommoros award me with a special coin for every attempt for precursor? And I can get a precursor for 100 coins for example? There is progress here. This is what I want. Not dumping all of my hard earned gold into nothing.

I feel your pain and agree, RNG is just… way too hardcore in a game that wasn’t supposed to have grind, much less the vertical kind.
I’d recommend just quitting and sitting on your account instead of giving everything away as maybe someday ANet will make the game better, supposedly we are getting the legendary scavenger hunt that was mentioned months ago, so there’s that… maybe in 2015 if we’re lucky. But still, I’ll take anything you don’t want.
Since most of the stuff is soulbound, I just end up giving crafting materials (Around 2k Mitril Ingot – Elder Wood Plank – 200 Ectos). All the gold I had has been dumped into mystic forge.

It’s weird the obsession some people have with the legendary weapons. People want them because they are rare and unique, and not everyone has one. but then kitten and moan because they are rare and unique, and it’s hard for “me” to get one.
You totally misunderstood the post and failed to contribute anything to this topic. There were 2 points I wanted to mention in that post:
1)The randomness in this game is favoring some players more than the others and creating inequalities.
2)Our progression in the game is limited or at an end. We cannot simply advance in Fractals and other dungeons aren’t getting any harder. Most of the content is just pressing movement keys.1) The randomness for a purely cosmetic item, how is that creating inequality?
2) You’re right there is no gear-grind at end game. I concede a game without gear grind doesn’t have it. (except for legendary weapon skins that have a different randomness system then grinding a raid over and over hoping for a drop, and a lucky loot roll.)

this is going to be another post about legendary precursors and the game in general and chances are slim that you are going to read here anything that hasn’t been already written hundreds of times before.
I have started playing shortly after launch and played really hardcore to this day, got 2600+ playing time. I really enjoyed leveling my first two characters, exploring the scenery, vistas, personal story (how different races have different story lines that connect at some point). Afterwards leveling another character through regular gameplay seemed boring so started dungeoning and swapped chars at end, then crafted the remaining levels. I got 6 80s, used them in different dungeons (got dungeon master title, all dungeon sets), fractals (got to a high level but cant progress anymore) , sPvP, WvW etc. Long story short, enjoyed most aspects of the game.
After dungeon master title, it was time to learn how to speedrun every dungeon, learned that too but doing them were kind of boring because the difficulty was always the same. Fractals were introduced at that point and they were going to be a thing! Getting harder and harder each level, finding new tactics using team builds etc. Could have grinded that thing for years but our progression was stopped! You wanna go on? Infuse your backpiece! (Not to mention this costed around 100gold) Do your daily fractals, maybe you will get lucky and get a ring from your daily fractals! Wanna proceed more? Wait till we introduce ascended amulets but wait another 30 days to get them! Wanna go on even further? Join a big guild and do guild missions and in 3 weeks you will get an ascended earring! Or you can just wait another 40 days + 50 ectos to buy one! Oooh wait noone wants the class you play on high level fractals? Guess you have to level another class through fractals and wait 2 months to get ascended stuff on that! Anyways enough whining about fractal and ascended gear progression.
So now we are proficient in dungeons, cannot proceed anymore in fractals (unless we pay some high level so that they open an odd number fractal where we dont have to go through Maw agony), what is left to do? WvW and sPvP! It was a great fix to culling and made WvW playable. We are no longer charging into 50+ people without being aware of it and getting insta wiped but zerging is still a problem, endless sieges are still a problem. sPvP has its own issues but Anet really doesnt care about it that much probably except for nerfing elemanalists all the time.
Since all the gear in the game has same stats, the end game fun is character armor combination, finding perfect dyes and with the end goal of getting a legendary. The gear progression is fun but legendary isn’t. I understand that getting the legendary is a long term goal but the randomness is taking all the fun out of it. Lets go through the steps to get a legendary.
Gift of Mastery: Skill points, map completion, WvW badges (gift of zerging/jumping as some call it), karma (which is way easier now with those karma jugs etc). In my opinion the easiest gift to get.
Gift of Fortune: 250 of all T6 mats, mystic clovers, ectos. The name implies fortune and you have to have fortune to get those clovers from Mystic forge and those ectos from rares and T6 mat from monsters. Or just grind money and buy those stuff.
Legendary weapon Gift: 100 Icy runestone (which is a pain to buy since it asks all the time if I want to buy it), and other gifts which you need to either farm those elementals or dungeon to get the lodestones or just grind money to buy them from TP.
And the final component is the precursor. The real pain! The real reason I decided to write this post.
Some of the players are extremely lucky and get it in their first attempt while others dump thousands of rares/exotics into Mystic Forge in an attempt to get the final component that is necessary. Another aspect of the game where our progress is stopped. I can still hear Zommoros, he is telling me:
“More rares! More exotics!”
“What are you going to do with them?”
“Give me 4 and I’ll give you 1 back”
“Sounds like a good deal, here 4 Corrupted Avengers”
“I award you with: Crafted Exotic Greatsword”
“Wow thanks! Crafted Exotic Greatsword for 4 Corrupted Avengers! Sounds like a perfect deal”
Anyways, I have whined enough and my last words will be:
The randomness is killing this game. I don’t wanna play a game where a single party member gets 3 Charged Lodestones from one path and I get nothing from 13 paths. I don’t want to play a game where some lucky guy gets a Precursor on his first attempt, sells it, buys 4 rares, gets another precursor and becomes super rich in 10 seconds while I have to dump thousands of items to get Craftable Items. Therefore I am quitting the game. I still have some items I want to give away, so send me a mail in game or forums. And lets hope the randomness works in your favor too!

With the new dailies such as Ascalon Veteran Slayer or Shiverpeak’s event completer is kind of forcing hardcore WvW players to do PVE content for dailies.
How about we make Borderlands count as regions, such as Blue Borderland – Ascalon, Red Borderland – Maguuma etc?

I think you haven’t read what I’ve written on my first post. I am blaming the players but the players are there because the system allows them to be there now. This wasn’t the case a month ago, so I now blame the system. Players are random I know, we can’t expect everyone to be outstanding players but I’d expect people who post on gw2lfg to do a CoF speed run to know the mechanics. Not going inside and attacking Gaheron and complaining that he is invul.
Ojimaru’s suggestion is actually pretty good. In addition to that inspecting people’s gear would also be a great improvement.

Gearcheck before you start. Many many many times I have caught people with little to no AR trying to hitch a ride on a 30+ team, or full MF sets. I get called scum, elitist, bad, w/e I really don’t care, I don’t make groups to carry people.
Oh and yes, you can always remove people at any time now which helps.
Gear check isn’t a solution.
-For AR it is helpful, you can see 3 infused items and may assume 30 AR but it can only be 15.
-As for MF sets, I carry 3 sets of armor with me and I am sure most people have an extra set too. Link the berserker/knight whatever you are wearing, run with MF set, dont think anyone would bother previewing the item and matching it with the other player.

With the disconnecting issues being fixed, I started playing Fractals again and joined a group from gw2lfg and set off to doing Fractals LvL 36. Our first fractal was the asura one, we made it fine to Old Tom, we started stacking tears and were deciding who gets which position but suddenly our warrior rushed into the boss.
The tear mechanic starts at lvl 10 and I am sure by the time you reach 36 you should learn that tears are stacked (not necessarily needed but we were a low a dps group 2 guardian 1 ele, mes, war). Upon a short conversation we learned he wasn’t on lvl36 or anywhere close, just wanted to join.
Previously when we wanted to do 36, everyone was 36 or higher. It took longer to set up a group but at least people knew what to do.
I am sure there are exceptions, really skilled players who can skip first 35 levels but lets admit it, this is very rare.
I still think, players should be able to join levels higher than their levels but I think there should be a cap to it like Personal Level+5. Otherwise in time, noone will trust the pugs or most of the runs will go terribly wrong.
Why that does cause some issues… I don’t know if a change or a limit is in order just because someone lied about their fractal level.
However, this issue is easily remedied by removing the warrior and being able to bring someone new with ease… and if this player didn’t inform the group of lack of experience, I wouldn’t expect the group to keep him around unless he put on a clown suit and did magic tricks.
Not a Serious issue with fractals imo. Annoying for sure though.
Removing that player and bringing someone else isn’t a solution. That player might be the instance owner resulting in everyone being kicked from the fractal.

We did it today again and it get bugged at a different location. Magg didn’t trigger the dens and it got skipped completely saying Kill the warden guards but the doors were closed. Please a reply on this thread. We are unable to do CoF.

We are doing CoF P2 and we have killed the devourer dens and the guards afterwards but the chain cannot be interacted. We restarted it and got the same error.

I got my first fractal skin today and I accidently used my salvage kit on it. Ideally it should ask me if I really want to salvage it, right?
Well it didn’t. It was a trident so I don’t really care but could you please add a warning asking people if they want to salvage them?
